"But..?" Lyra tensed up.
"His Psionic reading is off the chart." Karl showing the display to the Lyra.
"Its reading is the same as that of a Stage 8 while he is still a Initiator." Karl stated looking at the Kaios.
Kaios hearing it asked, " Then what is the problem then doctor?" In confusion.
" To understand that you have to know why and how Technological Path used in the first place." Karl replied, "You see we don't have any inherent qualities or powers from the birth like some races who have inherent ability use type 1 energies like Ether, Aura, spiritual energy etc. The highest-energy system we have used is a semi Type-1 stable micro nuclear fission reactor with an efficiency of over 95 percent. These are not enough to compete with the races using Type 1 energies. A Type 1 energy user with 30 percent efficiency is enough to take big city like this head on. Then after many research and experiment we found another Type 1 energy 'Psion' that we can use with bit modifications. It is a type of quantum energy that is emitted when some specific metals or objects resonate with each other like a advanced nuclear fission. But unlike nuclear fission there is no wastage or extra materials are needed after the initial resonance. As we believed the Resonance is just a link or another phenomenon to get the Psion from all the research we conducted. Humans then experimented with it, to make it sustainable for us but we find another property of its. It is highly volatile so it tends to mutate and adapt, and the mutated thing will get the ability of its resonance type or it can adapt to the certain things. Which is the second step of awakening after NMT, that is to use volatile Psion in your body with the external resonance to get the ability you want." Karl paused and took a sip of water, then continued, "Here is the problem of your comes, due to you having unnatural amount of Psion in your body, it creates a self resonance without requiring any external resonance."
Kairos processed the large information and asked, " Then how will it affects me?"
Karl nodded and answered, "The effect will be sudden energy outburst, soar body etc. But the main problem with it, is you will be.....crippled."
"In a way..." Finished the sentence with a long sigh.
Lyra's frowned, " How so?" She asked in confused and worried tone.
"You see to get the ability, you have to mutate with the external resonance of your choice or suggested. But this is not case with Kaios due his large neutral Psionic resonance, it is slowly mutating him also adapting to the nature itself which will be a problem in getting the ability through External Resonance." Karl replied calmly.
"Is there anything else to solve it?" Lyra asked in a hope.
"Hmm.. that will difficult to tell as Kaios's situation is unique. There are many cases of people having larger Psion due to neutral resonance but not this much. But.. I have a theory that may work."
Kaios's eyes lit up, "What is the method Doctor?" He asked to Karl.
"As you have guessed from information, the mutation happens when external resonance is higher than the neutral resonance in your body. The ER will affect the body while NR resist it slowly inducing the mutation, which is safe for your body rather than the sudden mutation. So in theory if you are exposed to a larger ER than your NR you may mutate." Karl explained it to Kaios.
Lyra frowned, " Why do I sense a 'but', Karl?"
Karl looked up and said, "Yeah...but with the amount of Psion he has, the ER needs to be at least at the level of Peak or Mid Tier 7 to induce the mutation."
A large exhale could be heard at the same time. Karl turn his head to the Lyra's side.
Lyra smiled weakly, "So it is possible for Kai to gain abilities."
Karl nodded, "Well... if you are being optimistic—Yes and in case he did get the ER, you would create a monster Lyra. With his NR Psion and Stage 8 compatibility Kaios will become a force to reckon with." He chuckled, shaking his head.
Lyra let out a little laugh and said, "That's alright. As long he is my Kai, I can live with that."
She then turns to the Kaios and said, "Kai, changed into your original outfit. We will be departed shortly."
Kaios nodded and went to the changing room to get his original attire.
Karl also streched his arms, " Well, it's time for me to leave also." Said to Lyra, "When you solve this give me a call, I will also like to see the result."
Lyra nodded and replied, "Thank you for your time, Karl."
"You are welcome Ah.... and give Dante my greetings." Karl left the room after telling this.
As Karl leaves and the door closed with a click, Kaios also emerged from the changing room with his original outfit.
After Karl came out of the changing room both him and Lyra leaves the NMT Centre to their hovercar.
Sun is now above of their head, shining brightly and warming everyone. It is now afternoon time. The time they had reached Centre is 8:30 a.m, now the clock is approaching 1 pm.They had nearly spent four hour in the Operation Theatre.
They reached the hover car and both of them take their respective seats. With a soft hum the vehicle lifted off the ground and started gliding smoothly above the road.
The atmosphere on the hover car is tense, noticing this Lyra spoke, "Don't worry Kai, I'll talk with Dante. We will definitely find a way to solve this problem."
"It's okay mom, i believe in you and dad." Kaios said showing a smile.
But inside, his brain was rampant, thinking about all information he had come across.
Information from the Garden Of End to the information regarding his Awakening.
Kaios has an inkling of idea why this problem his arisen and how can he solve it.
He needed to return to the Garden Of End to prove his theory right.
But right now he wanted a much needed rest, he had gone through so much today that he had no mental energy to think about the problem.
Thinking about this, Kaios dozed off a little in his seat. Lyra noticed him and gently caressed his hair.
After some time they reached at their house or Villa would be a right choice word.
As the hover car drew closer, the view of Villa also become clearer.
It is a grand—yet elegantly designed structure, equipped with the futuristics technology. It is a masterpiece that blended both ancient architecture with advanced technology. It stood tall in the serene place symbolising authority and luxury.
The car swiftly passed through the grand gates, moving on the road toward the Villa.
The black hover car stopped in front of the entrance of the Villa. Both Lyra and Kaios, who has now woken up, exited the car and entered the Villa.
As both of them are walking, Lyra said gently " Go freshen up, and come for the lunch."
Kaios nodded, go to his room for the freshen up.
Later he ate his lunch with his mom and go to his room to take his long awaited sleep.
Like this his life's most hectic day till this date come to an end.
