Chapter 194 - Chapter 195: The Great Brawl

Chapter 195: The Great Brawl

Mechagodzilla is undoubtedly one of the most iconic monsters in the Godzilla series. As a man-made kaiju, it has garnered significant popularity over the years.

When Chang Wei was a child, he had a Mechagodzilla figurine, though he didn't know what it was back then.

In the MonsterVerse, Mechagodzilla was developed by APEX Cybernetics with the concept of "giving humanity the power to defend itself and even counter the Titans dominating the Earth."

APEX's CEO, Walter Simmons, called it "our Apex Titan," with the ultimate goal of eradicating all Titans led by Godzilla and reclaiming humanity's position at the top of the ecological hierarchy.

Its basic design was modeled after Godzilla, the most powerful Titan who had ascended to the throne of Monster King. Everything from its appearance to its weaponry was designed with the clear intent of opposing Godzilla.

But this time, things were different—perhaps because of Chang Wei's influence.

They didn't create Mechagodzilla. In fact, the Mechagodzilla project was scrapped entirely.

Instead, they created a god.

A Mechanical Colossus, or rather, a Mechanical Titan!

The energy problem was also resolved, though Chang Wei had nothing to do with that. It was purely driven by humanity's desperation, madness, and survival instinct. Without relying on Kong as a guide, they ventured into the Hollow Earth and obtained energy samples from its core.

And thus, the Mechanical Colossus was born.

At first, Chang Wei had assumed it was Mechagodzilla. But when he finally saw it with his own eyes, he was stunned.

Then, he burst into laughter.

"Instead of mimicking Godzilla, you're mimicking me?"

He was genuinely surprised and even amused—not because his power was acknowledged, but because humanity had finally stopped imitating Titan Beasts. Though the operating system still originated from Ghidorah… Wait a minute—Ghidorah had already become "Ghidorah-chan," and they were still able to use it?!

Humanity's plan was straightforward: Mechanical Colossus would be the mantis stalking the cicada, while they would be the oriole behind the mantis.

They planned to let Legendary Godzilla and Ghidorah-Godzilla battle it out, then swoop in to clean up the mess!

After all, even if they had full confidence in their Mechanical Colossus, it couldn't possibly take on hundreds of Ghidorah-Godzilla at once. So, they had no choice but to bet on Godzilla.

Let Godzilla and the other kaiju fight first, and humanity would step in to finish the job!

Meanwhile, the battle between Legendary Godzilla and the Ghidorah-Godzilla raged on.

Godzilla activated the neutron flux within his body. The energy traveled through the fragmented dorsal plates, channeling into the fusion chamber in his throat, where it detonated into a directed atomic breath.

His eyes and the countless pores around his glowing scales (the cracks in his molten-textured skin) pulsed with blue light, just as he unleashed his atomic breath.

Through this extraordinary process, Godzilla's roar became one of the most destructive forces in nature.

Both monsters unleashed their atomic breaths again, but this time, they struck each other's bodies directly instead of colliding in midair. The result?

Both suffered devastating injuries.

Gigantic, gruesome wounds appeared on their bodies.

Ghidorah-Godzilla roared and kept advancing, its injuries regenerating rapidly.

Legendary Godzilla, however, was struggling. Unlike the Hybrid variant, he feeds on nuclear radiation, sustaining himself for millions of years by absorbing geothermal radiation from the Earth's core.

While Godzilla can heal by absorbing radiation, his regeneration rate depends on the severity of his injuries.

For example, after the Battle of San Francisco, he recovered quickly—likely by absorbing radiation from the detonated atomic bomb off the coast.

However, it took him five years to fully heal from the injuries inflicted by MUTO.

He was also nearly killed by the Oxygen Destroyer, only managing to recover immediately after being exposed to a nuclear explosion at point-blank range.

When Mothra was obliterated by Ghidorah's gravity beams, Godzilla absorbed her life force, greatly enhancing his power.

But now, Legendary Godzilla's regeneration was slowing down. Both his atomic breath and previous healing efforts had drained a significant amount of energy.

His cells were still weaker than Japanese Godzilla's, which possessed absurd regeneration.

If this were Japanese Godzilla, he could stand still, take the hits, and not only survive—but grow even stronger and more indestructible.

Recognizing this, Legendary Godzilla stopped using atomic breath.

He had never favored that attack style to begin with.

His combat techniques were modeled after bears and Komodo dragons—both of which possess powerful jaws and teeth but rely primarily on their forelimbs and claws in battle.

Overall, this version of Godzilla had a contrasting fighting style compared to previous incarnations. He preferred close combat, engaging foes head-on rather than relying on atomic breath or ranged attacks.

And so, he charged forward.

Ghidorah-Godzilla, having inherited Godzilla's genetic influence, also abandoned energy attacks and lunged forward.

"BOOM!!!"

The collision between these two colossal titans triggered a magnitude-7 earthquake.

Legendary Godzilla staggered backward for a moment, then let out a deep roar and charged again.

"Still not activating Burning Mode?"

Chang Wei mused.

At this point, Godzilla should have enough energy to enter Burning Godzilla form.

This version of Burning Mode differed from other series—it wasn't a suicidal, last-resort transformation but a power boost activated whenever sufficient energy was available.

But seeing how much Godzilla was enjoying the fight, clashing violently with Ghidorah-Godzilla, biting and hurling it over a thousand meters, Chang Wei sighed.

At this rate, how long would it take to eliminate hundreds of Ghidorah-Godzilla?

Fortunately, Chang Wei had already noticed something.

Godzilla's roars and imposing presence had been registered by the other Ghidorah-Godzilla.

Legendary Godzilla: "I am the Alpha. I am the King of All That Exists!"

Ghidorah-Godzilla x333: "The hell you are! Get him!"

And just like that, the second Ghidorah-Godzilla emerged from the ocean.

Meanwhile, Legendary Ghidorah was still brawling with another Ghidorah-Godzilla—only to get blasted in the back by an Atomic Gravity Beam!

"BOOOOOM!!!"

The devastating attack nearly brought Legendary Godzilla to his knees, but he powered through and turned furiously—only to see yet another Ghidorah-Godzilla approaching.

At the same time, the one he had been fighting bit into his shoulder.

And it didn't stop there.

A third Ghidorah-Godzilla descended from the sky!

Now, Legendary Godzilla was up against three of them at once.

Each one was an incredibly formidable opponent.

But this ancient warrior was as old as the Earth itself.

A veteran of countless battles, he would not falter.
