Hearing the sound of the motorcycles Dante couldn't help but feel like lady luck was truly against him.
Glancing at Susan he couldn't help but wonder why this scene seemed similar.
At the same time,Susan saw Dante staring at her causing her to wonder why he was looking at her like that.
Before she could ask though five motorcycles suddenly rushed out as the raced towards the underground exit.
At the same time the zombies that were wandering all around aimlessly suddenly acted like they been injected with a lot of energy as they turned ferocious in an instant.
Snarling they chased after the speeding motorcycles with a speed that was no way inferior to the motorcycles causing the motorcycles to try to shake them off as they bashed then out of their way.
"What?"
Seeing this both Jason and Susan exclaimed in surprise as they noticed something.
The zombies weren't this fast the previous day!
Dante on the other hand wasn't surprised as this was perfectly normal. Zombies were creatures that were constantly evolving and becoming powerful was their nature so it wasn't much of a surprise to him.
Right when he saw the zombies chase after the motorcycles he noticed that the left side of the parking lot was free of the zombies.
This was their chance!
Jason, Susan follow me closely.
Before he had even finished his sentence he was already sprinting towards the exit. The duo wasted no time as they followed him.
At the same time one of the motorcyclists also noticed Dante's little group and they were infuriated. They were being chased by zombies while these people used them as distraction.
Immediately they tried to direct the zombies towards Dante's direction.
"Hey you sneaky bastards!"
" Wait up!"
"Don't run and face these zombies!"
Seeing this Dante wa speechless he'd be stupid to stay back and fight the zombies.
Were only tapping from your grace brother!
Nevertheless, the zombies also noticed them and some of them instantly chased after them. Seeing this Dante felt like vomiting blood as he gave a death stare to the group of bikers.
However there was nothing he could do as the zombies had already arrived leaving him with no choice but to take out his Resonant chain blade.
Jason and Susan also turned around to fight as they pulled out their weapons.
Jason was still wielding the baseball bat while Susan had changed into a fire axe she picked along the way.
"DUCK!"
Just when the two were about to rush forward they suddenly heard Dante yell out at them.
Instinctively they both bent down and the next moment an explosion shook the whole underground chamber.
BOOM.
The zombies that were in a four meter radius around them were all obliterated from the waist up leaving only the stumps remaining.
Looking at the destruction before them their mouths hung low.
"What the hell are you guys looking at ,run!"
Without wasting time Dante had already bolted towards the entrance.
As he was running he couldn't help but laugh. This was the first time he was using the electromagnetic grenades and he had to say they packed a punch!
Unlike normal grenades, the electromagnetic grenades used an electric pulse that had been compressed to a crazy level before releasing it. While he wasn't sure about how it worked he was pretty satisfied with the results so far.
"Damn it!"
The motorcyclists were also stunned senseless when they say the explosion. Although they were far the shockwave still reached them and one of them even lost control of their bike causing the unfortunate fellow to be torn apart by the zombies.
Seeing this their leader gritted his teeth. They were a biker gang who used to come to Brayden's campus to flex off their skill and attract girls.
They were having a nice time with some girls yesterday when the apocalypse happened.
He had lost nearly all his brothers leaving g aonly this five yet when they were about to escape he lost one of his brother to those monsters again all thanks to those students.
Immediately, he pulled out a pistol and aimed at Dante. He was the cause of the explosion thus his first target,anyway it wasn't like anyone would know that he was the one that killed him.
Without hesitation he pulled the trigger.
To his extreme shock though he suddenly saw the boy raise two weird looking objects up causing the bullet to bounce away.
Before he could wonder what the object was a zombie had already grabbed his hand when he wasn't paying attention.
Then next moment he was dragged off the vehicle into the midst of the zombies as his miserable wails rent the air.
"Phew that was close."
Keeping the Killmonger's bone blade he heaced a sigh of relief. Thankfully he had acted fast or else the bullet would have injured him.
Right then they finally left the underground and immediately a group of zombies appeared in front of them.
Without hesitation Dante immediately tossed out an electromagnetic bomb tearing the approaching zombies zombies to pieces.
He was falling in love with these things!
Hiding behind an overturned car the trio paused to catch their breath.
"So we're headed to where now?"
Jason asked as he panted hard. All that running had left him breathless. Susan too was also tired.
His main goal had been to leave the mall and head to the central research lab which was just a few miles away from here this he simply told him.
"The central lab? Why are you going there?"
" Huh…I once worked there and I kept some things there that I need to retrieve."
Nodding the two simply started tiredly. Maybe it was because this side of the mall was far away from the main bustling areas hence the relative lack of zombies. However there were still the occasional one or two that came over only to be killed by either one of the trio.
After resting for a while Dante stood up while lookin
g in the direction of the Research lab.
"Let's go."
