Raven raised her hand dark magic spiraling like ink in water.

Kara's eyes widened.

"Wait! Raven...don't you dare!"

Too late.

A pulse of violet magic rolled over her.

When the glow faded, Kara looked down at herself.

Her clothes had shifted into a sleek sleeveless black crop top with glowing blue circuitry veins tracing across it, paired with fitted dark pants and metallic boots. A cropped jacket hung off one shoulder, silver accents catching the neon light. Her hair was tied up in a high messy ponytail with a streak of electric blue running through it.

She looked like a supermodel who could also steal a starship.

Kara froze.

"…I look awesome."

Raven smirked.

"You're welcome."

Arthur crossed his arms.

"This is not the reaction I wanted...." he sighed.

Arthur didn't even get a chance to finish processing the situation before Kara lunged at him.

both hands grabbing his wrist with zero hesitation.

"Let's go now!" she practically sparked with excitement, eyes wide like a kid who just spotted a carnival.

Arthur blinked.

Raven walked past them at a calm, unbothered pace.

"Yeah, we should get going," she said dryly.

"Before we draw more attention. Miss sunshine here is about to explode."

Kara shot her a glare.

"I am not.."

Her voice cracked from how excited she was.

Arthur sighed, but there was the faintest hint of a smile.

"Alright," he said. "Let's see if this is any different from Earth parties."

Raven glanced over her shoulder, lips twitching.

"Oh, trust me," she said.

"It's very different."

They walked through the neon-lit street until they reached a towering structure

a building that looked grown rather than built.

Its metallic surface pulsed softly, shifting colors with the bass trembling from inside.

Holographic patterns slid over the walls like liquid symbols, rearranging endlessly.

At the entrance stood a guard.

nine feet tall, reptilian skin mottled silver-blue, four arms folded across his chest.

His eyes were black and luminescent, no pupils, and his jaw split slightly when he breathed, revealing rows of needle-like teeth.

Kara's smile froze.

Arthur's eyes narrowed just a little.

Neither said a word.

The guard extended a massive palm toward them without speaking.

Raven reached into… somewhere

it wasn't clear if it was her pocket or reality itself

and handed over a thin shard of glowing obsidian etched with runes.

The guard scanned it, the symbols flashing across his eyes,

then stepped aside silently.

Kara leaned toward Arthur, whispering,

"I don't even know what that was."

Arthur muttered back,

"More importantly, what did you just hand him?"

Raven adjusted her new cyber-goth jacket casually.

"A pass," she said.

"I've been here before."

Arthur blinked.

"With the Titans?"

"No," she replied, walking ahead.

"Alone. It's easier for me to blend in. No one questions a half-demon."

Arthur nodded once.

"Right."

Inside

the world erupted.

The ceiling wasn't a ceiling at all, but a translucent dome showing a swirling alien sky streaked with plasma clouds and drifting starships.

The floor rippled like liquid metal beneath their steps but held solid.

Music vibrated through the air deep, resonant, almost physical.

Tables floated.

Species of every kind mingled some crystalline, some furred, others shifting forms like smoke.

Arthur scanned the room, taking it all in with quiet focus.

Raven walked like she belonged there.

Kara's jaw dropped.

Then she pointed.

Across the room, standing on a raised platform surrounded by cheering aliens was…

A Green Lantern.

Not Hal.

Not John.

Some random Lantern performing what could only be described as an interstellar party trick.

constructing massive glowing shapes with his ring to the beat of the music.

Kara slapped a hand over her mouth.

"No way," she whispered.

"Serve and protect my ass.."

She whipped out her phone faster than she ever drew heat vision.

"I HAVE to take a picture of this."

Arthur watched her snap several photos.

She laughed so hard she bent forward.

"This is too funny. I'm sending this to Hal."

Raven raised an eyebrow.

Kara grinned, still tapping her screen.

"Oh, this is nice."

****

The music shifted into something low and pulsing, lights drifting like neon smoke across the ceiling. Kara was already halfway across the floor before either of them realized she'd vanished.

