Chapter 185 - Chapter 184: The Crystal Vault

The little creature, though small, easily lifted the huge stone slab from the ground, revealing a deep, shadowed entrance. Stone steps descended into the darkness; the light grew dim, but Goku immediately sensed a dense vitality emanating from within. That rich, pure life energy was intoxicating—just one breath refreshed the spirit.

"This is the place! Please come with me," Guli exclaimed, bounding forward like a child returning home. Goku followed close behind.

The deeper they went, the brighter the light became. Before long, they stepped into a plaza that gleamed like crystal. The sight nearly overwhelmed Goku—everywhere he looked, the place shimmered as if from a dream. On staircases and pedestals, dozens upon dozens of insect eggs lay arranged like gems, each crystal-like orb emitting a faint, pearly glow.

Dawn-like light drifted like mist through the air, filling the chamber with a soft luminescence. The whole hall felt otherworldly—like an enchanted sanctuary.

At the center, on a raised stone dais, rested an egg the size of a washbasin. It sat like a monarch among stars—exquisitely translucent, its surface flowing with prismatic light. Within it life force churned; pure energy rippled outward, radiating an irresistible allure. It truly appeared destined to be king among eggs.

"So beautiful…" The women in Goku's created world watched through the screen, eyes shining. Hundreds of those crystal-like eggs together produced a jade-green radiance that was breathtaking—an attraction especially potent to them.

"This is our last sanctum where my people stored the insect eggs," Guli said, grief shadowing her face. "Unfortunately, our tribe was slaughtered by those villains. They captured every insect and kept them in cages… Now I'm the only one left." Her voice brimmed with sorrow and righteous hatred—though the perpetrators had been dealt with, her whole people had been wiped out.

"You brought me here—don't tell me you intend to give these eggs to me?" Goku looked around the chamber and smiled faintly.

"Yes. With my tribe gone, there's no one to care for all of them. If I leave them here, they'll eventually expire from lack of nurture. Take some as a token of thanks." Guli's hands trembled as she explained. "These insect eggs are crystallized condensations of life force. They have powerful regenerative properties and can also boost combat strength. I thought they might be of help to you."

"There are already many insects caged at Zornet's base," she added. "So helping yourself to these eggs is like accepting gratitude for saving our planet. I have nothing else to offer."

"If you insist, I won't refuse." Goku's smile was easy. With a thought, he collected the eggs around them. While the eggs would not greatly aid him personally, they would significantly enhance the women's combat potential back in his world—items more useful than many miraculous pills.

After offering his farewells to Guli, Goku departed the planet. The captured insects at Zornet's base would be Guli's responsibility; with the ringleaders gone, there was little left to worry about.

Back at the Crystal Palace in the world Goku had created, the women examined the eggs with delighted eyes. Though called "insect eggs," these objects were really life-energy crystals—condensed by the insects themselves. They were alive in a sense; given time, each could metamorphose into a translucent insect. For now, however, they were fully-fledged stores of life force.

"Really insect eggs? They don't look like any egg I've seen," Yue Mei said, turning one over in her hands.

"The energy is so pure. I can't believe such a miracle exists," Cai Lin murmured. She felt certain that absorbing even a single egg's energy would drastically increase her power.

"Master, why not gather all the insects here and raise them yourself?" Moonlight asked, puzzled, holding an egg.

"You can use them to increase strength, but relying on them forever isn't wise. True power must come from training and practice," Goku replied. Then, without warning, he leapt into Shizuka's arms and buried his small frame into her soft boobs. Having been held by her so often, he'd grown accustomed to the comfort.

"How are these used? Do you eat them directly?" Dan Chen asked hesitantly.

"Better to absorb them gradually through training," Goku suggested. "It's slower, but these are insect eggs—beautiful, perhaps, but still... unusual."

So the women returned to their chambers and began to refine and absorb the eggs' energy.

Two days passed in the galaxy. Suddenly, a Dragon Ball radar that had been silent began to beep.

Bulma picked up the radar with bright surprise, then frowned slightly as she read the coordinates.

Goku peered over. "What is it? Is the Dragon Ball's location odd?"

