"Are you that big green guy from before?" Seeing the person in front of her, Tohka thought for a long time before she spoke uncertainly. She couldn't help it—compared to the Hulk, Bruce Banner's regular form really didn't have much presence.
"Uh, well, alright." Hearing Tohka's words, Dr. Banner was a bit speechless too. But thinking about it, it was understandable—Tohka had never seen him in this form, so the fact she could even recognize him was already pretty good.
"Wow, Captain America, can you please..." At that moment, things got lively on the other side. Nova was circling around Captain America again.
Although it wasn't the first time they'd met, every time he saw Captain America, he got excited all over again. After all, to him, Captain America was synonymous with World War II.
"That guy is always the same... honestly such a headache." Watching that fellow with the bucket helmet running around, Tohka didn't even know what to say about him. If she remembered correctly, earlier that day she'd accidentally hurt his feelings. But she didn't expect he'd bounce back this quickly—though luckily, he wasn't pestering her right now, or it would've been annoying.
"Why are you here alone? Where's Miku Izayoi?" Seeing there was nothing going on, Spider-Man walked over to Tohka's side. Apparently, he was also someone who couldn't stay idle—but thankfully, maybe because of spider-sense or something else, he hadn't done anything suicidal in front of Tohka so far.
"Her? She's at home. Some guy from Africa is too petty and doesn't trust her." Hearing Spider-Man's question, Tohka replied lazily.
"Who are you calling petty?" But before Tohka could finish speaking, Nick Fury's voice suddenly came from behind them. It startled Tohka so much she almost jumped—she had just been badmouthing him behind his back, and he'd heard it.
"Well, ahahaha, nothing." Come on—although she wasn't afraid of this guy, Tohka wasn't about to just admit it so easily. She hurriedly laughed it off, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Our top priority right now is to confirm the Tesseract's location. So once Tony arrives, Dr. Banner, I'm leaving this to you two. Coulson has already contacted him—he should be here soon."
Rolling his eye helplessly at Tohka, Nick Fury, who had just returned, clearly didn't plan to argue with a little girl. It was obvious he'd just received Coulson's message—Tony had agreed to come.
"Alright, but when is he coming?" Dr. Banner had no objections to this—after all, with Tony around, it would be much easier for him too.
"I don't know—he was pretty angry about having his date interrupted. So, we'll just have to wait a while. We'll stay here until he shows up." Hearing Dr. Banner's question, Nick Fury's face darkened. Did he not understand the importance of this situation?
"Yeah, that definitely sounds like Tony." Tohka wasn't surprised at all. Even though he'd matured quite a bit, he still hadn't changed that reckless streak in his personality.
"You're all trying to track that guy? But do you really think this is going to work?"
Looking at the facial recognition system on the screen, Tohka didn't believe this would actually find Loki. That guy might be an attention-seeking brat who wanted his brother's notice, but he definitely wasn't stupid. Unless he deliberately showed himself, there was almost no way to find his trail.
"Don't worry—this is our most advanced system. As long as he's still on Earth, we'll definitely locate him." At that moment, the bald Hydra scientist proudly assured Tohka, clearly full of confidence in the system.
"Alright, whatever you say." Tohka rolled her eyes at him, too bored to bother arguing. Then she walked over to a table, lay down on it, and said to Nick Fury, "When you find Loki, wake me up. I'm going to sleep first."
After that, Tohka couldn't be bothered with anyone's reactions and just lay there asleep. As for whether Nick Fury would actually wake her, she wasn't worried at all. Aside from herself, probably no one here knew anything about magic. So, there was no way Nick Fury wouldn't wake her. And if he didn't—well, she'd just keep sleeping anyway.
So, everyone else watched the screens in tense concentration, while Coulson quietly walked over to Captain America, his face full of admiration—after all, this was his idol.
Time passed slowly, and the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier was enveloped in a tense atmosphere. This time, they were up against an enemy of Earth itself—even Hydra was working wholeheartedly. Of course, that didn't include Tohka, who was fast asleep without a care in the world. No one was going to bother waking her up—she couldn't help with any of this anyway.
As the minutes ticked by, just as dawn broke outside, Loki's figure was finally discovered.
"Alright, Captain, this one's yours. The rest of you stay here on standby—for now it's just Loki out there. We still don't know where Agent Barton's is." Seeing Loki on the screen, Nick Fury immediately issued his orders. As for why he wasn't sending everyone out—it was because he was worried about his operative.
In terms of raw strength, Hawkeye wasn't the most powerful—but his ability to wreak havoc unseen was terrifying. Nobody wanted to get randomly taken out by an arrow flying in from who-knows-where.
"Right, wake up Tohka. After all, we're facing someone from a place we barely understand, with powers we knew nothing about before." As soon as he finished speaking, he looked over at Tohka sleeping nearby and casually instructed Agent Hill to wake her.
"Mm? Who are you?" Half-awake, Tohka blinked around in confusion—but when she saw everyone's serious expressions, she remembered that they must have found Loki's trail.
"Let's go. He's appeared in Germany." Then she heard Captain America's voice, and followed him toward the exit.
"Trickster God Loki—and the Mind Stone. Looks like Thanos has set his sights on Earth already. Tsk tsk, I really wonder what other cosmic powerhouses will show up here in the future." Walking outside, Tohka was already thinking about the story to come. She knew this was just the beginning—Earth was going to have a lot to endure.
