"What is it?"
Noah asked, genuinely puzzled.
This wasn't the system's usual style.
In Noah's memory, the damn system always spoke directly. It said what it wanted, never cared about his feelings, and never bothered with tone.
But this time, it was asking.
Using an interrogative tone.
That alone made Noah pay attention.
When the system spoke like this, it usually meant something had changed. Or that something serious needed to be discussed.
"The fusion of the six Infinity Stone energies yields unprecedented effects."
The system's voice was still flat and mechanical.
"They are refined from the essence of singularities. What I can do is recreate their past, allowing you to witness the entire process of a cosmic Big Bang."
"A cosmic Big Bang?" Noah rubbed his chin. "Just that?"
"What else do you expect?" the system replied calmly. "To snap your fingers and erase the entire universe?"
"..."
Noah spread his hands.
He really wanted to say that destroying the entire universe wasn't necessary. Just Thanos and his fleet would be fine.
But he didn't say it.
With such a small amount of power, it probably wasn't possible anyway.
As for watching a Big Bang-
Noah understood what the system meant.
From another perspective, his domain was already a universe in its infancy. Anything related to the birth of a universe could bring unimaginable benefits.
Still, the Big Bang was far beyond his current comprehension.
His domain could be considered a universe, but if compared to human development, it was barely at the "tadpole" stage.
A phenomenon like the Big Bang was simply on a completely different level.
More importantly, Noah sought creation, not destruction.
If the Big Bang was followed by the reconstruction of a universe, then he would seriously observe it.
"Alright," Noah said, spreading his hands again. "A Big Bang, then. Let's see it."
"That's exactly the issue," the system replied, its tone noticeably heavier. "This time is different."
Different?
Noah frowned.
He knew the Infinity Stones were terrifying, but he didn't feel how this could be so different.
He already possessed two Infinity Stones.
Six stones together were horrifying, but this wasn't that.
This was only a fragment of energy from all six.
Logically, it shouldn't produce anything fundamentally different.
As for the Big Bang, Noah had read about it before.
He hadn't seen one, of course, but he understood the concept.
It wasn't until the system explained further that Noah truly understood the difference.
First, this energy could only be used once.
The system could only restore these six energies through that mysterious silver power.
Once restored, it could be used only a single time.
And what it would display was far beyond what Noah could currently withstand.
But at the same time, Noah realized just how terrifyingly beneficial it could be.
The destruction of a universe itself didn't suit his current situation.
But the chaos produced by cosmic destruction-time, space, matter, dimensions-
All of it could bring unimaginable gains.
If Noah's comprehension was deep enough, he could even retrace everything within his own consciousness.
Or inside the system space.
In other words, he could witness not only the Big Bang of a universe, but a complete cycle-from destruction to formation.
Time reversal was impossible for him in reality.
But inside the system space, it was achievable.
This would be immensely helpful for constructing his own universe.
Unfortunately, his current state didn't meet the requirements.
Simply put, his level was too low.
The minimum requirement was Tier 10.
That was why the system had informed him in advance.
If Noah watched it now, it would be a complete waste.
The system could observe it.
But that had nothing to do with Noah.
The system wasn't the master.
He was.
The system could assist, but it couldn't replace him.
Only after Noah personally experienced and comprehended it could the system provide meaningful feedback.
That had always been its rule.
"It seems I can't use these powers for now," Noah sighed. "By the way, can it really be used to snap fingers?"
"Yes," the system answered immediately. "It can precisely kill a being of similar strength to you. But do you really want to waste it like that?"
"Of course not," Noah replied. "I know what the right choice is. It just feels a bit regrettable. If Thanos could be erased with a snap, things would be much simpler."
"I make no judgment," the system said calmly, its voice sharp. "If you reach that level one day, you might make the same choices as him."
Noah smiled and didn't respond.
From the beginning, he never believed Thanos was completely wrong-at least not from a cosmic perspective.
Different standpoints led to different conclusions.
But they were enemies now.
That was enough.
For himself, and for those he cared about, Noah would stop him.
As for the future-
There was no need to think that far ahead.
By the time he reached that level, who knew how long it would take?
And even if his domain truly became a universe, he wouldn't use Thanos's methods.
As its master, a gentler, more controlled approach made more sense.
For example, he could learn from the Primordial Controller in his memories.
Build a system that sustained itself.
Hidden in the shadows.
Free from resentment or rebellion.
But that was all far in the future.
Right now, it wasn't worth overthinking.
Noah shook his head and changed the topic.
"By the way, what about the mission reward?" he asked. "It's not just the Big Bang simulation, right?"
"Yes. And more."
The system's voice echoed in his mind.
"A subtle yet relatively complete spatial rule. Extremely implicit. Derived from those energies. Very suitable for you."
"A rule?" Noah raised an eyebrow. "Those actually exist?"
"They always have. You simply didn't realize it. To encounter them, you must first transcend the ordinary."
"So what good is it to me now? I don't feel anything."
"It is hidden within your domain. When your true strength reaches a certain level, you will understand its function. Even now, it can provide unimaginable assistance. You must discover it yourself."
Noah nodded.
He was already used to this.
Whatever the system gave him, mastery always came later.
In fact, his greatest gains had always been his domain-
And the magic directly granted to him twenty years ago, which pushed him to Tier 3.
Sighing, Noah stopped thinking about it.
It was now the latter half of 2016.
A year marked by an explosion of heroes.
Yet strangely calm.
Aside from Strange's timely arrival, nothing major had happened.
The Avengers' civil war hadn't begun.
Spider-Man hadn't joined yet. He was still just a friendly neighborhood hero.
Noah wasn't sure about Black Panther, but since Bucky had surrendered long ago, T'Challa's father was still alive.
It would be a while before he took the throne.
Not that Noah cared.
His only interest there was Everett Ross.
After all, that guy was not only a half-orc-
He was also Holmes' reliable Watson.
Noah even wondered if, should Ross become paralyzed again, he should send him to assist Strange.
"...Forget it."
Noah shook his head, losing interest.
"What I really care about is Tony's progress."
When Thor and Loki delivered the gift from the parallel-universe Avengers, Noah handed it to Tony without hesitation.
But he didn't know how far the research had progressed.
All he could do was wait.
If Tony truly succeeded-
Noah had plans.
Parallel universe travel.
Tourism.
And maybe-
A way to grow stronger.
"If the Thanos of other universes aren't that different, and I master escape techniques, I could challenge them one by one."
"That counts as training."
Noah smiled.
Then quickly suppressed it.
Because the magatama embedded in his body stirred.
