"What's going on?"
Lily Turner didn't call Freya Yeager; instead, she sent a text message. She really didn't want to answer Freya's call. It wasn't that she held a grudge, but what Freya did that day really made her angry and extremely disappointed.
After the message was sent, Freya immediately responded, but instead of replying via text, she directly called.
If she wanted to take the call, Lily wouldn't have bothered to send a text earlier. Without much thought, she hung up on Freya's call.
But as soon as she hung up, the phone started ringing again. She glanced at it; it was still Freya calling.
"I'm going out to take a call."
Lily got up and left the dining room. She was worried that if she didn't answer, Freya would keep calling back, so she went out to see what urgent matter made Freya so anxious.
Watching the silhouette walking out the door, Easton Holmes was lost in thought for a long time until he couldn't hear any noise, and only then did he slowly retract his gaze.
