He remembered her big blue, inquisitive eyes as she looked up at him, her chin raised while he watched expectantly.
"Please be honest with me. Has Father sold me off, or is he just tired of my existence?" she had asked, and it was her turn to look at him with expectation.
Varon had sighed. When Selene had told him that she wanted to tell him something very secretive and personal, he had been scared, not sure of what to expect.
He offered her a sad smile.
"You know he loves you more than anything. He could never sell you off or be tired of you."
