As soon as the monsters landed, they charged toward the nearest Demon Gear Division troops.
But they clearly underestimated the division's power. The moment they appeared, they were met with a barrage of concentrated firepower, tearing their bodies apart in an explosion of flesh and blood.
Still, the monsters quickly began forming formations. At the very front were Earth Dragons and Brainless Giants—thick-skinned, muscular brutes.
Regular demonized bullets could pierce their muscles, but weren't nearly lethal enough.
Frank immediately noticed this issue—tanks at close range were prone to friendly fire.
"All units, authorization to use high-energy particle rifles!" he ordered.
Everyone's face twisted into feral grins upon hearing that.
"I'll go first. I've been itching to try this big guy."
Will tossed aside his rifle and hauled a massive gun from the back of the armored truck. It was 1.8 meters long and 0.4 meters wide.
He moved to the front lines and began setting up the base mount. This beast of a gun had too much recoil for them to handle without it.
"Will, you f*cking done yet?!" Garcia roared impatiently.
The monsters were less than a hundred meters away. The Brainless Giant in front was using the corpse of an Earth Dragon as a shield while steadily advancing.
"I'm on it, stop nagging!" Will shouted back as he finally assembled the high-energy particle rifle.
He didn't even bother aiming—he fired straight at the densest concentration of monsters.
Boom!
A deafening blast thundered through the air like a bomb exploding beside their ears.
The massive recoil sent smoke and dust flying everywhere.
Will felt like his internal organs were being twisted and squeezed by an invisible giant hand.
A blue beam of energy shot out, instantly piercing through the Earth Dragon and Brainless Giant at the front, cutting through layer after layer of monsters before vanishing into the distance.
Even those monsters who weren't hit directly by the beam were still ravaged by the high-energy particles that burrowed into their bodies. Muscles and bones instantly vaporized from the intense heat, leaving behind expanding voids that eventually turned into black ash.
The Demon Gear troops focused their fire on the gap that had been opened, quickly eliminating the rest of the monsters.
"What a beauty! Anything produced by the Demon Science Division is top-notch!"
Will affectionately caressed the massive rifle.
Originally designed for warships, the high-energy particle rifle had been modified by the Demon Science Division into a single-soldier suppression weapon.
"All units, demonize. Fire at the target above!" Frank's voice came through the communicator.
Frank himself was shouldering a high-energy particle rifle—without even using a base mount. He aimed it at the sky, at [Kino].
[Kino] was still roaring in rage when something caught his eye, and he suddenly froze.
"Pamela…"
In a cluster of blooming flowers stood Pamela, wearing a flowing green dress, looking like a goddess descended from the heavens—noble and cold.
But when she looked at [Kino], her eyes held only indifference, devoid of any emotion.
This wasn't his Pamela.
His Pamela was gentle—she'd never look at him like that.
Kill the imposter!
Just as [Kino] prepared to attack her—
A hundred red beams of energy rose from below.
Boom!
They all struck him.
The demonized high-energy particles corroded the energy on his surface, shredding his battle suit, though it still failed to injure him.
[Kino] turned his icy gaze downward.
"Sh*t, this guy's way too tough," Will cursed, unable to help himself as he saw how unharmed [Kino] remained.
Others swallowed nervously.
"Everyone, ignore him. Focus on the surrounding monsters," Frank ordered as he turned his gaze away.
He'd hoped to kill [Kino], but it was clear now that they'd need the Young Master for that. The weapon was still too weak. They needed something stronger.
Everyone else refocused, adjusting their formation—despite the monster floating above who could kill them all with a flick of his hand.
"You insects… how dare you ignore me?!" [Kino] raged, energy swirling as he prepared to annihilate them.
"They're not insects."
A hand reached from behind him, pierced through muscle, and grasped his heart.
"You're the insect!"
Kino crushed the heart in his hand.
