Chapter 340 - Chapter 341 - The First Civil War (IX)

"Aegon's Betrayal, as it became known only within House Targaryen and its Primarchs, was an event that occurred and shook everything. The beginning and end of a dark chapter in human history." Thoughts of Naerys Targaryen, the Holy Virgin.

------------------

"Aegon, I want those souls, please~." Slaanesh lay on Aegon's broad, strong chest; her voice was spoiled, sweet, and gentle, sounding like a demon whispering in the ear of Aenar's first male son.

Aegon frowned and asked in a confused tone. "Don't all souls go to the Warp after death? Why do you need souls?"

"You don't understand; souls go to the Warp, but they are decomposed into the purest psychic energy. They practically lose their taste; I want fresh souls with an absolutely delicious taste, especially from children."

Aegon's face did not change, not even with the mention of possible child sacrifices. What were mere children compared to the Ruby Throne? If Slaanesh wanted them, he would give them in exchange for more power. In his eyes, commoners were not human, just cattle to be slaughtered at his whim.

"Will anyone find out?" Aegon asked in a calm tone; he looked at his mechanical arm, and his expression grew colder. Even losing an arm, he thought it was worth it; the knowledge he gained was enough to increase the success rate by 2.5%!

Do not underestimate this number for being small, as it took him almost five hundred years to achieve a similar success rate! An arm was nothing if it saved him so much time.

And to reach this level, the number of dead slaves reached the terrible number of twenty-five million. Although compared to the number of 3.5 trillion humans, twenty-five million was nothing.

"Assuming your father or mother weren't nearby, others barely noticed anything abnormal." Slaanesh explained, kissing Aegon's lips while showing a lascivious smile. She was using the body of the Duke Lannister's daughter, a lady known for her elegance and education, but at that moment, there was a terrifying and lascivious smile on her face.

Aegon nodded, but warned in a solemn tone. "Stay away from the church; they are protected by my father's aura; he can observe any planet because of it. If he notices you, we will be in big trouble."

Aegon had no doubt that he would die if his involvement with a chaos god was discovered. His father wouldn't even need to lift a hand; his mother would spare his father from staining his hands with his own son's blood and would kill him.

As for doubting that Daenerys wouldn't kill him? Aegon would laugh at himself if he thought that. His mother wanted to kill him even before he was born because of his rebellious behavior; if she knew what was happening, she wouldn't even wait for her husband's decision and would kill him instantly.

"I know; I may be crazy, but being crazy doesn't mean I'm foolish." Slaanesh rolled her eyes and spoke with a terrifying smile full of sharp teeth. Her tongue, which resembled a snake's, slid over her purple-stained lips.

The mere thought that she would feast on the souls of Sagittarius Secundus made her face turn red with morbid and sick pleasure. Even in the face of such a terrifying scene, Aegon managed to feel attracted to Slaanesh.

On the other side, in the main room of the Gloriana-Class Battleship, Primarch Alpharius was without his helmet, revealing his hairless head and cold, silver eyes.

Surprisingly, next to him, an identical-looking man was reading with a calm expression.

If Alpharius's eyes were silver, Omegon's eyes were golden, and like his twin brother, he was also bald.

"That smell is disgusting." Alpharius's voice sounded almost like an angry growl. There was a very valid reason for his anger. The Prince of the Imperium of Humanity, Son of the God-Emperor of Humanity, was at that moment, having sex with the enemy on his ship!

"Control your feelings, brother." Omegon turned the page of the book, a rare thing in this space age, and spoke in a calm tone. Although the disgusting smell was also making him angry and furious.

"How dare he profane the sacred and eternal reputation of our father!!!" Alpharius didn't care about his twin brother's words and roared furiously. He wanted to enter the room where Aegon was staying and simply dismember him.

Other Primarchs besides Konrad could not smell the disgusting stench of the chaos gods, but the twin brothers' special ability was their extremely high and terrifying perception. So, for others, there was nothing wrong with the imperial ship, but for the twins, the smell was extremely bad.

