"I could have just extended your visa you know," I frowned as I drove Melanie and I to the airport. I didn't know why the last week of her being here had flown by so fast but it did and I fucking hated it.
I partially hated myself for denying myself from getting to know Melanie because of Dads dumb expectations of generational hate. I had wasted so much time chasing after Dads expectations when I had a bloody great sister existing out there in the world constantly trying to reach out to me.
The two months of her being here just flew by faster than I would have ever expected. I had thought the years of hurt and neglect would have affected us but it didn't. It never got between us in the end. We clicked as if we had spent our entire lives together.
