Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 - Battle Royal and The Warrior and Magus Paths

"Uncle, I need your help."

Inside his office, Felix looked at a twelve year old Gryffindor with round glasses, messy black hair and thin build. The boy was his nephew Harry Potter who held a smile as he begged for help. So sitting down his pen, Felix began to pay attention to the boy before him.

"What happened?" Felix asked.

"Well, recently my friend Hermione has been hounding Ron and me when we are practicing how to duel. She says we are irresponsible and could get hurt. So I was wondering if you could help us so she stops nagging in our ears." Harry explained.

"Oh, are you two interested in entering the dueling tournaments? Angel entered one in her third year or was it fourth year when she was a student. I believe she won it too." Felix held his chin.

Due to not being raised by his aunt and uncle, Harry was more outgoing and interested in things outside of trying to be normal and quidditch. Felix had the unpleasant run in with Vernon Dursley one time in London. While wandering around a shop, his son ran into his leg and smeared frosty all over his leg. Instead of apologizing, the man had the gull to blame Felix for not moving out of his son's way.

"Actually, Ron and I were thinking of following in your footsteps and wandering the world after graduation for a few years. In many of the adventure stories you told, we thought knowing how to fight a bit would help us." Harry looked a bit embarrassed.

"Alright, but in exchange you need to help me with a magic experiment." Felix smiled.

Harry looked a bit startled at this request as he hesitated before nodding. Felix didn't understand why since most of his experiments weren't dangerous. If they were, he certainly wouldn't find a twelve year old boy to help, but John instead. That way if it exploded, they wouldn't die, but just get Angel nagging voice in their ears as she patched them up again.

"Thank you Uncle." Harry said.

"Meet me out by Hagrid's after lunch." Felix said, looking at the time.

--

Outside of Hagrid Hut, Felix looked at the empty ground beside it where he tested his automation and made a skate park during his school year. Much like when he was a student, there wasn't anything there. So crossing his arms, he began to plan about how to help Harry and Ron.

"I brought the golems." John said as he led a series of golems towards him. "Can I ask why you needed them and why you just didn't make them yourself?"

"My nephew and his friend want to go on an adventure after Hogwarts. So, at his request, I am helping them hone their defense ability." Felix said. "Now, I got the idea for the arena."

Raising his hand, a small illusionary arena appeared in his palm with the border being bushes and the interior shifting. Finally after a few moments, rocks were added and the ground either raised or lowered. Once he was satisfied, Felix tossed it before him toward the open ground and as a magic circle came to life, it appeared before him.

"I don't think his adventures will be as crazy as our later ones." John said. "After all, I don't think he will be messing with large and magical beasts that are considered legends and myths."

"Yeah, though why should we point that out?" Felix smiled as he rubbed his hands together. "This is a great chance to mess with them."

"Surely you didn't call me here just for that?" John sighed.

"Actually, I have an idea for something world changing." Felix replied. "I already enlisted Harry's help in exchange for this."

"This isn't linked to those Eldritch beings is it?" John sighed. "If it is, Angel is going to curse both of us."

"Nah, those beings left after seeing me. I guess they were curious who crafted something that connected to them." Felix shrugged unconcern.

John didn't comment as he felt only Felix had the confidence to really say that and actually mean it. He probably has some way or another to beat or seal away those beings and if his memories serve many of them has divination capabilities. So maybe a tactic agreement was reached if you don't with us and we don't mess with you.

"What have you created this time?" John asked.

"Well, not so much created. I pulled the idea from a fantasy book and decided to try and research it." Felix puffed out his chest proudly.

"What book?" John asked. "I want to read it."

"Well, there are sixteen years before it is written." Felix scratched the back of his head.

John did not give an impressive look, but didn't dwell on it. Only Felix would use seer abilities to read future fantasy novels. Others look for danger or large events, while he uses it to peek at future fantasy novels to read.

"Did it work?" John asked.

"Isn't that what the experiment is for?" Felix smiled mischiefly.

John grew curious and held out his hand while Felix placed his idea into his hand. After opening it up, John looked at the top which read "The Warrior and Magus Paths". The more he read, the more curious he became as it was fairly interesting.

"If this works, maybe your gift won't take such a toll on you." John said.

While Felix could peek at the paths longer than when he is longer, it still puts a burden on his body. Even after pushing his body to peak performance, it still took a toll on his body when he used it. So while Felix didn't really see a problem, others did.

"I will begin preparing to make the items to test one element and spirit force." Felix said. "Now, here the children come."

--

Felix stood on a large rock overseeing the arena alongside John. It was more to watch the fun as Harry and Ron entered the arena. Since it was only the two of them, it was a treasure hunt format as Felix had his phoenix Athena place a chunk of mithril he had laying around.

Harry and Ron moved a bit stiffly as they checked around each corner. Yet, after a couple minutes, when they weren't attacked or ran into a trap. Their guard lowered as they began to search much more relaxed.

"Where did their cautious actions go?" John scratched his head.

Due to using a bit of space magic when making it, Felix made the inside of the arena a bit bigger. So despite taking up a bit of space, the inside was much larger than it looks. Hence as the minutes ticked by, Harry and Ron haven't found the prize. Thus in exchange for caution they began roaming a bit carelessly.

"Here comes the first trap." Felix said.

Then Ron stepped on a certain part of the path before them. A large ramp appeared with a boulder rolling down it. Granted the boulder wouldn't actually hurt them since it is really squishy and fairly light. Felix just grinned as both Harry and Ron panicked and tried to run away after the few spells they knew didn't work.

Thanks to running, the next trap was triggered and a large mud pit appeared as they fell into it. Under the two amused eyes, they watched as Harry and Ron ran and entered various traps. By the time the two gave up, they didn't get near the prize, but were covered head to toe in mud and dirt.

Pulling out his wand, Felix gave both boys a quick tap cleaning them off and fixing up their clothes.

"So did you both have fun?" He asked as both boys nodded.

"That's great. Now it's nearly dinner, let's go."
