Lily Turner's premonition was right, Amelia Linton did indeed follow her and Easton Holmes out from inside.
Amelia Linton had been observing the actions of the two throughout and upon seeing them emerge, she got up and followed without hesitation.
Easton Holmes immediately sensed something was amiss with Lily Turner. He turned his head and followed her gaze to see his mother, Amelia Linton's silhouette reflected in his view.
"Do you need something?"
His tone was icy, his demeanor was icy, his gaze was icy, and his presence was even icier.
"Speak properly."
Lily Turner sensed Easton Holmes's coldness. She quietly tugged at his clothes, softly reminding him to speak properly, after all, she was his mother.
She didn't know what unpleasant incident could have occurred between him and his mother that caused them to be so at odds.
Initially, she thought it was because of her, but later she realized it wasn't solely due to herself; there were other issues between them.
