Chapter 665 - Chapter 665 If Only He Were a Bit Older

Biscuit had been called over by Law, and she brought Bruna along with her.

Bruna had contracted her soft body and tentacles significantly, reducing her size by half as she nestled comfortably on Law's shoulder.

"Law, I missed you."

Bruna's light, youthful voice sounded in Law's ear, speaking the common language of the Six Continents.

Law turned his head to look at Bruna, whose large eyes were sparkling brightly, and said with surprise, "You learned the common language?"

"Yes, not just the common language. Big Sis Biscuit also taught me a lot about gemstones," Bruna said enthusiastically.

"Impressive."

Law patted Bruna's head in praise, then looked at Biscuit, who was observing Kurapika with an extremely serious expression.

Her eyes seemed like precision scanners, conducting an incredibly detailed examination of Kurapika.

Seeing Biscuit's attitude, Law felt quite pleased, thinking that inviting Biscuit over was absolutely the right choice.

'With Cookie here, Kurapika's training efficiency can be greatly improved.'

Law thought to himself, then suddenly heard Biscuit mutter softly, "What a shame."

'A shame?'

Law looked at Biscuit, puzzled, and asked, "What? Does Kurapika seem to have some problem?"

Biscuit, however, sighed, a look of disappointment appearing on her delicate, doll-like face.

Seeing Biscuit's reaction, Law's heart skipped a beat, 'Could something have happened to Kurapika that I wasn't aware of? And something quite serious at that.'

Just as Law was feeling apprehensive, he heard Biscuit say regretfully, "If only he were a bit older."

"What?" Law was momentarily stunned.

Biscuit shifted her gaze to Law, pulled out a magazine of handsome men from who-knows-where, quickly flipped to a specific page, and then pressed her white-gloved index finger onto a color picture.

The picture featured a shirtless blond man with a physique that could be called the golden ratio.

Biscuit's eyes sparkled, her tone slightly excited as she said, "Look, doesn't he look like him? Just a bit of an age difference."

"…" Law's face immediately darkened.

Biscuit completely ignored Law's reaction, rubbing her cheek against the picture of the blond man, lamenting, "What a shame, what a shame."

Watching Biscuit's fangirling behavior, Law massaged his forehead, not knowing what to say.

Bruna leaned close to Law's ear and whispered, "Law, I often see Biscuit acting like this. What's wrong with her?"

"Nothing. Just don't learn from her," Law said, patting Bruna's head.

"Oh." Bruna nodded, only half-understanding.

After a while, Biscuit finally composed herself, put away the magazine, and asked, "What does he want to conjure?"

"Chains," Law replied.

"Using chains as a weapon? That's quite rare."

"Yes, mainly for restraint. For offense, they'd be similar to a whip, but chains have far greater versatility than a whip."

"Obviously. But conjuring chains is much more difficult than conjuring a whip," Biscuit pondered.

"Right. So with Cookie here, he'll have more time to overcome this hurdle," Law said.

Biscuit rolled her eyes at him and said helplessly, "You called me over just for this."

"Not just for this." Law smiled slightly and said seriously, "I think you could occasionally try something different. Although Kurapika is a bit young, his physique probably feels nice to the touch."

"You could totally take advantage openly under the pretext of training."

"Eh?" Biscuit blinked, a thoughtful expression appearing on her face, as if she had thought of something, slowly turning into a fangirling look, almost drooling.

Not far away, Kurapika, who was concentrating intently on conjuring chains, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and shivered involuntarily.

This inexplicable reaction nearly interrupted his training. He quickly adjusted and stabilized his Aura Output.

It wasn't until he was completely exhausted that Kurapika was forced to stop his training.

Although there seemed to be no progress over many days, he had actually gained something… it just wasn't obvious.

Footsteps sounded in his ears. Kurapika was taken aback because there were two sets of footsteps.

He looked in the direction of the sound and saw Law accompanied by a petite, delicate girl. She was very pretty, and there was a creature resembling a jellyfish crawling on Law's shoulder.

"Master, who is she?" Kurapika asked.

"Her name is Biscuit. She is my mas-"

Law was in the middle of introducing Biscuit to Kurapika when Biscuit kicked him in the calf, cutting him off.

He looked strangely at Biscuit, who was giving him a meaningful look.

Law knew Biscuit well. Recalling the point where she had interrupted him, he immediately understood.

She apparently didn't want to be seen as old, so she didn't want him to mention the master-disciple relationship during the introduction.

Having figured it out, Law felt a slight headache. Meeting Kurapika's puzzled gaze, he continued, "-is my friend. Her Nen can provide you with a better training environment, and she will be the qualified sparring partner you need."

After hearing Law's introduction, even though Biscuit's appearance seemed frail, Kurapika didn't doubt it at all. He looked at Biscuit and introduced himself very politely.

This behavior gave Biscuit a good first impression of Kurapika.

After everyone, including Bruna, had introduced themselves and gotten acquainted, Law looked at Kurapika, who couldn't hide his fatigue, and said, "Biscuit, bring out Cookie."

Then, he explained to Kurapika, "Cookie's massages can help relieve your fatigue."

Kurapika immediately connected this to the training environment Law had mentioned earlier. Then, he watched as Biscuit conjured the young and beautiful Cookie on the spot, startling him.

After materializing, Cookie smiled at Law, greeting him silently.

Kurapika exclaimed in surprise, "You can even conjure a person?"

"Of course. Didn't I tell you?" Law asked, surprised.

"No!" Kurapika stated firmly.

"Is that so? Well, you know now," Law rubbed his chin.

Seeing this, Kurapika could only sigh silently.

Biscuit signaled Cookie to go massage Kurapika and explained at the same time, "Some Conjurers don't focus on weapons but lean more towards Nen Beasts and clones."

"The former are usually imbued with special abilities that match the user's attributes, while the latter's advantage lies in tactics."

Kurapika sat obediently, letting Cookie massage him while listening attentively to Biscuit's explanation.

"Whether it's the former or the latter, the difficulty of conjuration varies depending on the level of demand. For example, conjuring one's own clone might sound incredible, but the difficulty of mastering it isn't actually that high."

"After all, everyone knows themselves well, so the requirement for imagination during the conjuration process isn't very high."

"And the greatest tactical value of a clone is remote projection."

"As long as you incorporate Emission Techniques, you can pretend to be an Emitter in combat, launching Nen Bullets for long-range attacks."

"When the enemy thinks they've dodged it, instantly transform the Nen constituting the bullet into a human form, delivering a fatal blow to the enemy."

Listening to Biscuit's detailed explanation of Conjuration Abilities, Kurapika suddenly felt he had been too naive, thinking he had already mastered most Nen Knowledge when in fact he had only touched the surface.

'Nen was truly vast and profound.'

Thinking this, Kurapika couldn't help but look at Law, only to see an expression on Law's face that seemed to say, "So that's how it is."

'Why... does this feel so unreliable?'

Kurapika thought silently.
