Chapter 32 - Blood Bath pt.2

The floor started to move downward. Rayleigh looked around.

"Dont worry. This is just so that we can have more room and so we dont destroy my shop."

Bram was taking off his robe. The floor stopped moving, the room had opened up, and Rayleigh realized that they were in a cave. There were torches lining the walls.

"Uldess, could you be in charge of making sure we dont go overboard?"

Uldess nodded and started walking to the center. He stopped next to Rayleigh and whispered something to him.

"He is going to become more affected by things that would affect vampires during this fight. Keep that in mind."

Rayleigh wasn't sure why Uldess said that to him. Rayleigh knew that he could make silver and make it into the shape of a stake, but he didn't want to kill Bram.

"Are you Raedy, Rayleigh?"

Bram was stretching and shadow boxing.

"Can you give me a few minutes so I can come up with a strategy?"

"Ok, but you can't use Agent."

Rayliegh had already figured that he couldn't use him. What can he do? He thought back to what Uldess said about Bram being weak to stuff that vampires are weak to. Rayleigh listed them: Silver, wooden stakes, holy water, garlic, and sunlight. How was he supposed to use these things to beat Bram?

"What if I can set some kind of trap, like a land mine or something? Can I even do that? I first need to think of how that kind of concept would work. First, it would be able to float, and only I would be able to see it. Second, I am going to need to set an area of how big it is going to be, then, I am going to need to set what will happen once it is set off, and lastly, I need it to set off when someone enters its area."

"Ok, I am ready."

Bram, who was sitting, got up.

"About time. Uldess, whenever you are ready."

"OK. BEGIN!"

Bram leaped forward and was in front of Rayleigh within seconds. Rayleigh focused on creating a wall with two layers; one made of metal that was facing him, and the other made up of an unstable explosive. Bram's hand had grown claws, and he then swiped at the wall, which. The metal side of the door protected Rayleigh from the explosion, Rayleigh knowing that that wouldn't be enough to beat him, focused on increasing his speed. Rayleigh had made it to the other side of the arena, and he then turned around to see that Bram's skull was exposed. Bram was on one leg, and he was tilting backward.

"NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!"

Bram's skin started to regrow. He then turned to face Rayleigh, who was trying to figure out how to make the proximity concept bombs.

"I see you have a plan, but you are having some trouble. Here is some advice: make a core word for an attack, and just add what you want it to do afterward. For example, proximity: explosion."

Rayleigh stopped. He wasn't sure if Bram could read minds, but he wasn't going to wait.

"Proximity: Sunlight[1], 2 meters[2]."

Rayleigh could feel the energy making the concept. Rayleigh knew what to do next; he forced the concept into his hand and waited for Bram to get closer.

"I see that you have taken my advice to heart, Rayleigh, but do you think I am going to make it easy for you?"

Rayleigh realized that Bram had played him. How was he gonna get in range of Bram to activate the concept?

"Rayleigh! Send it flying!"

Rayleigh looked over. It was Alex who was doing a swinging motion. Rayleigh, who realized what Alex was saying through the proximity concept, into the air.

"What are you planning on doing, Rayleigh?"

Bram was bearing his fangs. [3]Rayleigh had a feeling that he should hurry. Rayleigh focused on making a bat; he could feel the handle forming and it getting heavier as it finished materializing.

"What are you planning, Rayleigh? You going to hit me with that?"

Rayleigh looked up at the proximity concept and saw it start to come down. He raised the bat and waited, then, when the concept was right in front of him, he swung the bat, sending it straight at Bram. Bram, who had gotten bored, was startled when he saw the concept flying straight at him. He didn't have enough time to react and was engulfed in a blinding light. Rayleigh didn't wait to see if he was alive; he rushed straight in and matrelised gloves with impure silver spikes on each knuckle so as not to kill Bram. Rayleigh couldn't see anything because of how bright it was, so he had to deactivate the proximity concept. The second he did that, he saw Bram looming over him. Rayleigh jumped out of the way right before Bram swiped at him. Rayleigh didn't wait for an opening; he ran straight at Bram and punched him in the side. Bram screamed in pain. Rayleigh closed his eyes and continued punching Bram. Suddenly, Uldess was standing next to Rayleigh.

"Rayleigh, you can stop. Bram is unable to continue fighting."

Rayleigh looked at Bram, who was lying on the ground. Bram was in a pool of blood and had several holes that looked like they were breathing.

"Well, Rayleigh. Looks like you beat me, as promised, I will give you The Alucard. But I have one more request."

"Ok, what is it?"

"Please turn me into a null entity."

[1] I know you can't contain sunlight, but the area that the proximity concept will be like a flash grenade

[2] How big is it going to be

[3] Bram has lived for a long time and has always loved a good fight, so to see someone he enjoyed fighting stop iritated him
