The seat where Astrid had been sitting was now empty, leaving only Miss Livia and Professor Charlotte to watch from the sidelines.
On the dueling platform, the announcer used an amplification spell to broadcast the outcome of the duel to every corner of the venue.
"The winner of this duel is Lyra Beckett."
As soon as the announcement ended, the soundproof barrier was quickly lifted, and Lyra was met with a wave of applause from all directions. She felt slightly dazed.
