A shadow of gloom passed through Kingsly's eyes. After a three-second pause, he said, "I understand... Set up a video conference in half an hour."
"Yes..."
Helen hesitated before asking, "When will you be back, Mr. Scott?"
She had never heard Helen sound so heavy and worried.
Kingsly's deep, dark eyes fixed on her, "I won't be back for now. Handle the company's minor affairs."
"But Mr. Scott..."
Kingsly had already ended the call.
She furrowed her brows.
Kingsly's hand returned to her waist, his face close to hers as he asked affectionately, "What do you want to eat?"
"What does 'the government won' mean? And what did Helen say about Mr. Franklin taking a second action?" she asked urgently.
"Didn't I tell you? You don't need to worry about company matters. I have it under control."
"Does 'won' mean the government won the case against Titans Group for breach of contract on the Gold Coast project?" she pressed on.
Kingsly finally looked at her, saying nothing.
