The air in the heart of the Forest pack's territory hummed with a different kind of energy.
Here, the music was a melodic weave of flutes carved from polished river reeds and the gentle strumming of stringed instruments crafted from forest vines.
The music flowed through the gathering like the dappled sunlight filtering through the dense canopy above.
The central platform was illuminated by numerous softly glowing lanterns, their light casting long, shadows that mimicked the sway of the surrounding ancient trees.
The platform itself was adorned with woven tapestries depicting scenes of forest life – graceful deer leaping through sunlit glades, wise old owls perched on moss-covered branches, and the admirable dance of fireflies at dusk.
Alpha Axel, a figure as grounded and sturdy as the oldest oak in his forest, was seated beside Alpha Kylan. He had long grey hair and an even longer beard.
