Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: The Great Battle Part 2 & The End

The battle with Ivarage continued for weeks as Guy and Feldway took turns fighting. While fighting, Guy launched another compressed Napalm Burst; the fire energy it contained was hotter than fifteen suns combined. As he threw it, he shouted, "Explode!" The compressed flame exploded on the face of Ivarage, completely engulfing him and reducing him to ashes. Both Guy and Feldway then attacked the ashes to delay regeneration. Feldway struck with multiple Holy Slashes. They both retreated to take some rest and recover. While recovering, Guy said, "This beast is too much pain in the ass; it is like an unkillable cockroach." Though Feldway did not say anything, from his expression, you could see he very much agreed with Guy's words.

The dimension was shaking violently with the chaotic, raw surge of Ivarage's magicules. The Beast's primal roars, having now regenerated, had corrupted the entire dimension of space. This dimensional space, painstakingly stabilized by the Primordial Angels, had begun to shake violently, which caused the Primordial Angels—Dino, Zalario, and the others who were stabilizing—to feel more pressure, causing them more strain. Dino said to everyone through telepathy, "Everyone, focus! Don't lose concentration. If we lose it now, these corrupted chaotic magicules will leave this dimension and will start corrupting the nearby universes, which we as the servants of Lord Veldanava cannot let happen." Hearing the name of Lord Veldanava, all the Primordial Angels—Pico, Gracia, Cornu, Obera, and Zalario—seemed to gain strength as they started to get their focus together and began stabilizing the dimension.

In the midst of this corrupted dimension, two figures, one scarlet and one silver, were locked in an unending battle.

Guy, the First Demon Lord, moved with killing intent. His movements were fluid, yet every step was heavy with exhaustion. His Ultimate Skill, Lucifer, Lord of Pride, was being pushed to its absolute limit to calculate and filter the ambient corruption so as not to affect him in the fight. He lunged, unleashing a concentrated, compressed beam of destructive magicules that went and hit Ivarage on the face, sending him flying back as it roared and sent another Chaotic Beam towards Guy and Feldway.

Feldway moved with machine-like precision. His silver hair shimmered, but his sky-blue eyes betrayed an endless vigilance. His Genesis Grade Sword, Ark, moved in clean, holy arcs, each swing cutting the Chaotic Beam that Ivarage sent towards them. He then sent another Holy Slash towards Ivarage, severing its body completely. As Guy and Feldway watched it regenerate quickly, Guy couldn't help but say in anger, "Damn this cockroach! How many times can it regenerate?" Feldway was also beginning to get tired mentally from continuing to fight against this beast.

The Demon Lord and the Primordial Angel, two beings who typically commanded armies of millions with a thought, were reduced to an eternal stalemate against a mindless, regenerating horror of a beast.

Just as Ivarage recovered from Guy's and Feldway's latest strike—a process that took less than a millisecond—and prepared to unleash a wide-area Chaos Beam, the most powerful it had unleashed up until now, Guy and Feldway watched. As the attack was about to reach them, they both knew they could dodge, but this attack was so powerful that if it hit the barrier, it would break the dimension, and then Ivarage's corrupted magicules would start corrupting nearby universes. Both Guy and Feldway knew they had to take this attack.

Just when the attack was about to hit Guy and Feldway, as they braced themselves for the impact, a pure energy barrier surrounded both of them. The Chaos Beam hit the barrier but did nothing. Guy, Feldway, and the others immediately felt a familiar presence in the Dimension; it was Origin.

Origin was about to enter the fight, but when he saw that the attack was about to hit Guy and Feldway, he used his Ultimate Skill's sub-skill Omega-Genesis and created a powerful defence barrier around Guy and Feldway so that they would not be hit by the attack.

As Origin stepped into the Dimension near Guy and Feldway, both Guy and Feldway had recovered their lost magicules. Guy stood with his sword in his hands, a wry, exhausted grin splitting his face. "Finally showed up, you bastard. Took you long enough to finish that little chat with that lazy Creator."

Origin nodded at Guy and Feldway and said, "Your efforts have been monumental, Guy. Feldway, your dedication is noted. You've held back a disaster. Thanks for holding it back until now; let me take over while you both recover and take rest."

Origin then focused on the outer edges, where the six Primordial Angels—Zalario, Dino, Pico, Obera, Gracia, and Cornu—were pouring every ounce of their existence into keeping the dimensional integrity from collapsing. Sweat beaded on their foreheads, and their Ultimate Skills visibly glowed with effort. Origin silently strengthened the barriers.

Origin sent a wave of calm, resonant energy toward the Angels. "Rest. For some time, I have strengthened the barriers."

