South of Fuchsia City, on the beach.
Because Dragonite had gone berserk and attacked this area last night, even though the situation had been resolved, few people dared to come here to relax today.
However, at this location now stood a girl in a light blue dress on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and seemingly waiting for someone.
"Green, sorry to keep you waiting. Let's go."
When Eddie arrived, he saw her slightly lonely figure and felt a pang of guilt, but at that moment he could only walk over and greet Green.
"Oh my, after having so much fun with her, did you finally remember poor little me - Green, the one nobody wants?"
Green still wore a smiling expression, but her words made Eddie feel embarrassed and unsure how to respond.
"Alright, stop looking so dejected. You're making me feel like I did something terrible to you."
Green looked at Eddie's bitter expression, but she simply chuckled, placed her hands behind her back, tilted her head, and smiled gently.
Eddie couldn't tell whether Green, with her Oscar-worthy acting skills, was genuinely smiling or just forcing it.
"I don't understand her completely, but since she doesn't seem to want to discuss it, I won't step on that landmine."
Eddie had no choice but to silently decide not to mention anyone else for now.
"Ahem, sorry for keeping you waiting. Let's head out now."
Eddie took out the Luxury Ball that Misty had given him and tossed it gently.
"Lapras!"
A relatively large Lapras appeared before Eddie and Green, then nuzzled Eddie's head affectionately.
Name: Lapras
Type: Water/Ice
Ability: Water Absorb (Pokemon with this ability are immune to Water-type moves. When hit by Water-type moves, they recover a small amount of HP)
Level: 50 (Gym Leader Level)
Potential: Elite
Held Item: Never-Melt Ice (Ice that resists heat. When held, increases the power of Ice-type moves)
"Oh! It's a Lapras. I thought you would use Dragonair to cross the ocean, dear."
"Dragonair is known as the most comfortable Pokemon for ocean travel. Why aren't you using one, dear?"
When Green saw the Lapras, she asked in confusion, as if she didn't understand why Eddie chose Lapras instead of Dragonair.
Just as Eddie was about to respond, Green seemed to remember something and began explaining herself.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Honey, you promised to send Dragonair back to Pallet Town. I guess we should send it back now. No wonder you're using Lapras instead."
Green simply finished the explanation Eddie had prepared, saving him the trouble of explaining himself.
"Lapras!"
As soon as Green finished speaking, Lapras turned to look at her and opened its mouth.
"Hmm? There's a letter in your mouth?"
After Green noticed Lapras open its mouth, she discovered a letter inside.
Judging by Lapras's behavior, it was offering the letter to Green.
"I see. This Lapras is a gift from your girlfriend, isn't it?"
When Green saw this, she immediately understood that this Lapras wasn't a Pokemon Eddie had caught himself. She looked at Eddie with a knowing expression and took the letter.
In this situation, this Lapras was obviously sent by Misty to Green.
As for why she didn't have Eddie deliver it to Green directly, it was probably because she didn't want to put Eddie in an awkward position.
Of course, there might also have been the reason that she didn't want Eddie to peek at the letter's contents.
Eddie understood some of Misty's intentions upon seeing this and simply smiled without saying anything.
He felt it would be inappropriate to say anything at this moment, so he remained quiet to avoid further embarrassment later.
"Let me see. Since she sent this to me in this manner, then dear, you probably shouldn't read this letter. Now then, dear, could you please do something else?"
"I know. Go over there and admire the ocean view."
After Green finished speaking with a smile, Eddie consciously walked to the other side and gazed into the distance.
Ocean view? What a joke - he was about to cross the sea anyway, so he'd see plenty of ocean views. He might as well just look at the beach for now.
"Hehe, you're being considerate. Let me see what the Cerulean City Gym Leader wants to tell me."
Green was actually prepared to be mocked at this point. After all, Misty had claimed Eddie the night before, so it would be natural for her to gloat as the victor.
She didn't know Misty very well, so this was all she could assume for now.
However, things weren't as she had expected.
There were no sarcastic words in the letter, nor any demands for Green to leave Eddie alone.
There were only two short sentences written on the white paper.
"You'd better not worry about other women. A man like him won't be tied down by any single woman."
"But you don't want more competition, right? I'll leave him to you for now. If any new women show up, you'll need to stop them."
