Chapter 563 - Chapter 563: Something You Should Know

"Nagini, you're back?" Noah smiled as he looked at the Asian woman standing in front of him.

This woman was Nagini.

The first woman in this universe to be transformed into a Druid by Noah.

The first to break free from the Blood Curse Beastman.

And the first woman to share a special connection with him.

Back when Noah was preparing to leave Hogwarts, he had accepted Professor Dumbledore's request to take her with him.

He had also allowed her to bite his arm.

Years had passed since then.

That contract still lingered, faint but intact.

Noah could remove it with a single thought now.

But he never did.

He simply kept it.

As for why?

Perhaps aside from certain inappropriate thoughts about Nagini, everything else could be explained.

Including laziness.

"Of course I'm back," Nagini replied with a faint smile. "This is where I came from, isn't it?"

"The Druid race is stable now, so I chose to return. Am I not welcome?"

"Of course you're welcome." Noah spread his hands. "Extremely welcome."

"Don't forget, we still have that special contract connection between us."

"Alright." Nagini nodded, her expression turning serious.

"Thank you, Noah. If it weren't for you-"

"Alright, alright. Stop." Noah cut her off immediately.

He heard words of gratitude everywhere.

He was tired of them.

"There's no need to say that between us," he said calmly.

"By the way, how are the Druids doing now?"

"I've heard some news, but it doesn't compare to what you know after staying with them all this time."

That was true.

The information Noah received was the same as what most magicians knew.

He knew his goal had been achieved.

With the Druids' emergence, Dragonkin magic was no longer impossibly difficult.

But beyond that?

Their current lives, conditions, and internal state were all a mystery to him.

Nagini didn't question his sources.

She simply explained.

The Druids were doing very well.

They had collectively relocated to the wizarding world in Leeds County.

The Ministry of Magic had designated a forest-adjacent area for them and allowed them to build their own town.

A Floo Network connected them to major magical regions.

Like the former mutants, they had integrated smoothly into the wizarding world.

Children of appropriate age had begun attending Hogwarts.

Because of their special nature, the Ministry had even granted them certain privileges.

When magicians came to consult them about transformation-related information, the Druids provided it truthfully.

And they were generously compensated.

Their lives were far better than before.

They could finally live openly.

Under the sun.

To prevent unchecked ambition from forming, Nagini chose to remain there.

Under her management, every Druid knew exactly who they owed their current life to.

They also understood their own value.

Which emotions were allowed.

And which were not.

Her methods were effective.

It took roughly a year for the Druids to become fully compliant and disciplined.

Once she confirmed that they understood their position, Nagini finally left with peace of mind and returned to the Sanctum.

"Overall, things are pretty good," Nagini concluded.

"They're performing well, and that puts me at ease."

"With their abilities, I don't need to worry about their living environment anymore."

"That's good." Noah nodded.

"Your room has always been there. I kept it for you."

"That's good." Nagini smiled.

She almost said, Isn't my room your room?

But she held it back.

"I heard you're dating Hermione," she added. "Things are going well?"

"Yes." Noah nodded without hesitation.

"We get along well. We've known each other for a long time."

"So far, everything's been good."

"We're enjoying it."

That was true.

They didn't meet often.

Nothing inappropriate had happened.

But the relationship was stable.

And comfortable.

"Congratulations," Nagini said warmly. "After all this time, you finally found someone suitable."

"I thought you were going to spend your whole life with your three roommates."

"Don't joke." Noah rolled his eyes.

"Kate and Lance are already married."

"And Ace may not be thinking about marriage yet, but he's already been through three girlfriends."

"Alright, alright." Nagini spread her hands.

"Seems I really was gone too long."

"I hear you British people sometimes have... deviations in certain orientations."

"Your past behavior seemed worth referencing."

Noah didn't even bother responding.

Some British people might be like that.

But he wasn't purely British.

And as he said, his roommates all had partners.

Even though they met less often, they stayed in touch through WeChat.

They'd even agreed that whoever got married first, the other three would be groomsmen.

So Noah knew their situations clearly.

None of them had those kinds of deviations.

"Enough joking." Nagini's expression suddenly turned serious.

"There's something I need to tell you."

"Oh?" Noah straightened slightly. "Go ahead."

"There's no need to worry between us."

"When I was in Leeds," Nagini said, "a wizard from the York Magic Association came to see me."

"His name was William Moore."

"Oh?" Noah frowned slightly. "What did he say?"

"He said some Kamar-Taj wizards recently approached him to purchase materials."

"Very strange ones."

"And very dark."

"He also said it wasn't just him."

"Several other magical organizations encountered similar requests."

"Is that so..."

Noah frowned.

Dark magical materials?

Kamar-Taj wizards?

The combination made little sense.

Was Mordo experimenting with something new?

Normally, Noah wouldn't care.

Especially since neither Mordo nor Victor had reported anything.

As far as he knew, Kamar-Taj was stable.

But William Moore wasn't someone who would report trivial matters.

As the heir of the York Magic Association, he wouldn't come personally without reason.

That alone made Noah take it seriously.

"What else did he say?" Noah asked.

He was already considering contacting Mordo directly.

But Nagini's next words made him pause.

"Master Moore said the materials carried dark power."

"Unlike normal Kamar-Taj sorcerers..."

"Those people felt evil."

"Their eyes looked like they'd been corroded by that power."
