Reynara stared at Luna's body hovering in the air because of her magic. Luna's eyes had lost their once beautiful golden shine—now, they just floated in the air, lifelessly.
No, Luna hadn't died.
Her mind had simply locked itself into the world Reynara had created for her.
Reynara walked towards her slowly, then, she placed her forehead on hers and stayed in that position for a long while without saying anything.
Maybe she was checking on the world Luna was sent to and whether she was truly happy in there or not.
Once she was done, she brought Luna's body inside the temple, into the sacred chamber she had created for dreamers like her.
There, she placed Luna on a bed of soft white feathers, covered her in silk, and then kissed her forehead.
"Come back to me… when you're ready."
She whispered softly, her voice laced with love and care.
Then, the Kitsune Guardian closed the crystal lid of the chamber, the look on her face changing.
