Alice Conley blushed deeply and awkwardly said, "Uh, did I say something wrong?"
"No, Alice, you're really a wonderful woman." Daxton smiled earnestly, "I'm really happy to know you and become friends with you. I think if Jacob had the chance to meet you, he would definitely appreciate you too."
"Your friend's name is Jacob?" Alice asked.
"Yes, Jacob Fletcher." Daxton said, and when he mentioned the person he loved, his expression became even more tender, "I met him at a ski resort. It was my first time skiing and I was probably acting like a total fool. After falling several times, he walked up to me and offered to teach me how to ski, saying he'd never seen someone so clumsy before."
Alice listened to Daxton's story. Perhaps these words had been buried deep inside him for too long without anyone to share them with, and now, he seemed to have opened up, saying a lot.
