It was in the middle of the summer, and a little boy named Elendil was running the forest named "The Virethorn Wilds" known for the very dangerous creatures that lives in the dark forest, it was said to the elderly man that Elendil lived in, that the forest was very dangerous and was owned by the most terrifying creatures that ever lived. But Elendil didn't listen to what the old man said and decided to go explore the forest by himself in the afternoon without his parents knowing
Elendil was running around with his toy airplane that is made of wood and strings, he adored the toy that his father gave him when it was his 7th birthday. While he was running at the forest, he stumble upon into a ruins, where he can see a young boy with long hair with long claws and closed eyes, the young boy was sitting at floor with his back leaning against the stone. Elendil was confused and stopped running, he looks around if someone was following him or if the young boy was with someone else. Elendil took a deap breath and walk towards the young boy that looks like his age.
Elendil: "Uhm.. Uh.." His breath was shaky that it was a sign that he was shy or nervous. "My name is Elendil! I am 9 years old, what's your name?" He smiled and stares at the young boy who was holding something... Strange, that's the only thing he can describe.
He waited for a responsed, he just stands there staring at the boy. He was confused and thought to himself if the boy was deaf or if he was just ignoring him, he sighs and tries to speak up but the boy stopped him from speaking.
???: "It's none of your business, you shouldn't be here" he glances up at Elendil with a cold expression.
Elendil gasps and was confused even more. Suddenly, he hears her mother calling him. Elendil glances at his mom running towards him as if she was worried.
Mother: "Elendil! Where have you been? I've been looking for you for hours!?" She said with a worried tone.
Elendil: "Uhm.. I was playing with my airplane but i.. I saw a boy sitting behind a rock, but he told me leave and-" paused.. "Uhm..He was right here-" he paused again, he cannot see the young boy. He looks around, did he disappear?
His mother sighs and holds his shoulder making him stare at her. Her expression turned into disbelief.
Mother: "I don't care, Elendil. All I want you is to never come back here again, understood? .Let's go before it gets dark-"
After she finished her sentence, a creature can be heard screaming from the distance. She gasps and grabs his hand and starts running, they hid behind a big rock.
Mother: "Okay Elendil, I want you to listen to me, okay? I want you to stay here and be quiet. I'll distract the monster, while I do that, you run away and go to village as fast as you can. Tell your dad to closed all the windows and doors and stay quiet"
Elendil hums softly and nods, he glances at his mom as she stands up and starts running towards where the sound came, he peeks through the rock and stare as her mom screaming at monster as she was making it go away. But, the creature appeared in front of her and starts attacking her, her mother used her powers to defend herself and Elendil.
He stares at her mother fighting the monster with fear, he froze in his spot and grips the rock. He can see her mother was getting exhausted because she's too old and cannot use her powers that much. One she stopped to take a deep breath, the creature then attacks her and starts eating her alive. Elendil eyes widen and stares at her mom being eaten, he pants heavily and hides behind the rock. He cries softly and doesn't know what to do.
Suddenly, he sees foot steps leading to the village. He sniff and stands up, he started running towards the village. After he got there he sees the people gathering around as if the leader has something to say, he walks towards them but someone grabbed his hands and pulls him away. He gasps and glances up to see his father, he can see his fathers eyes with fear and protective. His father peeks through the villagers.
Father: "Shh" he covers Elendils mouth to prevent him from speaking.
Elendil looks down as if he was tired and wanted to take a rest from what's happening, he wanted to tell his father what happened earlier but he can't make a noise. They can hear what the leader was talking about them ruining the village and making a mess. He can hear the leader of the village saying that they have to kill them to prevent from ruining the village and causing trouble.
Suddenly, Elendil dropped his toy on the ground. The leader sees the toy I'm the middle and narrow his eyes, his father gasps and picks it up.
Leader: "You. Catch them!!" He screams and points at the two.
His father gasps and grabs Elendils arm and starts running, Elendil was scared and couldn't believe what's happening right now. They can see the villagers running and throwing spears at them. His father sighs and leads elendil to the beach and sees someone in a boat, he yells at the person as if he was trying to catch his attention and sends help. The person turns around and paused, his father place Elendil at the boat.
Father: "Okay, Elendil. Listen to me, stay here okay?" He hands him his toy back and kisses his forehead.
Elendil was scared and was shaking in fear, he can see the villagers getting close.
Elendil: "I'm scared" he mutters and glances at his toy.
Father: "I know, I am too. But I want you to be brave for me okay?" He stares at the person in the boat with him.
Elendil: "Stay with me, I'm scared.. " hick
His Father sighs and glances at his shoulder to see the villagers were finally in the beach, his eyes widen and stares at Elendil. He groans and decided what's the best for him, he knocks him over and sees Elendil passed out in the boat. His father sighs and helps the person move the boat in the ocean. The boat starts moving towards the ocean, Elendil can still see but his vision was blurry. He stares at his father starts fighting the villagers, a tear falls into his face and closes his eyes. He can hear his father screaming in pain and was trying his best to make the Villagers wouldn't able to reach the boat.
The person who was moving the boat stares at Elendil at his father, the person sighs and continues to move the boat. Elendil was can hear his fathers voice getting far and far away. After a few hours, Elendil finally woke and rubs his eyes, he sits up and he can still remember what happened, his parents.. The family he loved were gone, everything he owned was gone, it was over for him. The person stops moving the boat and stares at Elendil.
Elendil: "Hm? Uhm.." He stares at person with fearful and sad eyes. He sighs and cover his body as if he was trying to make himself warm.
The person removes the hoodie, Elendil stares at the person and gasps to see a familiar face. It was the young boy from earlier, how? How did he get here? Is he the one helping him? He was so many questions.
Elendil: "You! You're the boy from earlier.. Uhmm.. I.. " he was speechless and stares at the wooden floor.
The person decided to change the topic, he can see Elendils expression - Sad and Scared. The person sighs and starts speaking with a cold tone.
Angel: "My name is Angel.. I know your story and I want to help you."
Elendil glances up at him and his eyes widen. He then starts speaking up.
Elendil: "Really? You do.. Well.. Uhmm.. I don't know what that means but.. Hello?" he mutters at the last.
Angel stares at him nonchalantly, he sits on the floor and glances around the ocean looking for any signs. Elendil was lost in thought, this is his start of his newlife now. He doesn't even know what to do or where to start, he sighs and closes his eyes and decided to wait for what's going to happen next.
