CASSANDRA
After my rescue, I've come to peace with the fact that I'm meant for nothing short of pain and suffering. Everyone's life seems easier than mine—no cold, emotionally absent father, no domineering and tyrannical brother.
At least you get one, not both of these cases. Trying to meet expectations can be like wearing a mask that doesn't quite fit. You need to adjust and conform to their standards.
But in doing so, you neglect your own feelings and needs. It's like living your life on someone else's blueprints rather than your own. It's like building a house according to how someone else wants it, a house you want to live in.