Arthur watched her with a raised brow as she grabbed a glowing drink from a passing floating tray bright blue, fizzing, absolutely suspicious.

She sniffed it once.

"Well… bottoms up," she muttered, and took a mouthful.

The effect was instant.

Her eyes widened, face turning red, then she doubled forward with a strangled wheeze.

"WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE MY SOUL IS ON FIRE!"

Raven didn't blink.

"It's carbonated."

Kara slapped her chest, still choking on air.

"That was NOT carbonation. That was demonic carbonation."

Arthur took the glass from her before she could test fate again.

"Careful now," he said, tone casual but amused, "you can actually get drunk here, don't forget."

Kara's eyes sparkled too excited for someone two seconds from spontaneous combustion.

"Oh my god. Do you know what this means? I can't break anything! I can't throw anyone through a wall! I'm..." she flung her arms out dramatically "a normal person!"

She immediately spun into the crowd, bumping into a massive six-armed alien.

Instead of flying through a wall, the alien barely rocked.

Kara gasped like she'd just witnessed a miracle.

"Did you see that? I didn't kill him!"

The alien gave her a confused thumbs-up.

Arthur and Raven exchanged a look.

Kara was gone again already dancing like someone who'd waited her whole life to be unleashed on a dance floor.

Arthur sighed, turning back only to realize several staff members were suddenly hovering near him.

Not casually. Respectfully, One bowed.

Another gestured toward an upper lounge as if offering a throne.

Arthur stared at them, expression blank.

Inside his mind, Beru's voice rumbled like a threat barely restrained.

"My liege, should I punch some sense into these lesser beings so they can treat you with more respect?"

Before Arthur could respond, Galatea cut in sharply.

"Shut up, dumbass. My king cares little for these trivial creatures."

Arthur pinched the bridge of his nose internally.

'Both of you. Quiet.'

They fell silent instantly.

The staff continued treating him like a high-ranking something ushering him aside like royalty, offering drinks, space, distance.

Arthur glanced at Raven.

She shrugged, sipping something dark with the casual elegance of someone who had done this a hundred times.

"They're not reacting to you," she said. "They're reacting to me."

Arthur blinked.

"…Meaning?"

Raven looked away, almost embarrassed.

"They know me here."

"Right," Arthur said slowly. "As Raven?"

She shook her head.

A nearby alien saw her glance and immediately straightened bowing so low his forehead nearly hit the floor.

Arthur stared.

Raven muttered under her breath, "Please stop doing that…"

Arthur's mouth twitched.

"Secret party reputation, I see."

"It's not like that," she insisted. "I just… made an impression."

Arthur lifted a brow.

"What happened?"

Raven sipped again, voice flat.

"I smacked someone who tried to flirt with me."

Arthur paused.

"Well… that would do it."

Another alien hesitated nearby, clearly debating whether to bow again, then panicked and did it anyway before scurrying off.

Arthur leaned closer.

"You clearly have fans."

Raven didn't even look up.

"I have haters."

He laughed under his breath.

Raven narrowed her eyes slightly.

"…Wait. Are you jealous?"

Arthur took a slow sip of his drink, expression perfectly calm.

"What? …never."

She held the stare.

He leaned in, lips brushing her ear, voice low enough for only her.

"Maybe a little."

Her breath caught cheeks coloring just faintly before she masked it with a glare that wasn't a glare.

Before either of them could recover, Kara reappeared in their peripheral vision arms raised, hair wild, drink in both hands dancing like a hyperactive earthquake in human form.

Both Arthur and Raven froze, watching her with identical expressions.

Awe. Concern. Secondhand embarrassment.

All layered at once.

Kara spun, nearly slipped, recovered dramatically, then cheered at herself.

Arthur exhaled slowly.

"…She's going to get us kicked out."

Raven took another sip.

"On the contrary," she murmured, "besides, this is the most normal she's ever been."

They both kept watching.
