Chapter 101 - Chapter 101 - Tej's First Day in Ruslav

Third person POV

The next day, Tej's first day in Nuevo Tacloban began with him working his first part-time job in the capital city's only hospital with Ales. The hospital, with a Romanesque and Venetian Gothic style of architecture, was barely busy, with most patients and clients having only the most common ailments, such as fevers and colds. Tej learns his job with vigour and knows its systems and procedures, which also aligns with his Healing ability. His job involves detecting the kinds of illnesses of his patients and healing them to the best of his Healing ability. Then, he and Ales would prescribe medicine so the illnesses would die down and disappear. As for his monthly salary, it started at 100 Ruslav Pesos per month, but the living cost in Nuevo Tacloban was very cheap, and he was living in Ales' home, which was located within the wall of the castle and next to its medical wing. This was intentional by Ales, who had inherited it from his late father and ancestors, so he would access the castle easily without entering the gates of it.

And as promised, Basilio issued a healer's license for Tej. It had the basic information about him printed on that piece of sturdy cardboard that is slightly glossy and in the size of a credit card. Tej was overjoyed to have that and accepted it with gratefulness in his heart.

Meanwhile, Basilio went back to his work as a leader and was now doing his usual job. Though he was disappointed that his trade partnership with Kamal did not go as planned, he did become appreciative that he had seen its oppressive societal norms and even took in Tej to settle here in Ruslav. At the same time, Katsuko, Kahraman, and Viviana are now at school in Sárga Madár's prestigious academy, attending their classes, while Ormoc and Paulina went back to Pantano's northeast, Brot-Lyon Region, for their duties to prevent Vatrene from grabbing it for themselves.

And then, by week 1 of his life in the Central Continent, Tej started to join short medical missions in places like Akivin, Dacuinia and Fresa de Ard, Cinjutun, and Sárga Madár, Pantano and even in the battlefields in Pantano's Brot-Lyon Region, where he had witnessed the ongoing war with Vatrene. He saw that Paulina and Ormoc were among those who fought the Vatrene soldiers. The war was still ongoing because Vatrene refused to give up their quest to have the region for themselves.
