"No! I'm so close to unlocking Akira's Romantic Ending!!!" A sharp cry escaped my mouth as I agonized over the fact that I was so close yet so far from unlocking the RomanticEnding.
[Current Diamonds Owned: 0]
I dedicated endless hours to playing My Dark Utopia and completing all the endings of the five love interests (the Sakai Brothers) to unlock the secret love interest (Akira) wasted! Countless weeks of grinding levels, participating in-game events, and purchasing game packs to earn diamonds wasted!
Why am I such an idiot? I shouldn't have spent my remaining diamonds on Akira's Limited-Time Dark Prince Outfit! But he looks so good in it, and I will regret it if I don't get it for him!
I want to buy the 300 diamonds so badly right now, but I'm broke! I have already spent most of my pay on other games, manga, and novels. I can't use the rest of my pay to buy the diamonds, or I will have nothing to eat but cup noodles until my next payday.
This agony is killing me! Why am I not rich? If I'm rich, I can buy all the romance games, manga, and novels I want.
"Erika, can you please stop flailing your arms already? You almost hit me, and the backseat is not big enough for your crazy flailing." Saya, my big sister, looked at me annoyingly.
Erika thought she was silently crying to herself inside. In Saya's eyes, she was flailing her arms, stomping her feet, and making weird noises through her mouth like crazy.
"Sorry, sis. I'm just upset". I sheepishly apologized to Saya.
"Let me guess. You are acting crazy because you splurged all your money on one of your games again". Saya looked at me in disapproval, and I quickly avoided her gaze out of guilt.
"Well... Not all of it. I wouldn't call that splurging, I'm gathering inspiration for my ultimate romance novel!"
"More like gathering inspiration for your non-existent romance novel".
"I'm working on it! Can't you cut me some slack?"
"Saya is right about your spending, and you shouldn't play games in the car. You're going to use up all your data and rack up your phone bill". My mom turned around and began to lecture me.
"Mom, not you too!" I screamed in protest, and Saya and Mom shook their heads at me.
How dare they lecture me! They spend a portion of their pay on horror novels and magical girl goods as well. I want to tell them off so badly, but it's also true that the amount they spent on horror and magical girl goods is way less than mine.
"This is so frustrating! Why do you guys not understand my love for romance and passion to write the ultimate romance novel?" I cried out in frustration, and they shook their heads once again.
I let out a deep sigh, "If there is a God or Goddess of Transmigration, I wish they would send me into a World of Romance..."
"Yeah, yeah, if they do exist. I wish they would send me into a World of Horror". Saya said mockingly.
"Hahaha, if they do exist, I wouldn't mind if they send me and your dad into a World of Magic". My mom chuckled softly.
[Ding! The required threshold has been reached, transmigration to the World of Stereotypical Romance will commence in 10, 9, 8...]
A monotone voice resembling a system echoed through the car, and I quickly looked around to find the source of the voice.
"Hey, did you guys hear that?"

"Look up front!!!" Saya screamed in horror, and I widened my eyes at the oncoming truck speeding straight towards us.
"Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!! BANG!!!" The truck collided with our car with full force, causing the entire vehicle to spin out of control like a broken merry-go-round. My dad desperately gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white, and stepped on the brake pedal rapidly with all his might to regain control. However, his efforts were futile; the car continued to spin uncontrollably until it crashed into the guardrails.
The glass shattered into a thousand tiny shards as all the airbags deployed to cushion the impact, and a thick black smoke came pouring out from the car's hood.
Intense pain coursed through my entire body from the collision as if someone had taken a bat and relentlessly broken all the bones in my body. I slowly opened my mouth to call out to my family, but not a single sound emerged.
"Cough! Cough!" Saya coughed out a mouthful of blood, staining her white blouse before losing consciousness. I tried to use the last ounce of my strength to call out to my critically injured family, but my desperate attempt was in vain.
My body feels heavier with each passing minute, and every breath I take burns my lungs like fire. My vision is getting blurry.... I want to sleep....
