Chapter 193 - Chapter 191 – It Worked!

"There is no failure. Continue the experiment!"

Ganaata unfolded her armor, transforming it into various intricate instruments that appeared before everyone.

She was unwilling to give up! The hope of finally eating a full meal was right in front of her. How could she allow failure for such a reason?

Everyone stared in shock at the instruments before them. But there was no time to waste. They quickly took control of the equipment and resumed the experiment.

The artificial sun, which had been continuously expanding, gradually stabilized and began to shrink.

This time, Ganaata used the energy within her body to generate rays and heat the plasma, in order to accelerate the process.

Otto, Tony, and Hank all controlled the rays simultaneously.

"3.9, 4.1, 4.3—the temperature is rising fast!" Killian was so excited, flames began to rise from his body.

This time, they were certain of success.

Kino suddenly looked up at the ceiling.

"Pamela, Xi, Crazy Girl, and Hela—you four go out and calm the employees. The entire building's circuits just shorted out. Also, stop anyone trying to force their way in. If they attempt it—kill them."

"Understood!" said Pamela.

"Got it!" Xi responded.

"No problem, Little Kiki!" Harley grinned.

"Who's the blind idiot looking for trouble at a time like this?" Hela growled.

Devil Corporation Headquarters

Coulson adjusted his suit as he approached the Devil Corporation building. Before he could even step through the front door, he was stopped.

"Hello, Flint. I need to see the Demon King," Coulson said calmly, staring at the sand giant in front of him.

"No one is allowed inside today," Flint replied without emotion.

"Flint, you have to understand—right beneath our feet lies a massive bomb. No one knows when it might explode. Its power is enough to obliterate all of New York."

"Your wife is in an apartment five kilometers away. Your child is at an elementary school downtown. Do you understand?" Coulson said, knowing Flint well enough to avoid a direct confrontation. Using his family as leverage was the only way.

Flint remained silent and unmoving.

Coulson frowned and made a subtle hand gesture behind his back.

"Prepare to force ent—"

Before he could finish the sentence, a red dot appeared on the foreheads of every S.H.I.E.L.D. agent present.

"Long time no see, Agent Coulson," Pamela said elegantly as she walked out, flanked by Harley and Xi. Hela had gone to calm the employees.

"Hello, Madam Pamela. Can I ask you to stop this dangerous experiment?"

Coulson, unfazed by being targeted by sniper rifles, calmly stated his objective.

"Coulson, we're all here. This experiment is a benefit for all of humanity," Pamela replied with a gentle smile.

"I hope so," Coulson said, remaining silent as he waited for the outcome.

Inside the Laboratory

"900 million degrees Celsius! Isn't that enough? How much more do you need?" Killian was nearly losing his mind.

If he was a genius, then these people were maniacs.

Weren't they afraid of failing again?

"According to the data model, 1 billion is the optimal temperature. Keep going," Tony said, his face pale.

He hadn't taken any enhancement serum, and this kind of long-term precision work was starting to take its toll on him.

"I'm so hungry… so hungry…" Ganaata's face had become gaunt. All the energy she had consumed earlier had been used up, and now she was running on empty.

But the delicious feast was right in front of her. To give up now would mean failure at the final moment.

"I'll control the magnetic containment next," Lorna said, her hands glowing with green light.

Ganaata stopped her own energy output to the magnetic device—this would allow her to hold on a bit longer.

Lorna's arms sank under the weight.

So heavy!

"9.3… 9.5… 9.8… 1 billion. The temperature's reached!" Killian shouted.

Kino picked up two N-metal shells and approached the artificial sun.

This final step could only be performed by him.

The immense pressure from the artificial sun kept trying to push the two shells apart.

Kino gritted his teeth and forced the shells together.

Everyone present held their breath unconsciously.

Crack—

As the two shells merged into one, the mechanism on them activated automatically, sealing every gap.

Buzz, buzz, buzz—

The N-metal sphere trembled continuously.

Everyone's hearts trembled with it.

Each of them silently prayed that everything would proceed smoothly, that no accidents would occur.

With a final strange noise, the N-metal sphere finally calmed down.

"Did it work?" Tony was dazed. Had they truly achieved the greatest invention in human history?

"It worked!" Hank confirmed.

Otto removed his mechanical arms and stared in disbelief at the metal sphere in Kino's hand.

"My artificial sun… worked?" he murmured.

Kino handed the metal sphere to Otto."Yes, Dr. Otto."

Otto clutched the slightly cold metal ball and burst into tears.

It had truly succeeded. A project that had always been mocked and dismissed as a fantasy had actually succeeded.

Among everyone present, only Banner and Killian could truly understand Otto's emotions in that moment.

"Stop crying and feed me already—I'm starving…" a weak voice groaned.

Everyone turned their heads. Ganaata was lying on the ground, completely drained.

"This is the first artificial sun. No matter how it's used, I'll respect your choice," Kino said.

Of course, it could only go to Ganaata or himself.

Otto gently stroked the metal sphere in his arms.

This wasn't something he had achieved alone.

The young master's metal, Ganaata's equipment, and everyone's assistance had all been essential.

He slowly approached Ganaata and crouched down.

"This should be enough to satisfy your appetite, Ganaata."

Ganaata stared at the metal sphere in a daze.

"You're just giving it to me?"

"Yes. It was thanks to you that we didn't fail this time."

"Thank you. Then, I'm digging in!"

Ganaata opened the sphere's energy output valve. A massive surge of energy gushed out and was quickly devoured by her.

"Even though you told me about her identity, seeing this scene in person is still shocking. I really want to study her physiology," Tony said as he walked up beside Kino.

"If you don't want her father to come after you, I suggest you give up on that thought," Kino warned, casting a side glance at him.

"Then I guess I'll pass."

Kino walked up to Ganaata, who was devouring her meal happily.

"Is it delicious?"

"Mmhmm," she nodded, still eating.

"Do you remember our deal?"

"Mmhmm."

"Then sign this contract."

"Mmhmm."

Without even looking, Ganaata signed her name on the contract.

"Congratulations! This solar sphere is yours now. And in return, you'll work for me… for 10,000 years."

"Mm—PFFFT!!"

A mouthful of golden energy sprayed all over Kino's face, yet it didn't pierce his thick skin.

"Ten—ten thousand years?! I've only been alive for a few hundred!" Ganaata shouted, eyes wide in disbelief as she yelled at Kino.

Quote of the Chapter:

"Dreams that once seemed foolish become history's greatest miracles—when fueled by belief, teamwork, and a bit of madness."
