The faint knock echoed through the dorm room, nearly lost beneath the steady rumble of thunder that rolled through the sky outside.
Rain lashed against the windows in heavy sheets, casting wavering shadows across the small, dimly lit room.
On the floor near the table, Dhayun slowly woke up.
Her eyelashes fluttered, and her brows creased slightly as she awoke from a restless nap.
She blinked groggily, her cheek sticking slightly to the hardwood floor where she'd fallen asleep.
She sat up slowly, brushing a lock of hair from her eyes.
"Huh…?" she murmured and her voice was hoarse with sleep.
"Did I fall asleep… here…?"
Her fingers brushed against her phone, still lying beside her where she had held it after the call.
A soft knock echoed again.

She stiffened slightly and her eyes narrowed.
In the silence of the dorm, broken only by the rain's whisper and occasional thunder, the sound was unsettling.
