After fuming for what felt like a couple dozen minutes, looking at the title description and it's penalties inforced into him he finally calmed down.
But with the new sense of calm also came a slowly building pit of hate.
He wanted to hate the hunters for this was partly their fault, for his was sure that they were the reason he obtained the title after they probably spread out the word about him.
He also wanted to hate Allison for she was the one that kickstarted the entire thing, with him having to flee and now he was to be hunted by organisations that he knew nothing about.
The Hunters were a prime organisation out to get him, that much he could guess but other then them he was clueless.
This wasn't the world he knew off from the TV screen, that much he had realised but he hadn't thought that he'd have to deal with the unknown so soon.
But then again this also was partly his fault.
Because for all intents, he did make a deal with an entity that would probably make demons look like stray dogs, still dangerous but not overly so compared to what he has now come to assume the being was.
He still remembers the mission he obtained that day and how he had so recklessly accepted it.
[—Mission - An Ambitious Deal.
—Description - An entity long expelled in this reality has seen you plight, he has a deal for you.
~So long as you are willing to hear.
– He wishes for you to find a way to regrow the Nematon and usher in a second birth of magic into your town.
– Accept the mission and you'll immediately be granted the following rewards.
— Reward: Genius Comprehension[Perk], Loved By Nature[Perk], A Bend In Magic[Book]
—[—]—
Honestly, the deal was good.
Probably too good now that he thought about it.
The being, whatever it was had given me a lifeline in the form of an opportunity to grow myself with the two perks and magic book.
All I had to do was find a way to regrow the Nematon, why? He didn't know but since he wasn't tasked with bringing the being back into this reality he hadn't thought much of it and accepted.
After all, it was a good deal with no time limit, meaning that he could complete the task given to him whenever he wanted.
But now he wasn't so sure whether that had been the goal that the entity wanted in the first place.
Maybe all of this had been a trap, tricks hidden beneath the sweet scent power.
' Fuck it, thinking about that shit won't do me any good. It's all said and done and I can't change anything, now I simply have to overcome whatever mess I've put myself into.'
With that thought though he wondered whether if he had known about the consequences, would he have still accepted it?
But as he stepped out of his room, seeing and feeling the humming of magic all around him while a clone at the end of a line of rooms studied the naked form of the ex-hunter he scoffed.
Of course he would have accepted it.
The thrill of power, of knowledge and the studies of taboo that he had thrown himself inside were too sweet for him to ever think of abandoning.
So what if his choices ultimately led to some troublesome things, that was how life was, some choices resulted in some unsavory and borderline annoying shit.
But it was those same choices that allowed him to gain the power he had now, the power to plan, experiment and become so much more than he could have become.
So there was no point in thinking such thoughts like 'what if?'.
He was here now, the only thing to do was move on and plan for the inevitable confrontation with his oh lovable town and it's uncanny ability to make his life difficult.
And while doing so he thought on completing the mission on regrowing the Nematon.
In the case that since the mission was incomplete then the being could hold sway in his life, cause if everything that had happened to him since now had been that things meddling then cutting himself from it could buy him time or outright break himself from it.
Afterall, as his system had stated when he accepted the mission.
[—Warning: Accepting this deal with the above entity will have consequences]
And honestly, he did not want to deal with the entity if it all came down to it.
Afterall it was only now that Markus realised that the Entity somehow could communicate with his System to a point where it could assign missions and rewards to him.
But first, he had his Status to look through.

And there it was, the culmination of all his perks– Or as they had been rebranded, Traits.
He liked the fact that he now knew which ones were better in a way, this would make understanding the tiering system of his traits a way lot easier.
And looking through all his traits tiers he grinned seeing that most were high tier, with one even being double 'S' tiered showcasing just how much more powerful it was then the others.
Though he hadn't used his strongest trait yet, unable to before he gained enough [Mind] to endure the strain that would come from looking at reality as what it was and comprehending it.
He had plans on how he could increase his mind, creating a serum being one of them but he didn't have enough confidence that he'd pull it off at the first try and he didn't have enough expendible subjects for his experiments and using his clones for that kind of experiment sounded a bit reckless.
There were a lot of things that could go wrong, especially since his mind is connected to each of his clones and he might be affected too.
But that wasn't his only plan, he had a varying amount of skills that would allow to increase his stats both physically and mentally even if not permanently.
And in the time that he's been here he has accumulated a lot and improved those he already had.
So with a mental order he pulled up his Skills, grinning as he saw the entire setup.
' Well, that's actually not a bad setup.'
