Time had passed, and the once supremely arrogant Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King now found himself unable to subdue even two mere quasi-gods. Frustrated, he returned in defeat.
"Hmm?" Upon returning to where Ye Wen had been, Di Tian furrowed his brows.
In Di Tian's eyes, Ye Wen was at most a Limit Douluo. By now, the other fierce beasts should have arrived on the scene. Though he didn't know what made this human special, the combined ambush of five super fierce beasts shouldn't allow a mere Limit Douluo to escape.
"Where have they all gone? Their presence still lingers here—why can't I see them?" Di Tian muttered under his breath.
Just then, a surge of soul power fluctuations began to emerge. Looking ahead, Di Tian saw a white sphere appear before him.
His expression grew solemn as he gazed at the sphere.
Though his cultivation was no longer what it once was, Di Tian's knowledge remained intact.
"A domain? But something feels off… This dense spatial fluctuation seems to have reached a godly level—even the Space God's spatial laws don't feel this complete."
Before Di Tian could ponder further, the white sphere vanished, revealing the group within.
"Are you back?" Bi Ji sighed in relief and quickly spotted the family's pillar of support, rushing over to him.
"Di Tian, be careful. That human's domain earlier reached a god-level."
Di Tian nodded slightly but wasn't alarmed. Though he had lost his divine powers, his understanding of the laws remained. If it came to a fight, his Ultimate Darkness wouldn't fear Ye Wen.
However, this wasn't the most pressing matter. Di Tian spoke gravely:
"Human, release that little one. Otherwise, no matter your intentions, our soul beast race will not let you go unpunished."
As he spoke, Di Tian released a trace of killing intent, attempting to intimidate Ye Wen, who was far too mysterious and powerful for comfort.
Ye Wen waved his hand dismissively. "Go back, little one. Don't wander off so carelessly next time—not every encounter will be with someone as kind as me."
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion, now freed from its restraints, didn't immediately return to Di Tian's side. Instead, it respectfully addressed Ye Wen:
"Esteemed divine being, please forgive Uncle Di Tian and the others for their rudeness. They were unaware of your identity and thus offended you unintentionally."
Ye Wen paused briefly, realizing his oversight. During the attribute connection, memories were exchanged. Since Huo Yuer knew his identity, it was unsurprising that the Three-Eyed Golden Lion did too.
It was his own fault—he had come to establish cooperation with the highest rulers of the soul beast race but had been careless.
However, Di Tian and the others were stunned.
"A god?"
Did they mean that kind of god?
The moment they snapped out of their shock, the expressions of the fierce beasts turned grim. A terrifying surge of soul power erupted as they glared ferociously at Ye Wen.
Di Tian immediately grabbed the now-safe Three-Eyed Golden Lion and tossed it to the rear to ensure its safety. Then, without hesitation, he unleashed the Dragon God Claw, attempting to eliminate Ye Wen.
In Di Tian's view, any god in this era was nothing more than a lapdog of the God Realm. After all, even the former king of soul beasts had become a servant of the gods.
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion was flung backward, rolling several times on the ground. Though dazed momentarily, its tough hide allowed it to recover quickly. However, seeing its most revered Uncle Di Tian dare to attack a divine being, its expression changed drastically, and it cried out:
"Stop, Uncle Di Tian! This divine being means us no harm!"
But it was already too late.
With Di Tian leading the charge, the other fierce beasts attacked simultaneously. Their overwhelming assault seemed capable of destroying the world itself.
Huo Yuer, who had just broken through to Soul Sage due to the attribute connection, trembled in fear at the sight. But upon glancing at Ye Wen's calm figure, she immediately calmed down.
A strange scene unfolded once again. Those devastating attacks, capable of leveling fortresses, froze meters away from Ye Wen. Though they appeared to keep advancing, they gradually dissipated into nothingness.
"Calm down, everyone. If I truly meant you harm, I would have killed all of you by now," Ye Wen said softly.
The scene fell silent once more. Di Tian's expression darkened as he continued to unleash the Dragon God Claw, attempting to crush Ye Wen.
But—
"Divine being!" Di Tian gritted his teeth.
Though Di Tian couldn't determine Ye Wen's exact rank, there was no doubt that he had reached the level of a god. Otherwise, the Dragon God Claw would never pose such an insurmountable challenge to a quasi-god.
Ye Wen noticed Di Tian's deep resentment. After all, Di Tian had once been a God King. Now, unable to subdue even Ye Wen, who appeared to be a minor god, he felt humiliated. Dragons were naturally proud creatures.
The same was true in the original timeline. If Ye Wen hadn't married the Silver Dragon King, Di Tian might have never truly integrated into the new Douluo Star until his death.
Ye Wen's lips moved slightly, as if whispering something. Though the others couldn't hear, Di Tian's expression changed drastically. He hastily retracted his attack, staring at Ye Wen with suspicion and uncertainty.
Di Tian's sharp dragon claws opened and closed repeatedly before finally clenching into a fist, filled with reluctant frustration.
"I hope you keep your word, human. Otherwise, I'll drag you to hell even if it costs me my life!" Di Tian growled menacingly.
Seeing that Di Tian had finally stopped attacking, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion let out a sigh of relief. Though it possessed strength comparable to a Level 95 Super Douluo, it was utterly powerless in this situation, reduced to helplessly glaring.
However, something strange soon caught the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's attention.
Its Uncle Di Tian actually led a human into the forbidden zone of the Star Dou Forest—the Lake of Life.
Oh well, the human was a god—so it was fine.
Along the way, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion observed Ye Wen carefully. Though Ye Wen was a god, he looked no different from an ordinary human. The only thing that stirred complex emotions in the Three-Eyed Golden Lion was the memories inherited from Huo Yuer.
"How wonderful…" the Three-Eyed Golden Lion thought enviously.
In no time, Ye Wen's group reached the core of the Star Dou Forest—the Lake of Life below.
This was the first time the Three-Eyed Golden Lion had ever been here. The dense, almost tangible life force made every breath feel incredibly refreshing.
However, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion found it strange. Hadn't it always been forbidden from coming here? Di Tian had once said that only the fiercest beasts could enter. There was no place here for the weak—if you wanted to step foot here, you had to grow stronger.
Before the Three-Eyed Golden Lion could think further, as they ventured deeper, it felt its bloodline begin to stir. A mysterious pull seemed to emanate from somewhere nearby.
"What is this?"
