Seeing Thor's expression, Noah and the others knew there was no need to ask anything. Clearly, Darcy couldn't help.
According to her, "one moment they were together, but the next, a strange space appeared, and then Jane was gone." A frustrated Thor could only return to ask if Noah and the others had any way to find Jane.
"It's not that hard to find her. Perhaps we can try another method, like a simple tracking spell." As the Head of the Department of Mysteries, Draco had a good grasp of such things. Noah was happy to let his old friend show off; if Noah really wanted to find her, it wouldn't be a difficult task. With two Infinity Stones in his possession, he could easily unravel everything before him, as the abandoned factory they were in was filled with the power of the Reality Stone.
The best way to deal with these powers was to use the power of another Infinity Stone, or as in the original story, wait for the energy to dissipate and for Jane to emerge on her own. Of course, Noah didn't think Thor was the type to patiently wait; seeing how anxious he was, like a monkey, Noah understood.
"Draco, I'll leave this to you." Noah nodded to Draco, indicating for him to perform well. Draco didn't stand on ceremony and immediately began discussing with Thor.
Noah didn't actually know the tracking spell; it wasn't because it was difficult, but because Noah simply wasn't interested in it. However, Noah understood the spell's principle.
Simply put, it involved using some special items belonging to the person preferably something from their body, like blood or hair. Then, through the spell, these items would create a special resonance with the person, thereby revealing their whereabouts. Noah wasn't very interested in this type of magic, but every spell has its uses, like now.
"I say, is this spell reliable?" While Draco, Thor, and Darcy were discussing and searching for items Jane might have left behind like stray hairs Loki sidled up to Noah and quietly asked.
Seeing Loki's expression, Noah knew that this guy probably had serious doubts about the spell's effectiveness.
"Why would you think it's unreliable?" Noah retorted.
"There are many types of magic on Earth. Just like I've mastered many everyday spells, is that strange?"
"I feel like your understanding and use of magic have a peculiar deviation," Loki shrugged indifferently. "Isn't the essence of magic meant for combat?"
"That's a problem with your understanding of magic."
Noah smiled indifferently. "There are many ways to understand magic; combat is just one. I think magic is essentially a tool. Whether it helps us in combat or makes our lives more comfortable, it's just a form of application, nothing extraordinary."
The use and understanding of magic are inherently subjective, and no one can truly explain it definitively. But Noah always felt that while the true essence of magic was hard to define, making one's life more convenient was paramount, both in combat and in daily life.
As Noah and Loki chatted, Darcy quickly found some items related to Jane some hair from a comb. Soon, Draco, donning gloves and taking the hair, began to cast a special spell.
The strands of hair transformed directly into a wisp of green smoke, and then this smoke, as if conscious, began to move forward into the building. Seeing this, Noah stopped chatting with Loki and followed Thor and Draco, who were ahead, inside. This wisp of green smoke dissipated directly after floating into an abandoned warehouse, but the area was empty. Standing there, one could see almost every corner of the warehouse, and Jane Foster was nowhere in sight.
"What's going on?" Thor looked at Draco in confusion. Seeing Draco also looking puzzled, he turned directly to Noah.
"There's a spatial overlap here." Upon reaching this spot, Noah immediately sensed distinctly different energy fluctuations. This fluctuation was somewhat subtle; anyone else probably wouldn't have been able to sense it at all. But unfortunately for them, Noah was not only a Kamar-Taj wizard but also the wielder of the Space Stone, so he immediately noticed the difference here.
Without needing Thor to say anything more, Noah slightly raised his hand, and a faint golden light began to shine. In the blink of an eye, a circular glowing portal appeared before Noah.
Thor immediately ran over. Through the glow, he instantly saw Jane Foster lying inside. "Jane! I'm coming to save you!"
Looking at Jane Foster lying there, and the strange energy continuously merging into her body, Thor could no longer control himself. Seeing this, Noah didn't hesitate; he immediately cast a binding spell that halted Thor mid-run. Honestly, Noah could have just pulled him back directly, as Noah's body was long past being ordinary. But with Thor looking like he was about to lose his mind, Noah was truly worried he might be dragged along! That would be too embarrassing and would directly destroy Noah's long-established image of being mysterious and powerful.