"Pfft… Demon King…" [Kino] coughed blood, looking down at the massive hole in his chest. Golden energy surged from his body as he tried to retaliate.
"Hello," Kino said, lifting his other hand in a blade strike.
"Goodbye!"
[Kino]'s vision spun wildly.
He saw… his own body.
My head… was cut off? Am I… dead?
His final vision was engulfed in a wave of red light.
Bang!
Kino used heat vision to reduce the imposter's head to ash.
From ambush to execution—less than two seconds had passed.
If it were any other day, he might've toyed with the imposter. But not now. He didn't have the time. The sooner he finished this, the sooner he could go home.
As for the body? It could be used for research.
Note: (Might end up writing this more chaotically than the New York battle. Still struggling with prose.)
Dark Dimension.
Through monitors created by the Brain, the Leader watched Kino effortlessly dispatch his enemy.
"Don't get excited… This is just the beginning."
Poland.
A dark shadow plummeted from the sky, landing silently as if weightless.
From the sky, Erik saw the figure—and his pupils contracted.
"What luck… waking up to see a familiar face and a familiar place. Wouldn't you agree, Erik?"
The figure slowly looked up. A diamond-shaped ruby glinted on his forehead as he grinned eerily.
"You're right. It is a lucky day. Because I get to kill you again, Shaw!"
Suddenly, a metallic storm cloud formed in the sky. Thousands of metal fragments, under Erik's control, surged toward the figure on the ground like a swarm of furious bees.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The metals crashed into the ground, producing a deafening series of explosions.
Lorna, watching from the side, was shocked by the hatred in her father's eyes.
Who is this man… to make Father this furious?
Australia.
Tony's vision flickered—darkness, then light.
Before him stood a group of familiar faces. At the front were four different Mr. Sins.
"I think you need a refresher on intellectual property law. The Demon Group's legal team will be in touch…"
Tony's helmet slid down over his face.
"Kill them."
Mr. Sin didn't even bother replying.
Behind him, a legion of mutants unleashed their powers, launching attacks in waves.
"Can't a man finish a sentence around here?" Tony grumbled.
Solar Flare Cannon!
The green Lantern core on his chest lit up.
With a resonant mechanical whir, a massive green cannon emerged—filled with complex machinery and glowing energy.
Tony's armor opened at the stomach, exposing the solar core and linking it to the cannon.
"Let's see what you can do!"
As he pulled the trigger, an overwhelming torrent of energy blasted from the barrel, roaring like a fiery dragon straight into the enemy ranks.
BOOM!
The energy beam shot skyward, as if tearing the very sky apart.
In an instant, fire and smoke engulfed the battlefield. What was once calm ground transformed into a hellish sea of flames.
The intense heat and violent shockwaves turned everything into molten lava—even the air seemed aflame.
"All right, done here. Let's go support the other fronts," Tony said, lifting his visor with a smug smirk at his teammates.
He was very satisfied with the results. If it weren't for this being a mirror dimension, he'd never dare fire such a weapon.
The Green Lantern Armor wasn't just armor—it was a weapon arsenal.
It contained every weapon Tony had ever known.
However, since the strength of Green Lantern energy depended on the user, most weapons still relied on the older solar core for energy.
Dr. Zola suddenly noticed something—a portal opened behind Tony.
A beam of energy shot out from the inferno, passed through the portal, and blasted into the distance.
Moments later, a distant mountain crumbled and collapsed into rubble.
"What a pity. I almost got one of them," came Mr. Sin's disappointed voice from within the flames.
Tony turned in shock to see the inferno quickly vanishing.
But it wasn't dissipating naturally—it was being absorbed.
The four Mr. Sins stood tall, both hands absorbing the energy around them. The mutant army behind them had suffered almost no casualties.
"Your attack's a bit weak," Mr. Sin said with a mocking smile full of contempt.
Black King's ability.
Quote of the Chapter:"When strength fails, strategy must prevail—but when both fail, the only path left is evolution."
