"I am capable, Isaac. Those are only mild actions, these injuries are not affecting me."
I try to persuade Isaac to let me handle the work, except that he is standing on his ground so firmly that not a word is able to waver him. In a severe tone he gives his order, "Stand back. I have no vacancy to take care of a patient here."
When Isaac finally places the heavy tray on top of the countertop, I guess he is convinced to let me handle some work. Unexpectedly, the next thing he does is spin the big round button of the television and switch it on. Then, he grabs my arm and sits me in the chair closest to the television. He suggests, "Watch some shows if you must look for something to do."
"But…"
Before I am able to come up with a new method to convince Isaac, he once again picks up the tray and walks to the back of the barista counter. Trying to ignore me, Isaac turns the faucet on to the strongest, in order to let the sound of the splashing water cover my voice.