The moment Origin spoke, the Primordial Angels felt the immense, unbearable burden instantly lift. The chaotic magicules hitting their shields were no longer volatile; they were merely strong, predictable energy, manageable now by their Ultimate Skills alone. Dino, wiping sweat from his brow, nearly sighed with relief.

Origin, however, was not focused on the Beast's physical power. He was analysing the deep, fundamental truth of Ivarage, and he understood. No wonder Guy and Feldway were not able to beat this beast up till now. This Ivarage is truly the other half of Sir Veldanava. I must not let others find out about this. Now, looking at it, I can feel that its core is very chaotic and pure, full of malice without any distinction; it is of pure malice and destruction, worthy of being the other half of All-In-One-God that was discarded when he created Sir Veldanava.

This Ivarage had an ability that ensured that any component of it, no matter how small or destroyed, would immediately draw in ambient chaotic magicules and reform into the whole, eternally repeating the cycle of destruction and rebirth.

Origin then snapped his finger and created multiple barriers around Ivarage so it could not move. Ivarage, feeling the barriers around it, started to roar and let out multiple Chaos Beams. The beams hit the barriers and exploded, hurting Ivarage itself. Origin then said to Guy and Feldway, "I have surrounded Ivarage with barriers. It may not hold him for long, but it can hold him until I finish our conversation." Hearing this, Guy asked, "What do you want to talk about, huh?" Feldway also looked at Origin as Origin said, "You two must be fighting this beast for weeks, right?" Hearing this, Guy said, "Of course. This cockroach doesn't die at all, no matter how many times I cut it or destroy it." Feldway also nodded, agreeing to this. Realising something, Guy asked, "Origin, don't tell me you know something." Hearing this, Origin looked at Guy and said, "Well, after analysing Ivarage, I know why you were not able to harm it at all." Guy asked, "Do you know? Tell why we both were not able to harm him at all." Origin said, "Ivarage is not part of the Natural Order, so our Natural Laws and attack won't work on him at all because he was not created by Sir Veldanava at all. There are only two things that can work on him." Hearing these two things, both Guy and Feldway asked, "What are those two things that can work on him?" Origin calmly said, "StarDust and Turn Null." Hearing these two, Feldway calmed down instantly; after all, he knew what these energies were and who possessed them. Guy, not realizing, asked, "So what is StarDust and Turn Null?" Hearing this from Guy, Feldway says, "Well, StarDust is the energy of wholeness, and it is a miraculous substance with a myriad of special properties, possessing destructive power beyond that of spiritrons and a special nature that makes it impossible to control or counteract unless its nature is fully analyzed and understood, or one has the factor of Star King Dragon Veldanava." Hearing this, Guy also realized how powerful and special StarDust is. "Then what about Turn Null?" Hearing this, Origin says, "Let me tell you about this. Listen, Guy, Turn Null is the primordial ultimate destructive energy capable of even destroying information itself. It is the most powerful destructive energy in existence, and let me tell you, only Sir Veldanava had it when he created everything in existence." Upon hearing this, Guy said, "So that means the two necessary important energies that can be used for damaging Ivarage cannot be used by us, right? Is that what are you trying to say?" Hearing this, Origin says, "When did I say that I cannot use Turn Null? But I can use StarDust." Hearing this, Guy looked at Origin and asked, "Hey bastard, during our fight, how many things did you keep hidden, huh?" Hearing this, Origin quickly replied, "Now, now, Guy, let's not waste our time. The barrier surrounding Ivarage will break in a few more strikes, and Guy, I hope when I use StarDust, you can try to analyze it and learn how to use it. You too, Feldway. If you both learn it, then this battle can be a a victory for us."

Ivarage then broke the barrier completely as pure malicious energy radiated off him, scaring many Primordial Angels like Pico and Gracia. Origin, seeing this, said to Guy and Feldway, "Get ready, here it comes. You both try to learn StarDust while I fight it."

As Origin met Ivarage's advances through a powerful punch on his face, sending him crashing back on the barrier, his fist was imbued with StarDust. Guy and Feldway watched as for the first time since the battle began, the beast uttered a roar that sounded like it was hurt, which made everyone happy that finally the battle was turning to our favor.

Origin then brought out his own Genesis Grade Sword, Oblivion, as he started sending Silver Slashes imbued with StarDust at Ivarage, which damaged the beast as it let out screams of pain. Though it healed, it was not as fast as before. Seeing this, Guy said, "It seems to fight a cheater, we need to let a cheater fight." Though Guy said this, he was fully analyzing StarDust, and Feldway too was analyzing StarDust. Origin was fighting Ivarage blow for blow, but the truth was, Origin was alone bullying Ivarage in the fight.

