"What's wrong?" Jiang Nian asked.
Zhang Ningzhi shook her head, "Nothing."
After the early morning reading session ended, the class slumped over their desks.
Jiang Nian also wanted to rest his head for a while, but someone poked his arm. He turned his head to look, and Zhang Ningzhi handed him a bookmark.
The bookmark was mainly bright red with golden characters on the background, featuring a big "Pass" at the top.
In the blank platinum area in the middle, three neat little words were written in black pen: "Subject One."
Jiang Nian accepted it, thought for a moment, and said.
"Thanks, actually, I'm not a hundred percent confident either. With this thing, I can at least pray for divine intervention and might just get lucky."
Li Hua, who was initially asleep, couldn't help but laugh when he heard this. He immediately sat up from the desk with a puzzled look and asked.