"It's just... surprising. The radar shows the ball near the direction of Minatora Planet," Bulma said.

"Minatora Planet? That name sounds familiar," Goku said lightly.

"You haven't forgotten Taurus and the others, have you?" Bulma asked with a smile.

"Taurus? That idiot? Well, what a coincidence… I didn't expect our next stop to be their planet. It's been over thirty years—wonder how those guys are doing." Goku sounded mildly nostalgic. Those men had once been part of his ragtag crew—self-appointed as it were—but he felt a small fondness for their loyal, boisterous natures.

After Bulma set the course, their spaceship sped toward Minotara.

The stars streaked past in the vast void. After two days of high-speed travel, the familiar blue globe of Minotara came into view.

Goku smiled faintly at the screen. "Minotara Planet… I do feel a little nostalgic. I wonder how those idiots are doing."

"Everyone, fasten your seatbelts. We're about to land!" Bulma called out, piloting the ship down toward Minotara.

In Village, a large square hosted dozens of minotaurs performing chaotic combat drills. Their formation was disorganized; their weapons were a motley assortment—cleavers, clubs, and the most notable, a battered kitchen knife.

A very burly minotaur stood before the group, bellowing commands at the top of his lungs. His voice boomed across the square. In one hand he brandished a chipped cleaver; his cloak fluttered behind him.

No doubt about it—this was Taurus. Thirty years had passed, yet his appearance and mannerisms were unchanged.

Taurus stood with his hands behind his back, barking orders to his minions. Yet for every command, somebody shrieked in pain.

"Stab!"

"Hey, you idiot—aim properly! I nearly got—ow! That hurt!"

"Thrust!"

"You fool! Thrust, not stab—ow! It hurts!"

"Slash!"

A loud, resounding brap echoed across the square—the unmistakable sound of someone breaking wind loudly.

"My god—you were supposed to slash, not fart!" Taurus bellowed. A chorus of embarrassed screams followed, and the minotaurs clutched their noses and scampered away.

"Boss… the IQ of our followers is horrifying. Their movements are all over the place. Casualties are heavy…" The tiny, sly-looking strategist waddled up to Taurus, clutching his posterior as if in pain; he'd almost been skewered by a spear from behind a moment before.

"Chaotic my foot…" Taurus roared just as a beeping tone sounded. He reached behind his back, felt his pocket, and pulled out a phone. "Wait—hold on, someone's calling. Hello? Who is this? State your name!"

"It's me—your second son!" a thunderous voice shouted down the line so loudly Taurus nearly dropped the phone.

"What? Your second son? Who told you that?!" Taurus shouted into the receiver.

"But Dad… I really am your second son…" the voice on the line protested with plaintive indignation.

"Damn it! All your mother's fault—who names a kid 'Second Son'? Every time I hear it I start thinking of my, uh, little brother…" Taurus barked, then shouted at the top of his lungs, "Spit it out—no, wait—just tell me what's going on!" It seemed like yelling was the only way the other party could hear him.

"Dad! Get your mens and come to the valley entrance—we got ambushed by Orley's gang!" the voice came through, now anxious.

"What? That bastard Oxley's brat? My boy can't even beat him?" Taurus's eyes bulged and he roared, "Where's your big brother? Tell him to go cut that punk down!"

"Big Bro fell for their honey trap—he ran off with Lana…"

"Damn! That big oaf is useless—fell for a beauty trap just like that! If only he had half my brains… Hold on, I'm coming to save you! Guys, move out—my Second Son's been hacked up! Time to avenge him!" Taurus charged ahead, muttering as he went, "These cell phones I brought from Earth really are convenient…"

"What? The boss's 'second' got chopped off? Brothers, grab your weapons—we'll avenge the boss!" The minotaurs gasped in horror, howling as they snatched up weapons, rage boiling off them as they charged after Taurus. Their expressions were like men whose own 'dick' had just been cut off.

"Boss, please accept our condolences…"

"Bullshit! My own second is still fine—it's my Second Son who got cut down!" Taurus roared, dark lines streaking his face. Though, really, would anyone understand that explanation?
