"What if Dad gets angry?" I looked up to Edward who leaned down to press a kiss against my forehead.
"Has he picked up your calls in the past few months?"
"No."
"Has he bothered to pay back any of your money that he clearly stole?"
"No," I mumbled seeing where he was already steering this too.
"Then I don't think you should care what he thinks about you if I'm being honest. You deserve to have your own family network Connor. Not the one that your Dad hand selects for you. Until the day he treats you the way a Dad should treat a son. I wouldn't really bother being worried about his opinion if I was you."