The entire fight was under his control, as he quickly sped up towards Ivarage's body and ducked under it, and then he punched it in the stomach with both his hands, sending StarDust to destroy its body from inside. Though he could not manipulate StarDust this finely, his Manas En Sof can.

So, for that brief moment, he gave his body control to his Manas and used it to fight Ivarage, and it did a huge favor. Ivarage's whole body was destroyed due to StarDust destroying it from inside. Ivarage began to wither. It screamed again in pain as its body was destroyed. Though after a few moments it began to heal, it looked at Origin with fear for the first time in its entire life; it felt fear.

Origin, sensing this, quickly called out to Guy and Feldway, "Now is the time! We must damage it and defeat it now, understood?" Hearing this, Guy and Feldway also brought out their Genesis Grade Swords, World and Ark, and began fighting Ivarage. Ivarage let out one final, agonizing roar, attempting to channel its rapidly diminishing energy into one desperate burst of chaotic infection. It was too late.

Guy took the forward position, his eyes burning with fighting intent. His Ultimate Skill, Lucifer, Lord of Pride, had analyzed the StarDust, which made him even more powerful. He compressed his entire magicule reservoir into a single point, channeling a catastrophic vortex of annihilation, even adding all the StarDust energy he created into that attack.

"Go! World Collapse!"

A singularity of dense, scarlet energy, heavier and hotter than a collapsing star, slammed into the right side of Ivarage's massive body. The impact was not an explosion; it was an instantaneous vacuum. The portion of Ivarage's body hit by the World Collapse didn't just disintegrate; it was erased from existence, leaving a perfectly clean, hemispherical void in the Beast's side.

Feldway moved to the Beast's left flank, his Genesis Grade Sword, Ark, blazing with divine, purifying light. He used everything in that attack as he said:

"Wither and be judged! Holy Judgement Blast!"

A vast, luminous white-gold beam of concentrated sacred energy erupted from Ark, slicing through the weakened, chaotic core exposed by Guy's attack.

Origin, seeing this, completely sealed the destroyed Ivarage together so as not to let it heal back, as he sealed it with StarDust. The moment Ivarage would gather back, it would be destroyed again.

The battle was over. The silence was absolute.

The Primordial Angels holding the perimeter released their shields, their forms slumping with exhaustion, but their faces were alight with the profound relief of a crisis averted.

Guy, having poured every last drop of his magicules into the final strike, finally lost the strength to stand. He crashed onto the obsidian ground, a weak but triumphant grin on his face, his chest heaving with deep, ragged breaths. Feldway also fell down due to exhaustion.

Origin, seeing this, used his Ultimate Skill and healed everyone. Feeling their energy recovering and mental fatigue dissipating, both Guy and Feldway stood back up as Guy said, "Origin, you are even more of a cheater than I thought, but anyways, I learned how to use StarDust. I will use this in our next fight, so be ready, okay?" Hearing this, Origin nodded.

"It seems everything went well," said Veldanava, who had just appeared. Hearing this, all the Primordial Angels kneeled down, even Feldway, saying, "Lord Veldanava." Seeing this, Veldanava couldn't help but say, "Stand up, and you all know I don't like people kneeling to me." He then said, "It seems the fight with Ivarage took a lot on all of you." Hearing this, Guy says, "Well, of course, we all were working our asses off while you were laying around. As a Creator, shouldn't this be your job?" Hearing this sentence alone choked Veldanava as he said, "Well, I just wanted to see how you all would fare against such a threat, especially you both, Guy and Feldway." Hearing praise from his Lord, Feldway smiled as if his whole soul was sublimated as he said, "Lord Veldanava, for you, I can even give my life and die." Origin then says, "Well, everyone, now what should we do about this beast?" Hearing this, everyone looked at the sealed barrier where Ivarage was being destroyed and regenerated again and again, which was created by Origin. Seeing this, Veldanava said, "Origin, what a fascinating way to use StarDust.

I never thought StarDust could be used like this." He then says, "As for Ivarage," with a snap of his finger, Veldanava teleported everyone out of the dimension. Then he broke the barrier surrounding Ivarage and made the entire dimension a barrier which would use Ivarage's magicules to strengthen the dimension more and more and make it a strong seal.

As Veldanava explained it, Feldway looked at Veldanava with a shining light in his eyes, like a child looks at his idol. Veldanava then says, "Feldway, take care of Ivarage. I will leave this responsibility with you. Can you do it?" Hearing this, Feldway says in a serious expression, "No worries, Lord Veldanava. I will take care of this seal completely." Just then, Origin says, "Guy, shouldn't we all now leave?" Hearing this, Veldanava then opens a portal back to Heavenly Palace as everyone steps in it, leaving the area where a Great Battle took place.
