Chapter 29 - Changes

For the rest of the day, Leon slept peacefully, however within his body, it was a whole different case as a mysterious power swept through his very DNA and cells changing all it could.

The Next day,

A young man could be seen sitting before a small window, with a cup of water in his hands and a small bar of chocolate. Leon sat as he stared at the birds that flew by, the people that were passing and all but strangely he didn't feel as though he was watching them.

"There really was no difference" Leon noted as he continued staring at the people that were going about their day.

He didn't feel smarter, nor did he feel any more different from before, however he had woken up today with an insatiable hunger that had disappeared the moment he took the bar of chocolate.

He woke up feeling like he could devour the entire planet but somehow a single piece of chocolate had done the job, this was the main part that Leon found weird but still decided to let it go.

He couldn't feel any change despite having been awake for over three hours now. He had checked the tattoo multiple times, and it was drawn right yet there was no effect.

Deciding not to waste any more time wallowing in his failure, he decided to go do other things, he quickly got into the shower and freshened up for the day,

As he bathed, Leon found his mind generating ideas out of nowhere, it was as though his imagination was running wild as he imagined the characters come to life and begin to interact with each other

It was a weird experience, but Leon found himself enjoying it as he mentally noted down storylines, and such like that.

Immediately after he came out, Leon found the book and pen and instantly began scribbling down any ideas he generated. From the way he saw it, he might actually have the chance of becoming a billionaire through this.

After a while, he was staring at a storyline with plot line that was so interconnected that even he was amazed by his storyline.

"Unfortunately an online auction is not possible for something like this" Leon said as he dropped his pen after inking down another storyline focusing on a vastly different genre

He didn't know how he was doing it but his mind was both coming up with storylines but also thinking about the auction as well as how best to come up with very good structure for a new business he was thinking of.

"Wait, should we even hold the auction here in America… wouldn't the taxes be too much?" Leon suddenly stopped as his thoughts went to that side

America was known for its impressively high taxes so it was almost guaranteed that he would vex when he saw the resulting income from the auction.

He was of Swiss origin and though he had no intent to find his parents, he could use that to his advantage to weave some of the taxes.

"Come to think of it, should I really keep the name Games Workshop when I am starting with writing… maybe I should start with gaming" Leon thought

His mind switching between simultaneous thought processes as though he was just flipping a switch. It was weird but strangely not in any way disorienting as he thought it would be

"Wait, doesn't this mean that the tattoo worked" Leon said aloud realizing why his thoughts seemed fragmented yet completed all at once.

Finally, dressed up, Leon sat back down as he began to access the changes that had occurred

His mind felt sharper, and he could feel that his thoughts ran faster. There was the most obvious change that allowed him to hold multiple parallel thoughts at once.. He was currently running at 5 counting his current one.

These were the major changes that he noticed and were way more than good enough, he didn't know how the other abilities of a qubit would manifest on him but for now, he believed he had it all.

Turning to the book before him, Leon immediately picked up his car keys and quickly left the house for the nearest electronic store.

He purchased a full PC as well as a laptop for portability, he also purchased some books on programming and a few others that he felt were interesting. '

Yes, reading was boring but then when you had a mind like his, it strangely becomes interesting. Leon spent the next few hours moving from store to store as he purchased what he needed and more

Afterward he returned to his room to set them all up. The auction wasn't for another month, so he had the time to spend on this for now, at least.
