Chapter 79 - Helicopter Crash

"Roger that," replied the Bravo Team members.

While they were preparing, Svetlana arrived carrying her new gear and weapons. Enrico could only shake his head—if it weren't for Chief Brian's approval, he actually wouldn't have wanted to involve an outsider. But since Svetlana was also his instructor and he knew her skills very well, especially after the last mission, he finally agreed.

Not long after, Allen was ready as well, bringing along the equipment he needed. As always, the Tactical Rescue members were speechless at what Allen had brought.

"Allen, are you planning to go to war?" Enrico and the others asked.

"What? You guys know how dangerous those mountains are, so there's no problem if I bring an RPG," Allen replied while stroking the RPG in his hands as if it were a woman.

The other team members who heard that were reminded of the monster dogs and the moving plants, and they too went back to gather more explosives, bombs, and extra ammunition. Enrico just smiled at Allen's antics, but he knew there was truth in what he said. He himself ended up returning to his quarters to do the same, just like the others.

Rebecca also returned to bring more medical supplies than before.

Once everyone was fully prepared, they finally departed for the Arklay Mountains aboard a helicopter.

Meanwhile, Wesker, who had been watching their departure from the Umbrella building, began preparing to head to the central executive facility. His plan was to blow the facility building and destroy all evidence.

.....

Inside the helicopter, he only closed his eyes. Svetlana, who saw Allen's attitude change into something serious and calm, different from how he usually was, couldn't help but admire him. Svetlana quietly held Allen's hand and leaned on his comfortable shoulder. She knew that soon they would face something dangerous and wanted to use that small chance to get closer to Allen.

After 1 hour in the air, somehow their helicopter suddenly experienced trouble and the blades malfunctioned. That made the helicopter they were riding become unstable.

"Hold on," Enrico gave a short command to his team.

Rebecca, who was beside Allen, held tightly onto his body. The helicopter then spun out of control and began to fall from a height. The pilot, with his experience, tried his best to control the helicopter so it could land stably, but unfortunately, the tail rotor struck a tree and broke, causing them to crash hard into the ground.

Boom The sound of the impact was loud enough to make the birds in the forest scatter. Several people were thrown out of the helicopter when it hit the ground—Allen and Svetlana were among those thrown out—but fortunately, they were wearing protective suits made of Vibranium, so the impact they suffered was not severe.

Meanwhile, Allen had trouble opening his eyes because they were blocked by Svetlana's huge chest pressing against his face.

"So soft," Allen said while trying to touch Svetlana's butt.

"Okay, how long are you going to keep touching my body like that, Allen," Svetlana said as she woke up.

On Allen's body, their position made Allen a little thirsty because Svetlana was on top, sitting on him.

"Hey, let me enjoy it a little longer," Allen protested.

Meanwhile, Rebecca quickly rushed out to check the condition of the others, including Allen and Svetlana who had been thrown out of the helicopter.

"Love, are you okay?" Rebecca asked, a little worried.

"I'm fine, how about you and the others?" Allen replied while checking Rebecca's condition.

"I'm fine, the others as well, they only got minor injuries," Rebecca answered, then began to treat some of the members who had small wounds, but fortunately nothing serious. Allen also helped Rebecca to tend to his team's injuries.

"Why did this happen?" Enricho snapped, irritated—now their vehicle was badly damaged.

"I don't know, Captain. I checked the helicopter earlier; everything seemed fine. But somehow the rotor suddenly seized," replied the pilot, Edward Dewey.

"Could someone have sabotaged us? That might explain it—the propeller just locking up like that." Rebecca sounded puzzled as well.

"Damn it. If I knew which bastard did this, I'd kill him myself. This is outrageous—this endangered all of our lives," Forest Speyer growled.

"Okay, we can hunt down the perpetrator after we get out of here. Captain, what's your decision—do we continue the mission or head back? I don't feel safe staying here much longer," Keynneth said, checking his weapon as he readied it.

"We'll try to press on," Enricho said after assessing his team and determining they were still able to continue the mission.

"All right. Make sure your radios are working, then move out. Don't spread too far apart. First, we need to find the train's route," he ordered.

"Roger," everyone answered in unison.

"Watch out," Allen said, then he fired.

Bang! A shot from Allen's pistol struck a mutant dog in the head, and the creature collapsed not far off at about three o'clock.

"Nice shot, Allen," Enrico said.

"Thanks, Captain," Allen replied.

Not long after, several more zombie dogs began attacking them from multiple directions.

"Why are there so many of them? Didn't we clear the source of the problem on the last mission?" Forest Speyer said as he fired at the dogs.

"Careful—aim for the head," Enrico warned while shooting a zombie dog that was about to bite him.

Svetlana and Allen calmly picked off the remaining dogs that were closing in on the other team members. Rebecca stayed close behind Allen, holding her pistol tight—she still wasn't fully recovered and felt weak in the legs after her exercise session with Allen.

Bang!....

Bang!....

Bang!....

Gunfire echoed as the Bravo Team kept fighting hard, even though their visibility was poor due to the lack of light. Still, they didn't give up and continued shooting, taking down many of the zombie dogs that attacked them.

But suddenly.

"Aghh!!" A scream was heard from one of the Bravo team members who was bitten by one of the zombie dogs and dragged away from the team. But Allen quickly shot the dog's head with his rifle. Bang!.

"Keynneth are you okay?" said Allen as he approached and checked if he was injured. Luckily, the dog's bite didn't really hurt him and only bit the vest.

