Kara straightened immediately, her relaxed posture gone in an instant. The faint playfulness in her expression faded as her eyes searched Arthur's face. Something in the air felt… different now. "Fools? What do you mean?"

Arthur stood, the air around him subtly shifting, pressure, authority, danger, all at once. He turned toward the window, watching the city lights as if his eyes pierced the stars themselves.

"The Guardians of the Universe," he said finally, voice carrying the weight of a verdict. "They've decided to mobilize against me. And not quietly either. they're sending a significant force of Lanterns to 'subdue me', as they put it. Defeat me. Capture me. All in secret, so secret, in fact they didn't even inform their human Lanterns."

Kara's brow tightened, and she stood taller. "That's… very serious, Arthur. We should let the League know about this!"

He didn't answer right away. Instead, his fingers drummed once on the glass before curling into a fist. Thoughts moved behind his eyes like shadows chasing one another.

"That's not really the problem," he said at last, voice low but firm. "I can take them on, me and my soldiers. That part's inevitable if they push it. What's bothering me is how reckless this is. How sudden it is. They know what I did in Qward. They've seen how I've handled Lanterns that fight far more ruthlessly than those green clad fools. And yet… here they are… rushing headlong into me. Something is off."

His gaze flicked toward her, violet light still burning faintly. "They know I can kill them if it comes to this."

Kara stepped closer, her voice firm but edged with urgency. "It doesn't matter what their true motives are right now, they're coming for you that's what matters. Like I said, we should let the League know."

He shook his head. "No. I'm not dragging Batman's paranoia into this. I'll meet them in space, if I must. Away from the League's radar."

Her lips pressed into a thin line, with no hesitation in her voice. "Then I'm coming with you."

A quiet beat passed before he sighed, rubbing at his jaw. "…Fine. I'll allow it. But don't underestimate them, Kara. They're sending their strongest. And an army of Green Lanterns…" His eyes narrowed slightly. "…is too much for a single Kryptonian."

She arched a brow, crossing her arms and tilting her head. "Ouch. You know how to wound a girl's pride."

That earned her a small, crooked grin from Arthur. "Just warning your reckless ass."

Kara tilted her head, watching him like a hawk. "Hold on a minute… how did you know all about this?"

Arthur's reply was maddeningly calm, like he was discussing the weather. "I left some spies there to keep me updated. I don't trust the blue midgets, after all."

Kara's lips curled into a wicked grin. She straightened her back, clasped her hands behind her like she was standing at attention, and lowered her voice into the smooth, brooding register he always used when explaining his schemes and actions.

"I left some spies there to keep me updated…" she echoed, drawing out the words like she was narrating an epic prophecy. "I don't trust the blue midgets, after all."

She even narrowed her eyes, leaning forward slightly with that faintly ominous stillness he was known for.

"Of course…" she said in a deep, gravelly mock-Arthur voice, "My shadows are lurking in Oa too."

Then, just to really sell it, she clasped her hands in front of her like a dark overlord and gave him the slowest, most exaggerated nod in history before breaking into a grin.

Arthur didn't even blink. "Very funny," he said flatly, though the faint upward twitch at the corner of his mouth betrayed him.

OA – SCIENCELLS

The Great Hall of the Sciencells was silent, save for the faint sound of the green containment fields and the slow drip of some unknown fluid echoing in the distance. Massive energy doors glowed with an emerald sheen, each one keeping horrors from across the galaxy sealed away, warlords, murderers, Lanterns, and things without names.

Scar moved through the shadows between them like she had always belonged there. Her robe dragged faintly against the cold floor. The faint light from the cells caught on her pale, scarred face, deepening the lines that age and corruption had carved into her.

Her eyes flicked to each occupied cell with quiet appraisal, the corners of her mouth curling ever so slightly.

"They've sent their best away…" she murmured to herself, voice dripping with satisfaction. "The elite, gone chasing trouble beyond the stars… and in doing so…" Her gaze swept over the rows of cells like a hunter considering cages full of predators. "They've left the heart of Oa… soft."

A snarl from one of the cells drew her attention. A hulking insectoid pressed its mandibles to the glowing barrier, hissing in a language only a Green Lantern translator could fully tame. Another cell held a winged humanoid whose gaze burned with a hatred so pure it seemed to pierce even the Guardian's ancient soul.

Scar's smile grew. "So many enemies. So many pieces… waiting to be placed back on the board."

With a lazy flick of her small hand, the air shimmered with black ripples. Energy locks dissolved, one by one, the brilliant green walls of the cells sputtering out. Power rings of different colors confiscated and locked away in containment fields quivered, then floated upward as though drawn by invisible strings. They swirled in a lazy spiral around Scar before darting off like guided missiles, streaks of light tearing through the corridors in search of their original bearers.

The prisoners stepped free, some cautiously, some with animalistic eagerness. A few flexed their hands, already feeling the familiar tug as their rings came screaming back to them.

But not all the rings obeyed. In one corner, a cluster of confiscated yellow rings twitched weakly in midair before clattering uselessly to the floor. Their light was gone thanks to Arthur, extinguished. Without fear to fuel them, they were nothing but dull metal bands.

One of the released criminals, a scarred Red Lantern with a jagged grin glanced at Scar with suspicion. "Why?" he rasped.

Scar turned her head slowly toward him, her expression serene but her eyes glinting with malice. "Because chaos is the only truth left, Lantern… and Oa has forgotten it, they need to be reminded of that."

The Lantern's grin widened as the familiar red glow enveloped his fist once more. Behind him, others began to laugh, to shout, to test their restored power against the walls of their prison.

Scar's smile was the smallest thing in the room, yet it was the most dangerous. "Now…" she said softly, her voice carrying like a whisper in a cathedral, "lay ruin here in Oa. As much as you can."

The green corridors erupted into light, screams, and the shattering of emerald constructs. Scar simply turned away, hands folded behind her, and walked deeper into the chaos she had unleashed. savoring every note of it.

She reached the far end of the corridor, the glow of combat flickering across the curved walls behind her. A faint smile tugged at her lips, the kind born out of satisfaction.

"Every loss here… will serve its purpose," she murmured to herself, voice barely audible.

"They will not be truly lost… but transformed. Their bodies will linger, awaiting the night that calls them home."

EARTH – CENTRAL CITY

Hal Jordan and Barry Allen were sitting on a bench in Central City's park, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the pavement. Barry was animatedly telling a story about his latest speedster mishap, hands waving as he recalled narrowly avoiding a collision a literal raccoon. Hal laughed, the easy camaraderie of old friends washing over him.

"Only you, Barry, could turn a near-disaster with a raccoon into a full-blown story. Your powers are as ridiculous as your stories Afterall." Hal said with a grin.

Barry grinned, shaking his head. "Hey, it was seriously close. Nature's curveballs don't come with warning signs. One more step, and I'd have been looking at a very, very mashed raccoon."

Suddenly, a sharp glow pulsed from Hal's Green Lantern ring. The warm light fractured across his knuckles, pulsing insistently. Hal's amusement faded, his eyes narrowing as he instinctively brought his hand up to inspect the glowing symbol.

"What now?" Barry asked, his smile faltering as he noticed the sudden change in Hal's demeanor.

Hal's eyes widened, a flicker of disbelief and urgency flashing within them. "Oa… it's under attack," he said, voice low but edged with alarm.

Barry's brow furrowed. "Oa? Isn't That place supposed to be impenetrable?"

Hal shook his head and he stood up urgently, clenching his jaw. "Not anymore.. Someone infiltrated and released the prisoners of the Sciencells... I must go now and defend Oa."
