"Huff!" A blast of hot breath sprayed out, and Godzilla flicked his tail dismissively.
Just a little bug? You little shorty, what are you thinking?
Still, Herta had helped Godzilla identify this time's enemy.
A Giant Sting drifting in from space, starting trouble from the very beginning!
Could it be that when Tayzzyronth fell, it dragged all of the swarm's brains down with it?
Oh right—they never had any brains to begin with…
------------------------------------
"Hmph!" Godzilla slowly rose up. From a distance, it looked like a black mountain range undulating, gradually breaking free from the earth. The shadow that covered the sky made people unconsciously hold their breath.
The massive mountains blocked the gaze of the sky.
"Huh? Did it get dark?" Yanqing, who was talking to his sword, looked up in confusion, only to see pitch-blackness.
Just as he was puzzled...
"RAHHHH!!!"
A heaven-shaking roar echoed through the skies.
The overwhelming soundwave dispersed the darkness from his eyes.
Rising flames soared like a heavenly pillar, illuminating his body.
Day broke.
The sudden rise in temperature awakened everyone immersed in the illusion.
After a brief moment of confusion, they simultaneously looked at the source of the power...
"Lord Godzilla, and just now..." Bronya looked up at Godzilla, momentarily speechless, but her attention was immediately drawn to the stick in her hand.
She remembered—she had just treated this thing as a gift from her mother...
Without changing expression, she tossed it aside. Bronya was just about to go outside to check what was happening, to see what could have caused Godzilla to rise up, when Cocolia and Gepard pushed the door open and approached quickly.
"Mother, what happened?"
"Ms. Herta sent a message saying that a creature called the Giant Sting is spreading powder in Jarilo that causes people to enter hallucinations. We were all just affected."
"Giant Sting?" Bronya immediately recalled the swarm that had attacked Jarilo. Those bugs were huge, and anything called 'gigantic' must be on another level.
"So what is Lord Godzilla planning to do?" Bronya murmured.
...
"The Giant Sting, no matter how large, is still just a bug—not worth fearing!"
Godzilla's iron-whip-like tail swished through the air, rallying his subordinates with courage, but alas everyone just heard another high pitched roar from Godzilla.
Herta sat with great interest atop the highest tree...
Even the tallest treetop only reached a third of Godzilla's height, but even so, it was already astonishing.
Herta was very curious about how Godzilla would deal with the Giant Sting.
She had a rough idea where the Giant Sting had come from.
A straggler from the swarm attack on Jarilo who had received the signal too late.
She hadn't expected it to show up now.
More importantly, it might have been drawn here by Godzilla.
A being brimming with massive energy and life force, Godzilla was undoubtedly the favorite of the Universal Swarm Disaster—they could use his body to breed stronger offspring.
Bringing back the swarm catastrophe of years past.
Though she didn't believe that would happen.
She was very curious about what Godzilla would do. After all, the Giant Sting's sheer size was imposing, and with its powers of the path of propagation—though not as strong as abundance—it still had formidable regenerative powers.
If a single beam didn't solve the problem and the Giant Sting pounced...
"Hm? What's that!?"Just as Herta was pondering, she suddenly noticed a few dark figures flying into the sky from the corner of her vision.
Looking closely—"Stings?! True Stings?!"
Herta was stunned. She knew there were still some remaining Stings in Jarilo, but...
"What are they doing? Going to merge with the Giant Sting? Or something else?"
Herta was completely thrown off by the True Stings' strange actions.
Although not a life sciences specialist, as a genius, she knew as much about the Aeons as anyone else.
Even if they felt the Giant Sting's call, the True Stings should've been charging at Godzilla, not flying into space.
"Something's wrong. Very wrong." Herta narrowed her eyes and pulled a telescope from her pocket.
"Let me see what exactly they're aiming for."
Zooming in...
"Eh?"
...
Godzilla also watched the flying True Stings with suspicion.
But he soon realized something was off—they were evolving being influenced by him in his direction!
Outsiders couldn't tell, but Godzilla couldn't be mistaken.
These True Stings were evolving toward him—more precisely, they were using Godzilla as a blueprint, following his traces to evolve.
Though they wouldn't become true Godzilla's, they would resemble him in many ways.
That's what surprised Herta.
These bugs had actually evolved!
Godzilla pondered.
Just like creatures that fused with Godzilla's cells, beings influenced by him would undergo slight changes through evolution—the most obvious being: rebellion against their own kind!
The newly evolved True Stings no longer recognized the Giant Sting as a companion—they viewed it as an invader!
"Screech screech screech."
The sound of limbs clashing was chilling.
The True Stings charged forward without hesitation, attacking their former kin.
With extraordinary eyesight, Godzilla watched through the atmosphere, observing the evolved True Stings clashing with the Giant Sting.
Sky darkened, blood and flesh flew.
The Giant Sting did not question why its former kin were attacking—it was disturbed by the unfamiliar aura on them, and instinctively reacted with hostility.
Crunch crunch.
Its gaping maw opened, swallowing several True Stings who couldn't dodge in time.
To it, these were far too small—it needed more!
Its gaze then locked onto that green planet.
There was something it needed there.
Their eyes met—Godzilla's narrowed slightly, a dangerous aura slowly spreading. The rising heat scorched and withered the surrounding trees; what was once a vibrant forest was now shrouded in deathly stillness.
Caught in the middle, Serval and Tingyun involuntarily shivered.
"The surrounding energy is being absorbed rapidly. Is something big about to happen?" Herta looked excited. Beside her was a measurement instrument, and the climbing readings signaled that an unimaginably powerful being nearby was absorbing massive amounts of energy.
From Herta's perspective, countless energy-infused ores dimmed visibly to the naked eye. All the gathered energy surged into Godzilla, making his presence even more immense.
This phenomenon thrilled Herta.
She had originally planned to work with Screwllum on redesigning the simulated universe. Who would've thought she'd witness such a performance before leaving?
She was getting all fired up!
But her excitement was short-lived—Herta suddenly felt something off and raised her hand.
"Huh?" Electric arcs danced across her body.
A familiar sensation surged back—dark memories flooding in.
"You're addicted to stealing electricity, aren't you?!"
Godzilla had always been capable of absorbing vast amounts of energy all at once, but doing so usually made him a bit uncomfortable.
It wasn't dangerous, but the discomfort usually made him avoid this option instinctively.
But today, even a mere insect dared to offend the King of Monsters!
He had to show them what atomic might truly meant!
"ROAR!!!"
Another deafening roar echoed as arcs of electricity crackled.
His tail fins lit up, followed by his dorsal fins, and then blue-white energy flickered in his mouth.
The next second, Godzilla unleashed a breath attack straight ahead.
Surprisingly, it didn't land on the mountain range—it targeted the space above.
Instantly, a portal opened before Godzilla.
Without hesitation, he stepped in.
"Hey! Wait!"
Herta, who had been eagerly awaiting Godzilla's blast, was dumbfounded. Staring at the direction of the now-vanished portal, she was left speechless.
"It's gone? No way!"
Just as she spoke, she sensed something wrong.
She looked up suddenly.
A massive energy surge flashed in outer space.
As realization hit her, Herta's lips quivered for a while before she could react, her teeth aching from the shock.
"Hiss~ This big guy has teleportation skills?!"