BY: Your sister, Misty
"Oh, so you were reluctant, but you succeeded first anyway."
These two brief sentences and the signature were filled with Misty's contradictory emotions.
The first sentence was telling Green that Eddie wouldn't be bound by just one or two women, meaning that both Eddie and Green would never lack female company.
After all, for such a powerful and charming man, it was impossible that women wouldn't be drawn to him, regardless of whether he already had partners.
But the second sentence revealed some of Misty's reluctance. Even if Eddie wouldn't belong to just one or two of them, nobody wanted additional competition. More women would mean less time spent with Eddie - who could accept that?
So Misty was telling Green to keep watch during the time she spent with Eddie, and to block any approaching women to reduce the possibility of gaining more rivals.
The final signature simply expressed Misty's acknowledgment of Green.
Now that everything was out in the open, she was accepting the fact that they would eventually become something like sisters.
"Don't worry. Nobody likes having too much competition, even if Eddie is truly exceptional."
Green folded the letter and spoke softly.
She looked toward Eddie and saw his profile as he gazed at the seaside.
"This is quite the popular man. It would be good to have fewer rivals."
Green walked toward Eddie with her usual smiling expression.
"Green, are you ready? Let's go... mmph!"
Green smiled sweetly and embraced Eddie, cutting off his words with a kiss.
"Why have I been getting kissed so suddenly these past few days?"
This was what Eddie was thinking during their passionate exchange.
But that didn't seem like such a bad thing, did it?
With that thought, Eddie wrapped his arms around Green and responded forcefully to her enticing lips.
On the Seafoam Islands, a Team Rocket leader was reporting with a communicator in hand.
"Master Koga, we have sufficient manpower here. We've nearly finished searching the entire island. Articuno cannot escape Team Rocket's grasp, so please rest assured and focus on your recovery."
"Recovery from my injury! I'm just recovering from my... No, I'm just taking a rest!"
Koga angrily scolded the Team Rocket leader who had misspoken, looking surprisingly energetic for someone supposedly recuperating.
The Team Rocket leader didn't dare to respond. He didn't want to make another mistake and face further blame.
"Ahem! Anyway, you all need to be more careful. You're the only location among the three operations without any officers supervising. If anything unexpected happens, report back to headquarters immediately. Understood?"
"Understood! Master Koga, leave this matter to us. You can rest assured and recover... ahem, you can rest assured!"
The Team Rocket leader nearly made the same mistake again, but fortunately caught himself and changed his words mid-sentence.
Koga knew that everyone was aware of his situation, so he just wanted to avoid discussing it openly. He couldn't be bothered with anything else, so he simply said a few words and ended the call.
"Damn that brat! He actually poisoned that Water Shuriken!"
"Is he a demon? Not only did he stab my kidney, he even poisoned the attack! If I weren't a poison specialist, I might have overlooked the toxin in all that severe pain."
Koga shouted with fury written across his face. He couldn't help but be enraged.
It would have been manageable if Eddie's Greninja had simply stabbed him during their battle at the Pokemon Tower. This world possessed advanced technology and extremely sophisticated medical treatment, so Koga's kidney injury was quickly healed.
However, after the treatment, he noticed something was wrong and felt increasingly weak.
His kidney had clearly been cured, and although he still experienced some pain from the aftereffects, it was just pain. So why did he still feel so weak?
Koga sensed something was amiss and underwent a thorough examination at Team Rocket headquarters.
The tests revealed that while his kidney had recovered from the injury after treatment, it was still continuously releasing certain toxins throughout his body. These toxins were the cause of his increasing weakness.
When others heard the news, Sabrina burst into laughter. She already knew who was responsible.
Koga naturally knew who had done it too. Known as "The Ninja," he was furious, cursing Eddie as a devil and swearing he would eliminate him the next time they met.
Nevertheless, now that the problem had been identified, the toxins in Koga's body could be treated quickly.
However, the aftereffects of his injury had changed from 'kidney pain' to 'general fatigue,' and therefore he wasn't participating in this operation. Giovanni had ordered him to remain at headquarters to recuperate.
"Koga, I know you want to contribute to Team Rocket, but in your current condition, if you encounter that boy again, do you think you could defeat him while your entire body feels weak?"
"Take proper care of your injuries. Only after you've fully recovered can you give your best effort to eliminate that kid. Do you understand?"
