"Mom would like to see you," Melanie chirped as I made myself a cup of coffee in the kitchen.
Everyone was lazing around the house finally adjusting to the Phoenix sun and actually having a great time. We had gone hiking two days ago and yesterday we had spent the entire day exploring the city. Today Clair and Gee went home to pack for tomorrow's road trip, David and Demyan went into town to go exploring whilst Ted and Henry were outside by the pool getting a tan. Edward was with them under the safety of the patio in the shade, with lots of sunscreen to prevent sunburn.
He was adorable as he clicked away on his laptop, his lips twisted as he hummed along to the music playing through speakers of the house in a gentle hum that didn't feel like we were in a night club.
"You've been burning to tell me this haven't you," I sighed as I poured sugar into it and then got out a bottle of cream from the fridge. Edward liked his coffee toxically sweet and it had rubbed off on me.
