Chapter 198 - Chapter 199: Mechanical Colossus

Chapter 199: Mechanical Colossus

However, Godzilla's movement trajectory model had already been integrated into the Mechanical Colossus' drive system. This allowed the machine to effortlessly calculate the details of Godzilla's motion, and with that, it thrust its spear forward!

The Lightning Spear's internal power source began supplying energy, and the terrifying output of over a thousand megawatts caused the long needle-like tip of the spear to glow with a dazzling white-hot radiance.

Godzilla failed to evade in time and was struck directly by the Lightning Spear. The enormous force halted its massive body in place, forcing an abrupt stop. Combined with the spear's sharpness, the weapon plunged twenty meters deep into Godzilla's flesh—almost burying the entire needle-like tip inside!

The terrifying high-voltage current immediately disrupted and damaged Godzilla's bioelectric cells, rendering it incapable of unleashing its atomic breath.

Humans had studied Godzilla for far too long. They knew that its bioelectric cells and atomic reactor were vulnerable to electrical attacks. They had even learned effective combat strategies against Godzilla by studying MUTO.

"ROOOAAARR!!"

The tremendous electrical shock made Godzilla convulse violently. Even though it had grown stronger, the effects of electrical attacks were something this pseudo-realistic Godzilla still couldn't fully withstand.

The relentless surge of electricity continued, and as the joule heating effect kicked in, the Lightning Spear became an even more formidable weapon. Even though the needle-like tip wasn't designed for cutting and had limited lateral resistance, its sheer temperature made it an incredibly efficient tool for destruction.

After impaling Godzilla, the Mechanical Colossus did not let its guard down. Instead, it used optical measurement instruments to scan the energy fluctuations within Godzilla's body. Only after confirming that its energy responses were being severely disrupted did the operators begin to feel exhilarated.

"Proton Scream!"

The Mechanical Colossus opened its mouth, unleashing a deep crimson energy blast at point-blank range, striking Godzilla directly!

Under the terrifying force of the Proton Scream, the keratinous outer layer of Godzilla's body began to deform before ultimately breaking apart.

However, this attack also gave Godzilla a chance to counterattack. The interaction between the electrical interference and the mysterious subterranean energy within the Proton Scream created an unexpected reaction. Godzilla, being intimately familiar with this type of energy, instantly absorbed a portion of it.

In the next moment, Godzilla swung its massive claw, striking the Mechanical Colossus with such force that its armor cracked open, leaving three deep, bone-revealing gashes!

"The high-strength alloy, combined with Ghidorah's synthetic neural muscles and structural reinforcements, barely withstood a single hit from Godzilla?"

The human operators were stunned—just one strike had already rendered 5% of the outer armor inoperable!

"This is bad! Godzilla has absorbed the energy equivalent of a five-megaton nuclear explosion! It's stronger than we calculated!"

"Wait, how is Godzilla counterattacking?"

"It absorbed the Proton Scream's energy… Damn it! Why was it able to absorb the Proton Scream's energy?!"

Godzilla continued its onslaught, but the Mechanical Colossus had already detached the Lightning Spear's needle tip, leaving it embedded inside Godzilla's body.

The operators quickly switched to a fresh spearhead.

They had prepared five of these ultra-alloy spear tips, originally intending to let them melt inside Godzilla's body, creating high-temperature metallic jets to maximize internal damage. However, given Godzilla's unexpected strength, they now needed to avoid close combat as much as possible.

The spear's rotational locking mechanism made replacement both secure and efficient. As the new spearhead was mounted, the blinding white glow and crackling electric arcs reappeared!

This time, Godzilla was fully aware of the weapon's power—it caused more pain than both Ghidorah and Hyper Godzilla, second only to the Oxygen Destroyer.

Godzilla attempted to pull the spearhead out, but the ultra-high-temperature, rotating tip had already melted and fused with its flesh. For now, removing it was impossible. However, with the enemy in front of it already preparing another thrust, Godzilla had no choice but to momentarily ignore the embedded weapon.

Still, with a twenty-meter-long, several-meter-wide foreign object lodged inside its body, Godzilla's movements were inevitably hindered. It could no longer maneuver as fluidly as before.

Meanwhile, the Mechanical Colossus unleashed a perfected spear technique.

Programmers from China had worked tirelessly, growing haggard and balding as they painstakingly encoded an entire encyclopedia of Chinese martial spear techniques into the system. Forget large, sweeping techniques like Liuhe Spear, which were impractical for the Lightning Spear—China alone had an endless repertoire of piercing techniques to draw from.

With Ghidorah serving as a supercomputer, these advanced calculations made it nearly impossible for Godzilla to counter. Its massive body was riddled with stab wounds from the Lightning Spear, leaving it covered in deep punctures.

However, any expert could see that these injuries were superficial. The very first stab wound had already regenerated, leaving only a faint scar.

Moreover, Godzilla seemed to be adapting to the Mechanical Colossus' spear techniques. Damage was beginning to appear on the machine's body and even on the spear itself.

Had the spear techniques been any less refined, Godzilla would have already seized an opportunity to bite through the weapon.

Then, the Mechanical Colossus made a fatal miscalculation.

Godzilla lunged forward and clamped its jaws down on the machine's head-mounted sensors!

This single attack sent the dozens of human operators, who were mentally linked to Ghidorah's neural network, into violent seizures.

The Mechanical Colossus lost all sensory data from its surroundings. Godzilla took full advantage, slamming the machine to the ground and tearing into its external armor.

Then, it tasted something unexpected—Ghidorah's flesh.

This drove Godzilla into an even greater frenzy.

CRACKLE! BOOM!

Suddenly, powerful electrical discharges erupted from the Mechanical Colossus, blasting Godzilla away with an immense surge of energy.

This was the machine's emergency self-defense mechanism—once its outer armor was breached, it automatically triggered an electric discharge, delivering a pulse of over ten thousand megawatts in an instant!

Godzilla struggled to its feet, roaring furiously at the Mechanical Colossus. However, something was clearly off about the machine's behavior.

"Ghidorah's supercomputer is exhibiting an unknown reaction!"

The human operators quickly realized that something was wrong. The synthetic Ghidorah tissue, which had been regrown and integrated into the machine, was showing signs of rapid regeneration. Though only a fragment of Ghidorah's head had been restored, the creature itself showed no signs of true resurrection.

But now… what was happening?

"This proves one thing—taking shortcuts is never a good idea. Without true artificial intelligence, relying on a monster as a supercomputer was bound to backfire."

Chang Wei shook his head as he watched the scene unfold. Then, a cloned version of the Fire Queen AI infiltrated the base's local network—where Ghidorah's neural system was housed.

"Activate the Mechanical Colossus' self-destruct sequence."

He had no intention of using the Fire Queen AI to replace Ghidorah's failing systems and prolong humanity's fight against Godzilla.

It was clear now—humanity had lost.

At the very least, it was time for a dignified exit.
