But Rebecca didn't stop, before Damien could even fully raise his hand to defend himself, Rebecca moved. In one swift, fluid motion, she knelt in front of him and with terrifying precision, jabbed the needle directly under his fingernail.
"AAAGGHHHHH!" Damien's scream pierced the room like a siren.
He thrashed violently, the agony unbearable. His body jerked, his legs kicked, but the pain paralyzed him all at once. Tears welled in his eyes almost instantly, uninvited and unstoppable.
"Y-YES!" he screamed, the panic and pain taking over everything. "YES—I KNOW JERRY! I KNOW HIM!"
Rebecca remained still, her hand now holding the second needle inches from his other hand.
"I was the one—" Damien cried out, gasping for air. "I was the one who sent people after him! I just wanted to teach him a lesson, okay?! That was all! Nothing more!"