Giovanni came personally to comfort Koga, and the latter immediately felt he had followed the right leader, tears of gratitude streaming down his face toward Giovanni.
At the same time, he secretly vowed that the next time he encountered Eddie, he would definitely give him a thorough beating!
However, due to Koga's absence, the Seafoam Islands had lost an extremely important fighting force, so Giovanni arranged considerable manpower at this location to compensate for Koga's absence.
There were now a substantial number of Team Rocket members on the Seafoam Islands, and even the sub-leader possessed Gym Leader-level strength.
Although he had only recently achieved this breakthrough, his power level had already made him a senior operative below the top three executives. This was also why he could be directly responsible for the Seafoam Islands operation.
However, the Seafoam Islands was a massive cave system filled with many Ice-type Pokemon in the games, but in reality it was an enormous island. Even for Team Rocket, regardless of their numbers, it would take several days to search the entire island thoroughly.
After the sub-leader contacted Koga and gave his report, he suddenly felt an ominous premonition. This feeling appeared without any warning.
As a Gym Leader-level trainer, the sub-leader knew they needed to trust their intuition. This was something gained after becoming strong and practicing continuously - the ability to sense danger.
Therefore, feeling that something seemed wrong, he picked up the communicator again, but this time he wasn't contacting Koga - he was alerting everyone on the island.
"Notify everyone to accelerate the search. Articuno must be found within three days."
"Understood!"
The Team Rocket members responded quickly, and he nodded with satisfaction before releasing his main Pokemon, Muk.
"Come on, Muk. We need to speed up our search."
The sub-leader took Muk and began his search.
Meanwhile, at the beach near Fuchsia City.
After their passionate exchange, Eddie and Green climbed onto Lapras's back and finally set out to sea.
"So, if you didn't want to ride your own Blastoise and chose to ride Lapras with me instead, why are you sitting in my lap?"
Eddie looked at Green, who was positioned in his arms, and couldn't help but complain.
Logically speaking, as a healthy man, he wouldn't object to such arrangements.
But right now they were out at sea, and Green's soft body was shifting and moving in his arms. Of course he would get excited!
Eddie was now a man who had tasted intimacy, and his self-control was far worse than before. After all, after experiencing such pleasures, whether man or woman, people became increasingly covetous in this regard.
In the past, he would have thought Green's actions were just innocent teasing - at most he'd enjoy a small advantage - but now...
Eddie was certain that if this were happening on land, he would definitely find a place to deal with this girl immediately.
But unfortunately, they were at sea. He couldn't exactly use the sky as his roof and the ocean as his bed to ravish Green, could he?
Don't even mention it - with the sea breeze so cold, he really couldn't do such a thing.
So he felt rather uncomfortable now.
"What, can't control yourself? Okay, okay, let me rest in your arms for a while. I won't move anymore."
"Dear, if you really can't help it, I could help you with my hands..."
Green had a seductive look on her face and spoke in an alluring tone.
Eddie raised an eyebrow when he heard this and directly took Green's hand, placing it where he needed encouragement...
"How about it, boy Lance? Isn't he impressive?"
Bruno said to Lance on the beach near Fuchsia City.
"Indeed! A trainer like him is qualified to survive in the ideal world I'll create. Let's add him to the list. We'll approach him after the Indigo League tournament."
Lance looked at the departing Lapras with satisfaction. He felt that a trainer like Eddie was worthy of survival.
He had heard reports from Bruno and Agatha before, so he had come here specifically to test Eddie.
When he arrived in this sea area, he had spotted a Dragonite in the ocean that seemed a bit weak to him.
"This strength should be about right. Go test him."
Although he claimed it was troublesome, Lance actually didn't care about Dragonite's feelings at all. He directly used his draconic presence to drive Dragonite into a frenzy, causing it to attack Celadon City's beach.
"What if he refuses to help us?"
Lorelei nearby didn't quite agree with Lance's approach, or rather, she didn't think many people would participate in their plan.
After all, their plan involved destroying most of humanity.
"Refuses? Then we'll kill him!"
"If such a powerful trainer won't agree to help us, he'll definitely become our enemy. We can just eliminate him in advance!"
Lance snorted coldly, flicked his cape, released his massive Dragonite, mounted it, and flew away.
