Chapter 178: Fat and Skinny Buu — One Down
But Mr. Satan and the puppy weren't so lucky. In just an instant, their bodies were hurled through the air, crashing hard to the ground, barely clinging to life...
"Satan..." Buu froze. He stared blankly at the collapsed Mr. Satan and the puppy in his arms.
As the first energy blast exploded, the second and third followed right after...
Thick smoke blanketed Mr. Satan's house. Everything was reduced to rubble, completely destroyed.
"Hahaha... Die, Buu!" Gotenks kept his hands moving, a gleeful grin spreading across his face.
The smoke began to clear!
Buu's eyes widened. He clenched his teeth tightly as steam spewed uncontrollably from the holes on his head—he was clearly on the verge of exploding with rage.
"Cough... cough..." Thankfully, Mr. Satan was tough. His weak coughing drew Buu's attention.
"Satan..." Buu dashed over in the blink of an eye and reached out to heal him.
"Huh?" Mr. Satan noticed the pain had vanished from his body, surprised at his sudden recovery.
But the moment he looked down and saw the lifeless puppy in his arms, guilt welled up in him. "Buu... I couldn't protect the puppy!"
"The puppy..." Buu gently nudged it. Seeing no reaction, flames of fury ignited in him.
Above, the relentless barrage of energy blasts continued to rain down on Buu, accompanied by that maniacal laughter—his fury only deepened.
Steam burst violently from every vent in his body. Buu turned to Mr. Satan and said, "Satan, go hide—get away from here! Don't die!"
"Ugh..." As he spoke, his expression grew twisted, clutching his head as though it was splitting apart, his whole face contorted in pain.
"Go! Or you'll die!!" Buu roared in agony, as if enduring some unspeakable torment.
Caught in the storm of energy blasts, Mr. Satan looked around in confusion. "Die? What do you mean? Buu, are you okay?!"
"Hurry and go!" Buu shouted, forcing down his rage.
His terrifying look gave Mr. Satan a fright. Stumbling to his feet, he ran through the hail of blasts, dodging and tumbling toward the shattered front gate.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Piccolo had caught up and scolded Gotenks with a furrowed brow.
"Huh?" Gotenks halted his attack and proudly pointed to himself with a thumb. "I'm Gotenks! Obviously, I'm here to defeat Buu!"
"You adults couldn't handle it, so I had to take care of him myself!"
"Who said you were allowed to come? Look at what you've done!" Piccolo was ready to give this brat a good thrashing.
The smoke was clearing, revealing the ruins of the house, and the lawn in the courtyard was riddled with craters.
Clutching the dead puppy, Mr. Satan staggered to the gate, panting heavily and in total disarray.
Meanwhile, Buu's body was still venting huge amounts of steam uncontrollably!
"Huh... Doesn't look like anything happened! That guy didn't even die!" Gotenks tilted his head and said casually.
Piccolo wasn't moved in the slightest. He glared coldly at Gotenks. "I'm going to report this to Vegeta and Gohan!"
"No need! They already know!" Lin Qi suddenly appeared beside Piccolo, with Vegeta—now fully awakened in his potential—right behind him.
"Hmph. I'll deal with you when we get back!" Vegeta snorted, shifting his gaze toward Buu.
"What's going on over there?"
The steam erupting from Buu hadn't dispersed—instead, it condensed in midair into a humanoid shape, forming a dark and skinny version of Buu.
Mr. Satan was horrified as he saw the second Buu emerge. "W-What the hell?! What is that thing...?"
"Another Majin Buu?! What happened?! Where is that terrifyingly evil power coming from?!"
Vegeta's expression darkened as he stared at the skinny Buu.
"It's another Majin Buu—he came out from the original Majin Buu!" Piccolo's face also turned grim. He shot Gotenks a reproachful look. "Look what you've done!"
"I didn't do anything..." Gotenks retorted, annoyed. "I just fired a few blasts. You saw it too!"
"You two, get out of here!" Vegeta's icy gaze fell on Gotenks. "I'll deal with you later!"
"Hmph! No way..." Gotenks refused to back down.
"Buu separated his evil side!" Lin Qi didn't waste time on their finger-pointing. This was part of the plan from the beginning.
Well... aside from Gotenks triggering it at the worst possible moment, just as Buu had started to change for the better.
"So... that skinny one with all the evil energy is the real Majin Buu?" Even Vegeta was getting confused.
One Buu splits into two, and both are enemies? Or is only one of them the real enemy?
"This has gotten a lot more complicated... and a lot more dangerous." Cold sweat trickled down Piccolo's cheek. He turned to Lin Qi.
"You're still not going to step in? What are you waiting for?"
Lin Qi said nothing. He focused on the two Buus now facing off on the ground—each eyeing the other warily.
"Who are you?" Fat Buu looked at the skinny Buu descending from the sky, a bit confused.
The skinny Buu met his gaze and shot back with a question of his own: "Who are you?"
"I'm Majin Buu!" Fat Buu snapped. He was furious at the appearance of this second version of himself.
"I'm the real Majin Buu!" the evil Buu shot back, just as angry.
The two started arguing—and then, naturally, they fought. Fat Buu launched an attack at Skinny Buu.
But because of the separation of good and evil, Fat Buu's strength was now weaker than Skinny Buu's.
He couldn't land a single hit and was quickly beaten black and blue. Just as he was about to use his antenna—
"I'm going to turn you into chocolate and eat you!"
But before he could act, Lin Qi appeared beside him and stopped him.
Pointing at the puppy in Mr. Satan's arms, Lin Qi said, "Buu, I can bring that puppy back to life."
"Really?!" At those words, Buu immediately calmed down. Overjoyed, he rushed to Mr. Satan and handed the puppy over to Lin Qi.
"Who the hell are you?!" Seeing his plan foiled, Skinny Buu let out a furious roar and lunged at Lin Qi.
But Lin Qi stood unfazed. He turned to the rooftop, where Vegeta was watching with his arms crossed.
"Vegeta, he's all yours."
"Oh..." Sensing the power radiating from Skinny Buu, Vegeta grinned arrogantly. "Aren't you generous—giving me the stronger one!"
