Evening.
Naruto and Hinata had just returned home. They sat down with Minato and Kushina, excited to share the news about the construction of their new house.
"Really? Naruto, is it far from mom's place?" Kushina asked curiously.
Naruto smiled, his bright blue eyes full of energy. "It's not far at all, Mom. It's just over there in the old district — really close!"
Hearing the specific location, Kushina sighed in relief. "That's good. As long as it's not too far, I won't worry."
Minato chuckled softly. "Let's eat first. After dinner, we'll go take a look."
Kushina frowned slightly. "At that time, it'll already be dark. What could we even see at night? There's hardly any visibility."
Minato laughed again, calm as ever. "Then let's go tomorrow."
Hinata nodded in agreement. "Yes, Mom, we can go tomorrow morning. Naruto and I checked it out already, but there are still a lot of things I'd like your help with. After that, we can go shopping together."
Kushina thought for a moment, then nodded. "That makes sense. I'm sure there's plenty left to buy for the new house."
After the discussion, everyone started eating. Hinata, ever thoughtful, insisted on helping Kushina clean up after dinner, telling her to rest while she did the dishes. Minato and Kushina didn't go out afterward, choosing instead to spend the night chatting about the upcoming move.
The next morning.
The family arrived early in front of Naruto and Hinata's newly built house. The morning sunlight gleamed on the freshly constructed wooden exterior.
"Wow, Naruto," Kushina gasped, eyes widening. "This is your house?"
Naruto nodded proudly. "Yeah. There are still a few spots I'm not satisfied with — mostly cosmetic. The outer walls still need painting, but I'll hire someone for that soon."
Hinata smiled warmly and took Kushina's hand. "Come on, Mom, let's go inside and take a look!"
Yamato had built the entire structure according to the model Naruto had chosen, so the interior layout was nearly identical to what Naruto had imagined. The rooms were perfectly shaped, the floors a smooth light wood — though still unpainted and undecorated.
Minato looked around and smiled. "It's not completely finished yet. Some places still need waterproofing."
He chuckled, remembering. "When your mother and I got married, our house was also brand new. I spent weeks decorating it myself before it finally felt like home."
Naruto nodded, walking slowly through the empty space. The smell of new wood filled the air. As he looked around, his heart swelled with emotion.
It really did feel like another world.
For just a moment, Naruto felt as if he'd returned to his old home — the one from his previous life. He walked upstairs, taking in every corner. Standing there, he could almost see Boruto and Himawari running through the hallway, laughing.
His eyes grew wet.
Minato's footsteps echoed behind him as he came up the stairs. Seeing his son standing silently in the corner, eyes glistening, Minato placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Naruto," he said softly, "are you remembering… what happened before?"
Naruto nodded silently.
Minato smiled, the corners of his mouth lifting in that calm, fatherly way. He patted Naruto's shoulder. "You've grown. Don't worry — everything you've lost will find its way back."
Naruto looked at him, deeply moved. "Thank you, Dad."
Minato's arm stayed around Naruto's shoulder as he said warmly, "Come on. Your mother said there's a long shopping list waiting."
Downstairs, Kushina was already deep in planning mode. She had decided the first priority was to contact the construction team and finish the final touches on the house.
"The imperfections should be fixed as soon as possible," she said. "We'll handle the rest — furniture, supplies, decorations — afterward."
Since the structure was built entirely with Wood Release by Yamato, the workload for finishing was fairly light. The main focus now was painting, plumbing, and wiring.
Naruto decided to let his real estate agent coordinate the finishing touches. The agent specialized in Konoha's residential properties and knew many good decorators.
After confirming the plan, Naruto passed the details to the agent to finalize the interior work.
Minato accompanied Kushina and Hinata to the furniture shops and home goods stores around the village to pick out everything they'd need for the new home. They placed orders for the essentials, intending to move in after the renovation was done.
Two days passed quickly.
Naruto's schedule was packed between managing the decoration work and helping Jiraiya — who had stopped by to discuss his upcoming wedding with Tsunade.
When Jiraiya saw Naruto's new house, he let out an impressed whistle. "Not bad, Naruto. This place is gorgeous. When did it go up?"
Naruto laughed as he reviewed Jiraiya's wedding checklist. "Just two days ago. Captain Yamato built it for me using Wood Release. It only took a few seconds."
Jiraiya's jaw dropped. "Wood Release, huh? Incredible."
Naruto handed him the list. "Pervy Sage, this should be solid. But I suggest asking Kakashi-sensei for help too — he handled all the arrangements for my wedding last time. You can use the same layout and just adjust it."
Jiraiya grinned, rubbing his chin. "Makes sense. Your wedding was on an international scale. If I can manage even half that smoothly, I'll be satisfied."
He reached into his bag and pulled out a leather pouch. "Here — this is for you."
Naruto blinked. "What's this?"
"Dividends," Jiraiya said with a sly grin. "What else would it be?"
Naruto's eyes widened. "Already? It's only been a few days!"
Jiraiya chuckled. "Didn't I tell you last time? The investment part hadn't been settled yet, so I couldn't give you your full share then. That one was just from your royalties."
Naruto nodded as he remembered. He accepted the pouch with gratitude.
Jiraiya clapped him on the shoulder. "Once you've moved in, give me a call. Tsunade and I will come by for the housewarming."
Naruto grinned. "You got it, Pervy Sage."
After saying goodbye to Minato and Kushina, Jiraiya departed with a wave.
By noon on the third day, the entire house was officially complete.
The water pipes, wiring, furniture, and appliances — everything was in perfect order.
Naruto and Hinata moved in all their belongings, even bringing the bedsheets and quilt covers from their old apartment. The new house smelled faintly of fresh wood and paint, but it already felt like home.
Hinata stood in the middle of the living room, her pale lavender eyes shining with emotion. "Naruto," she said softly, "why do I feel like this house seems… familiar? As if I've seen it somewhere before — maybe in a dream?"
Naruto smiled gently, looking at her with warmth. "Of course it feels familiar. I rebuilt it exactly the same — one to one."
Hinata's eyes widened, realizing the truth. The "house from her dreams" was the home they had shared in his previous life — a home of laughter, love, and bittersweet memories.
Minato and Kushina stood behind them, hand in hand. Watching Naruto and Hinata's happiness brought a wave of nostalgia and pride.
They had been like this once too — young, full of dreams, standing in a new home that symbolized a new life.
"Let's go in," Naruto said at last, taking Hinata's hand. He turned to his parents and smiled. "Come on, Dad, Mom — you too."
The four of them stepped through the doorway together.
The new home — their true home — was complete.
That night, Naruto decided to invite his friends over for a housewarming celebration.
