Once midnight rolled around Isolde glanced around her she needed to sneak away without being caught. A few knights were on watch but they were far enough away that they wouldn't notice her if she moved carefully. She quietly got up from her bedroll and made her way through the sleeping camp, her boots making soft sounds against the hard-packed earth. The fire had burned low, casting everything in deep shadows that helped to conceal her movements. She approached the edge of the clearing where Lorren had indicated they should meet. She already there, standing in the darkness with a small bundle clutched in her hands.
"You came," Lorren whispered as Isolde approached. "I wasn't sure if you would." Isolde nodded, her hands unsteady. "I was serious about finding my father." Lorren's face softened in the dim light. "I know you were. That's why I believe we can do this." She held up the bundle in her hands. "These are my notes."