"I'm fine, thanks for your help Allen," he said.

"You're welcome, can you move?"

"Yeah." Keynneth then stood up and went back to shooting the remaining zombies.

"Let's keep moving, we need to find shelter first," said Enrico.

They all then ran to find a safe place and found an old house in the forest, went inside, and closed the door. After securing the whole area in the house, the Bravo team gathered to reorganize their plan.

"Keynneth are you hurt?" asked Enrico again, a little worried about his team's safety. He felt maybe it was better to just abort this mission and return, but to go back they would also have to face the same danger in this forest.

"I'm fine Captain," said Keynneth.

"That's a relief then," said Enrico.

"Okay, change of plan, let's clear out the monsters outside first, after that we can split the team to investigate."

"Roger."

Edward then took his sniper and went up to the roof with the help of other members to make a hole in the roof to give a new access point. Soon after, gunfire was heard again in the forest. After 15 minutes, the area finally became safe and Enrico divided his team members.

"Alright, let's split into teams of three. Keynneth, Edward, and Richard—you'll be team one. Allen, Rebecca, and Svetlana—you'll be team two. The rest will follow me as team three," said Enrico as he took the lead to head out of the house first.

"We'll start our investigation now. Don't forget to make sure your radios are working, and if you run into trouble, report it immediately so the others can come to help."

Everyone nodded in understanding. Allen then moved forward, leading with two beautiful women at his side.

"Why are you so serious, Allen?" Svetlana asked, clearly impatient to tease him.

"Hmm? What's wrong with that?" Allen replied, a little puzzled.

"I just think you're more attractive when you're like this," Svetlana said with a smirk.

"Oh? So you'd rather have me tease you in a place like this? Tsk, you really are a naughty woman. Well, I don't mind, as long as no weird monsters come to interrupt us," Allen shot back playfully.

"Hmph, go to hell," Svetlana said, folding her arms.

Rebecca, seeing how close the two of them were, just smiled and shook her head. Well, at the very least, their banter lightened the atmosphere a bit, but it didn't lower their guard. And when a zombie dog came rushing toward them, they quickly gunned it down without hesitation.

Not long after, the three of them stumbled upon a crashed vehicle near the main road in the Arklay Mountains. Allen approached, examining the wreck, and noticed a file lying on the ground nearby. Picking it up, he flipped through its contents—it showed that the vehicle had been transporting a prisoner of war, complete with a detailed criminal record.

"Hey, looks like this was a prisoner transport," Allen said, holding the file up for the others to see.

The others gathered around, curious. As Allen scanned the scene further, he noticed several leeches crawling out of the vehicle, making their way toward the nearby train tracks.

'Could this be Marcus's handiwork? And it looks like the prisoner they were moving was someone named Billy… one of the protagonists from RE:0.'

When Rebecca and Svetlana read through the file, they exchanged uneasy glances.

"Darling, I don't see the prisoner's body here. Could it be that he killed the guards escorting him and escaped? And according to this file, the prisoner—Billy—was a soldier convicted for killing unarmed civilians. How cruel…" Rebecca muttered with a slight frown as she finished reading.

"Yeah… that does sound pretty suspicious," Allen replied.

"Ohhh? So are you planning to get involved in this?" Svetlana asked, smirking as she turned to him.

Rebecca, however, simply fixed her gaze on Allen as if waiting for his answer. She clearly seemed eager to pursue this lead, perhaps even to track down the escaped prisoner and bring him back into custody.

"Hmm… for now, we should report this to the Captain and wait for his orders," Allen said calmly. Truth be told, he didn't really mind getting drawn into it if that's where things were headed.

Allen then spoke into the radio.

"Captain, this is Allen. We're about two miles from the helicopter crash site, northeast near the main road. We've found a prisoner transport vehicle that seems to have crashed. We discovered two dead guards, but the prisoner's body is nowhere to be found. It's likely he escaped after killing the escorts."

"Understood. I'll head to your location immediately," Enrico replied before ordering the rest of the team to regroup.

"Keynneth, rally at team three's position," Enrico instructed through the radio. He didn't want his squad members spread too far apart, knowing it could be dangerous if anyone ran into trouble or needed backup.

"Roger, Captain. We'll move to your location—we also found something," Keynneth responded.

After the Bravo Team regrouped at the site of the crashed vehicle, Enrico crouched down to inspect the guards' corpses.

"Alright, we have a new mission. We need to track down this prisoner named Billy. We can't allow a criminal like him to roam free—he's killed too many innocent people," Enrico said after skimming through the criminal record in the file.

"And if the situation doesn't allow for capture, you are authorized to shoot and neutralize him on sight. Understood?"

"Understood, Captain," everyone replied in unison.

"Captain, we also found a strange mansion not far from here. From the outside, the front grounds are crawling with monsters," Keynneth reported.

"Did you check inside the mansion?" Enrico asked with a slight frown.

"No, sir. Just as we were about to investigate further, we got your call to regroup."

"Alright then. Allen, your team will search for Billy. Keynneth, you'll head back and investigate that mansion. I'll go check the train situation myself," Enrico ordered.

With that, the group split once again to carry out their assigned missions.

Allen's journey with his two beautiful companions into the danger zone went surprisingly smoothly—especially since both women had been boosted by his serum. Along the way, they encountered countless zombie dogs and swarms of leeches, but none of it proved much trouble for them to handle.