"Are you an idiot? In her current state, you going in would be suicide." Noah didn't wait for Thor to question him; he immediately preempted him. "Do you want me to deliver your corpse to King Odin?"
"I wish this embarrassing fellow would just die. Truly a brainless brute." As soon as Noah's words fell, Loki muttered softly. However, his "soft" voice still reached the ears of everyone present.
"I..." Thor was left speechless by Noah and Loki's combined remarks, especially when he noticed the strange look the mage named Draco, who had helped him find Jane, was giving him. This made Thor feel even more embarrassed.
Fortunately, Noah and the others didn't say much more.
Especially after Noah thoroughly observed the device that had been sealing the Reality Stone for so long, he immediately used the power of the Space Stone to release Jane Foster. Honestly, the way these Infinity Stones kept popping up on Earth gave Noah a feeling of, "Is someone playing a grand game of chess?"
As a member of the mystic arts, it was hard for Noah not to think this way. If it were true, then it would be terrifying. However, after much thought, Noah felt it was unlikely. Could it be that there was really some "Heaven's Gate" in this world, allowing one to leave this universe and enter the "Author's Universe"?
If that were truly possible, Noah felt he wouldn't care about any runes or whatnot; he'd just go straight to Stan Lee, make him draw himself as the strongest in the universe, and effortlessly eliminate the One-Above-All.
"Hmm, if he doesn't agree, I'll just control him! Wait, if I open this door and go through, will this old man still be alive? And what if it's not this old man?"
Noah's mind was full of audacious thoughts. When he snapped back to reality, he found Jane had already woken up in Thor's arms. When the woman saw herself lying in Thor's arms, she thought she was dreaming and said many inexplicable things, making Noah and the others standing by feel very awkward.
Even more awkward was that Thor seemed to have spontaneously developed a unique ability. He completely ignored the presence of Noah and the others, maintaining the pose of a prince who had just kissed his princess awake, continuously uttering nauseatingly sweet words.
"I say, can you two behave yourselves?"
Unable to bear it any longer, Noah could only helplessly
speak up, reminding these two lost-in-the-moment individuals that he and the others were still in this accursed warehouse. Indeed, after Noah spoke, Jane finally realized she wasn't dreaming. She turned her head and saw her assistant, the mage she had once met and seen scolding both herself and Thor, and some others who seemed to be with this mage.
Honestly, this mage gave Jane a very peculiar feeling. To be precise, this mage hadn't left Jane with a very good impression. Even though he was indeed tall and handsome, with a distinct British charm, his manner of speaking and doing things made Jane particularly uncomfortable.
"He has no gentlemanly conduct whatsoever!" This was Jane's sole assessment of Noah, especially after Noah had "silenced" her, making her unable to speak a word about him. Standing up and tidying her clothes, Jane finally regained her normal composure and inquired about the
current situation.
"What happened? Why are you suddenly here?"
"Please, London is my territory. You disappeared here, and Thor had no choice but to come to me for help.
Otherwise, do you think I'd bother with you?"
"Wait, disappeared?"
Jane was completely confused about what had happened.
She only remembered being pulled in by some force, then arriving in a strange place, then seeing a strange thing, and then opening her eyes to find herself here, seeing these people. In her mind, all of this happened in a very short time. Perhaps everything she saw just now was just a dream she had while unconscious. Thor specifically came, not to mention bringing so many mages to help find her?
"What else did you think?" Noah rolled his eyes, then said with an expression like he was looking at an idiot, "I remember saying years ago that I don't have wings, nor do I glow with holy light. I'm not your guardian angel.
What makes you think you're so special that I'd come rescue you? If you weren't Thor's girlfriend, I wouldn't have bothered with you."
"Noah," Thor seemed to realize that his friend wasn't getting along with his girlfriend, which made Thor feel incredibly awkward.
"Alright, I won't say anything more," Noah shrugged. "And Thor, I suggest you take her back to Asgard."
"Back to Asgard? Why?"
"Haven't you noticed an unusual power in her body?"
