There were still a few vacant tables, but Aurora Perish wondered why this attractive teacher was standing right beside her while she was reading.
If she hadn't seen this woman twice before, she would have probably felt creeped out—because the woman had literally been standing there since earlier! At first, Aurora Perish tried to ignore it, thinking the teacher would leave while she was answering something, but she didn't. Who would just stand there like that anyway?
She seemed normal when she was just a waitress, but later on, she was almost abducted by those two crazy people.
"Is she a ghost or something? I really hope not."
Perhaps sensing Aurora Perish's thoughts, the woman suddenly spoke up. "I'm beautiful?" The pink haired woman pointed at herself. Aurora Perish felt even more scared. Was this some kind of question asked before death? Like that ghost Sadako—who, whenever she asked a question, you had to say "Yes, you're beautiful!" or face instant death?
But this person was different. Instead of asking, "Do you think I'm beautiful?" she sarcastically said, "I'm beautiful?" with a question mark at the end. What's with that? If she already knows, then why bother asking me? I'm not her parent, nor her partner.
Aurora Perish, who had seen the adult world, calmly answered, "Yes." No hesitation, just a simple yes. She didn't avoid eye contact, nor did the other person.
A staring contest in the library? Say no more.
As if reading her thoughts, Freya Hazel gave a genuine smile that curled at the corners of her lips. If anyone saw her smile like that, they would instantly fall in love. But Aurora Perish was different—she was an adult in a teenager's body.
The person standing in front of her had that "cool big sister" vibe, the kind that would make anyone's heart flutter. Too bad Aurora Perish preferred the "mom" type. The kind of person Aurora Perish might fall for probably already had children... and maybe even grandchildren by now.
Aurora Perish wasn't fazed by beauty. All she thought when she saw the scene before her was.
"Wow."
"Not gonna lie, the people here at school are all attractive."
Maybe it was the difference between her original world and the omegaverse. Everyone here looked like they stepped out of a magazine—seriously stunning. Aurora Perish had experienced it firsthand.
They all had different kinds of beauty—just like the person standing in front of her right now. It was a one in a million kind of beauty, the kind you'd only see 0.0001% of the time.
Aurora Perish had been genuinely stunned when she first saw the pink haired girl in the restaurant. That's why she never forgot her. And honestly, who would?
Even if Aurora Perish was older on the inside, that didn't mean she was blind. She could still tell who was attractive and who wasn't.
Anyway, seeing her standing there in heels for so long, she was probably already feeling uncomfortable.
Aurora Perish was just about to offer her a seat when the person beside her suddenly leaned in closer. Instinctively, Aurora Perish shifted farther away from Freya.
When Freya got that close, Aurora suddenly imagined a police siren blaring in her head—"Wee woo, wee woo!"
"Officer, I swear I'm not that kind of person!" Aurora Perish's imagination was running wild.
If her old friends saw her getting close to someone younger, they'd probably mock her every single day. Saying things like, "Tsk tsk, pedo," every time they caught her talking to a younger person—even if she was just asking for directions.
That's why Aurora Perish sometimes came off as overly dramatic around strangers. It wasn't really her fault it was just the result of her friends constantly teasing her about being a "closet pedophile." Even though the person in question was only two years younger than her.
Aurora Perish didn't really blame them—she did the same thing, and sometimes even worse. After all, she was the middle child in her friend group. Not the oldest, not the youngest—just stuck somewhere in between.
Maybe it was because she was thinking about her friends from her original world that Aurora Perish let out a small smile.
But then she suddenly remembered—she wasn't alone. Snapping out of it, she quickly returned to her relaxed, expressionless face.
It seemed the person beside her hadn't noticed anything. She was already focused on reading her book. Cough —the elementary level one.
As for why she was sitting next to her in the first place, even though they weren't close, Aurora Perish had no idea. But she didn't mind. After all, the girl was teaching her for free.
Why not take advantage of free lessons, right? It's free. FREE.
That's why Aurora Perish didn't mind at all.
One of the reasons she still couldn't figure out how things worked in this world was because there was no proper Yo•T•be content about it. The kind of tutorial videos she relied on just weren't popular here. All she could find were shaky, low quality vlogs that barely helped.
And to make it worse, Aurora could only access Yo•T•be by borrowing the school's computer or using a friend's phone.
After all, they already had the latest Apple devices... while she was stuck with this outdated phone.
