Beatrice Hargrave was taken straight home by Nicholas Croft. The party wasn't over yet, but she, who was supposed to be the star, left and didn't return.
After the party ended, Henry Hargrave and his wife returned home with their daughter. They saw Beatrice sitting comfortably on the sofa watching TV, which made Josephine Hawthorne furious. After entering the hall, she sneered contemptuously, "Hmph, a girl without upbringing won't ever be presentable."
Beatrice turned her head and looked over, "Are you talking about me?"
"Who else but you?"
Josephine shouted unpleasantly, but Henry stopped her, "Alright, stop arguing. It was an accident, Beatrice didn't do it intentionally."
"Beatrice, where did Nicholas take you?" Hannah Hargrave walked over quickly and stood in front of Beatrice, questioning her sternly. She was still in that silver fishtail dress, perfectly matched with her beige clutch.
