Alice Conley smiled and teased, "Thanks, maybe I'll really need you as a driver in the future."
After Daxton drove away, Alice turned around and suddenly froze. She saw Dorian Howards standing not far away, and had no idea how long he'd been watching her.
Alice instantly felt a wave of awkwardness. She initially wanted to pretend she hadn't seen him and just head into the neighborhood, but on second thought, this situation didn't seem like a coincidence.
So she took a deep breath and stepped forward, "Alright, you're here. Is there something you need to talk to me about?"
Dorian pursed his thin lips without saying a word, but his attractive eyes continued to glare at her.
Alice felt inexplicably guilty under his glare, as if she'd done something unforgivable. She thought hard and then said, "Could it be that the 100,000 dollars I gave you last time wasn't enough? Not enough to compensate for all the losses you suffered? How much more do you need? Why don't you give me a number?"