Just imagine the worst smell someone could smell, multiply it by a thousand, and you wouldn't even come close to the smell that Alpharius and Omegon were feeling at that exact moment.

"Do you think our father doesn't know?" Omegon commented with a touch of sarcasm in his voice. If Aegon thought he was truly being discreet with his high treason, he would laugh in the prince's face.

Alpharius, being the man he was, quickly understood the implications of his twin brother's words. He sat down in the chair in front of his brother and showed a thoughtful look. All the anger on his face had disappeared.

"Our father's thoughts are too deep for us, mere mortals, to guess." After an hour of silence, Alpharius replied, still not understanding the purpose of the Emperor allowing this betrayal to happen.

"You are becoming arrogant, brother, trying to guess our father's thoughts, what audacity." Omegon commented with a laugh, but there was no malice in his voice, only the affection between brothers.

Alpharius found nothing wrong with Omegon's words and felt that he was indeed becoming arrogant for trying to guess what their father was thinking. The mind of a God was not something he could guess.

"However, since our father is allowing this, it means that a massive conspiracy is already underway. As for who the target of the conspiracy is, it couldn't be more obvious." Omegon said, narrowing his eyes.

The chaos goddess who was at that moment in the bed of Imperial Prince Aegon!

"That damn chaos goddess thinks she's untouchable; our father will show her who the master of malice in the universe is." Alpharius commented with a cold smile on his lips. If there was a race with more malice in its heart, it was the Human Race. Humans are masters of conspiracies.

"Still, we have to warn our father about Aegon's betrayal, even if it's unnecessary." Omegon said, looking at his brother with a solemn gaze. The betrayal of a Prince to the Ruinous Powers of Chaos was not a trivial matter.

Alpharius did not reply and stood up, walked to a holographic keyboard, and began typing something, and not long after, the Throne Room on Terra manifested in front of the two brothers.

But the one on the throne was none other than Daenerys; the woman was wearing a red dress and a Valyrian steel crown on her hair. Even being thousands of light-years away, both Primarchs felt they were in the presence of time itself, cruel and indifferent.

"My Queen." Alpharius and Omegon greeted Daenerys with respect. "We have urgent information."

Daenerys couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and nodded. Had something happened on Sagittarius Secundus? Her son was so useless that he couldn't even deal with a small planet.

Alpharius did not hesitate to tell what was happening on the Gloriana-Class Battleship – Alpha.

Daenerys's face became extremely cold with Alpharius's explanation, but just as both Primarchs expected, the queen simply remained silent and nodded again.

"My husband and I already know about our useless son's betrayal; just continue as planned and do not change your attitude when you talk to him again." Daenerys spoke in a calm tone. She had already expected Aegon's betrayal even before he was born, so she was already used to the idea of him betraying House Targaryen.

Daenerys saw the Primarchs' helpless expressions and guessed their thoughts. Sighing, she spoke in a calm tone. "I know your desire to kill him, but that is my husband's wish. Aegon will die, but not now, and certainly not at your hands."

Alpharius and Omegon nodded, but still felt a bitter taste in their mouths. Treating a traitor well was against everything they believed and learned, but the Emperor's orders came before anything else, including their own beliefs and feelings.

"Yes, My Queen." Both spoke at the same time, and Daenerys just nodded, her hologram disappearing.

"It seems things are more complicated than they look." Omegon said, and Alpharius nodded.

Nota: Note: I am rewriting Son of Zeus. I wasn't liking the protagonist, so I decided to rewrite everything. The protagonist's name has been changed, as well as his age, appearance, and even his powers. He is no longer the son of Zeus or any other god from Percy Jackson.

The timeline has changed, even the universe. Now it's much more down to earth and full of magic, since the protagonist, Cadmus Peverell, has the complete legacy of Harry Potter in an alternate universe where Rhaegar wins the rebellion.

Unlike Son of Zeus, the new Game of Thrones: The Court Magician has a solid and coherent timeline. I will no longer write on impulse, as I did with Son of Zeus.

I already have 20 chapters, and I will release five chapters on Sunday.
