It was the day of the meeting at the park house, and all of the elders were gathered there. They were waiting for the arrival of Bernard, Betal Gilbert, and most significantly, Elijah Simons.
After waiting for around ten to fifteen minutes, Bernard and Beta Gilbert arrived at the park house with some of their guards accompanying them. The remaining guards had been guided by Mason to carry out their duties by their plan.
There was no reason to be surprised by the fact that Bernard and his father would get to the park house ahead of Elijah Simons; but, the single most significant cause for fear and anxiety was the prospect of Elijah Simons accepting their offer.
As Bernard and his father made their way quietly to their seats, the elders greeted them and invited them to join them as they waited in expectation for Elijah Simons to join them.
